the q on harris has been making quite a buzz for the past few months with it's fusion menu serving asian inspired food. we were first drawn to the cafe by their doublematchacheesecake and decided to drop in for brunch one weekend. the cabinet has a selection of sweet and savory goods, including their famousmatchacheesecake.

i come here after seeing many photos of foodie shared in instagram. if you likematchajapanese green tea, i suggest you try theirmatchacheesecake which is the best in the city. it has a cookie crumble base and authenticmatchataste which complements their delicious coffee. will certainly come back just for the deliciousmatchacheesecake. yum

located right across from powerhouse museum in ultimo, this place specializes in indonesian coffee as the owner really knows his coffee well and done his own roasting in house that helps in keeping their coffee always freshly served... :)

they also served beautiful food here and i have to admit, beautiful interior as well... more like an industrial design kinda look? :)

all i can say is いただきます.... itadakimasuuuuuuu..... saying grace for this beautiful food is definitely a must.... i mean look at that spread!

// kabuki waffle with free range fried chicken, honey yuzu glaze, savoury waffles, cabbage slaw, shicimi salt, and wasabi mayo dip.... 😍👍🏼🍗🍯 // eggplant & mushroom caponata tartine with burrata cheese, pomodoro sauce, pumpkin crisp, shimeji & button mushrooms, and basil kalamata olive tapenade //matchacheesecake (this is sahhhhhh good! maybe one of the best we ever tried in sydney) // wash it down with a great indonesian coffee // ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 stars!)

been seeing a lot of posts on the oreomatchacheesecake from q on harris so decided to go there a bit earlier before work to get one for breakfast. it's $10/slice which my colleagues thought were expensive. the cheesecake was nice with a strongmatchaflavor and extremely filling. i had to finish the rest for afternoon tea!

cute little cafe with very friendly staff and great service! i have visited twice, first time i had to try theirmatchacheesecake and it was good but a bit hyped up in my opinion. the salmon tartine was also quite average to me, but the mushroom tartine and kabuki waffles were amazing!! the second time i tried the scrambled eggs after seeing it so much on instagram and it definitely lives up to the hype, soft and fluffy japanese style. the pandan creme brûlée was also so good, i liked it much better than the cheesecake as it had the sugar crust, pandan flavour and crumbly tart base, simply delicious 😍 the friendly waitress there even remembered me from my first visit!

i went to this place hearing that they had amatchacheesecake speciality. they have a small menu, so each dish was unique in its very own way. i ordered the scrambled eggs & caramlised bacon for myself, where my mate ordered the chicken waffles. the food was very delicious! we also ordered all the cakes, which consisted of the pandan and yuzu creme brulee & thematchacake. the cake was my absolute fav ! very good textures andmatchaflavor & loved how the base was oreo flavored. the creme brulees were very nice aswell, with perfect caramalized sugar top.

i am only commenting on their desserts as i saw photos of their famousmatchacheesecake and i have been craving it ever since.

so today, i got my husband to drive us there so i could finally get to try and i even rang the cafe to reserve two slices for me as i was going to get there near closing time. when i was ordering, i noticed one lonely pandan brûlée tart ($7) so i had to try that too.

we had it after dinner and while thematchacheesecake is small and my husband complained that it's not worth $10 for the size, i thought the taste was great with a good level ofmatchaand the chocolate crumb base was perfect. my husband preferred their pandan brûlée tart which i also enjoyed and i would come back to get their desserts again!

also the staff were super friendly too, i must come and try their food as well.

trekked here on foot on an extremely hot day and boy we were not disappointed! offering different and varied brunch options, we had the chicken waffles and the katsu sandwich, both of which were amazing! perfect portions, addictive flavours and decently priced for cafe food, we were very happy with our time here. not to mention the indulgentmatchacheesecake was definitely a lovely treat and great way to finish of our meal. to top it off, the staff were so sweet and you know you’ll be well taken care of when you go here as they provide probably one of the best customer service we have experienced at a cafe or any restaurant for that matter!

benji..... bring back yourmatchacheese cake!!
i was craving for this and decided to re-visit this cafe again, but unfortunately........no more cheese cake!
well, i just had a picollo, coffee taste as good as before, $3.50 to take away.
unfortunately i just had lunch, otherwise i will try the “nasi q ning” indonesian dish that features on the menu!
anyway, will try next time, and some of photo is the old dishes.

i used to go the q for brunch last year in may, it was nice during that time, staff are nice and kindly give advice. i love thismatchacake so so so much! the brunch is great as well and served fast. however, i went there again recently, because i miss thismatchacake, a female staff was not friendly. and told me they didn't do cakes for a long time.

making the most of non 9am uni starts by exploring new places for breakfast. the menu is quite limited here, but it’s a quiet cafe just away from the city with a nice courtyard and natural lighting, perfect for a place to chat. i’m quite behind on places to eat since uni has started, so didn’t even realise they stopped selling theirmatchacheesecake last year.

as the cafe scene in sydney is on the rise, one must have a distinct identity to attract their customers. surely, this cafe fit the bill. they sell thematchacheesecake with an oreo base, which i definitely had to try as i love matcha. the cake did not disappoint. i was surprised to taste yuzu on the cake which made it refreshing and light. the waitstaff were highly attentive to the needs of their diners and always had a smile on their faces. this place has that chill vibe where in customers would just want to linger and drink their coffee at a slower pace. they do have more seats at the back as pointed out by the staff if you are worried about the sitting the capacity.
