i went to this place hearing that they had a matcha cheesecake speciality. they have a small menu, so each dish was unique in its very own way. i ordered the scrambled eggs & caramlised bacon for myself, where my mate ordered thechickenwaffles. the food was very delicious! we also ordered all the cakes, which consisted of the pandan and yuzu creme brulee & the matcha cake. the cake was my absolute fav ! very good textures and matcha flavor & loved how the base was oreo flavored. the creme brulees were very nice aswell, with perfect caramalized sugar top.

trekked here on foot on an extremely hot day and boy we were not disappointed! offering different and varied brunch options, we had thechickenwaffles and the katsu sandwich, both of which were amazing! perfect portions, addictive flavours and decently priced for cafe food, we were very happy with our time here. not to mention the indulgent matcha cheesecake was definitely a lovely treat and great way to finish of our meal. to top it off, the staff were so sweet and you know you’ll be well taken care of when you go here as they provide probably one of the best customer service we have experienced at a cafe or any restaurant for that matter!

mixed feelings about this place. the aesthetics were top and it can surprisingly accomodate heaps of people. the coffee was really good. i ordered the friedchickenwaffles, and sorry to disappoint--but i wasn't a fan of it, albeit it being the most popular dish on the menu. the waffles were very bland. the friedchickenitself was mediocre but together, they do not go very well. idk, truly not my portion. we ordered a pandan cake, which was absolutely amazing, tbh only highlight of my experience there. just my two cents :)

conveniently located across from the powerhouse museum, this cute corner cafe offers indoor & outdoor seating in a cosy courtyard as well as on site coffee roasting. an all day menu showcases a variety of modern dishes with asian, french & american influences. the kabuki waffle is friedchicken& waffles with korean accents. it came with glossy, caramelisedchickenpieces which were sweet, juicy & tender. the waffles are made with a spicy batter & had a real kick. bibimbap is another dish showcasing the korean influence in a healthier way. japanese features in the yuzu brulee tart which has beautiful acidity in the light custard that contrasts with the sweet buttery base & caramel praline top. pandan brulee tart was fragrant, although sweeter then the yuzu but just as delectable. you cannot eat here without trying the matcha cheesecake with oreo base. it has a good matcha flavour without being overly sweet or bitter. the texture is silky yet dense & the oreo base was the perfect vessle for carrying the creamy cake. having their own rostery means a great coffee to be had and with friendly service also, this makes a perfect trendy yet relaxed meal.

the kabuki waffles were the highlight of today's meal - great flavour combinations that went well with each other. i definitely recommend this dish if you plan on visiting. thechickenwas crunchy and moist which went perfectly with the wasabi mayo. the smoked salmon and eggs were also nice if you were after something lighter. don't forget to try their matcha cheesecake. you'll enjoy it if you're after an intensified matcha flavour.

came here for lunch on a sunday and the place was packed. had to wait for 45 minutes for a table, and another 45 minutes for the food. was a stressful wait because we were so hungry.

ordered the matcha cheesecake, bibimbap and scrambled egg withchickenand mushroom.

the match cheesecake was divine, love the texture and the taste. was not too sweet, which is really good because cafes in sydney tend to make sweet cakes.

the bibimbap was good, except for the kimchi that was served hot which has a really weird taste.

the friendchickenwas not like any usual friendchickenbecause it has some spice added to it, wasnt bad but it was unique.

overall, love their fusion brunch concept! hope kitchen productivity could improve in the near future.

a beautiful and chic cafe which is located across the powerhouse museum. the food concept is really good too - they sell things which are unique and special. i believe the low ratings i gave them is only temporary and i will come again in the future.

i ordered the matcha cheesecake, which tasted solid and fresh, unlike the stale and tasteless one i got at cre asion. the spicy waffles were disappointing though. i thought they should change the recipe by adding more milk to give it a base. similarly, the friedchickenwas nicely prepared but it would taste better if a little more salt or spices were added.

the q on harris has been trending all over social media lately for their wacky, yet irresistible creations, the matcha cheesecake andchickenwaffles are just to name a few.. these have definitely grabbed our attention, with christie's love for green tea and matt's for chicken, waffles and basically anything else fried and unhealthy. so when we were invited to dine here, how exactly could we say no!

really adorable, slightly hipster decor. friendly and accommodating waitstaff. the menu features an eclectic mix of items, including classic asian dishes like bibimbab, chickenand waffles, and quintessential brunch items, featuring things on toast. my friend had the bibimbab, while i had the avocado on toast. the presentation of the avocado on toast was nicer than your average sydney cafe, with the avocado sliced thinly and expertly on top of the bread. between the avocado and the bread, there was miso, which added a lovely, unexpected flavour to the combination. all in all, delicious. there were also green shoots on the avocado, which i'd put aside. after i finished eating, the waiter said if i didn't like them, i could tell them next time and they'd change it for something else- this hospitality made a nice dining experience all the more appreciable.
we finished with the matcha cheesecake, which was rich, with a strong matcha flavour.

really liked this place -chickenwaffles were great it's a must try, did not try the matcha cheesecake but it looked nice.the avo stack was apparently good and the eggs scrambled was nice- bacon was cooked well and crunchy but not to a crisp.

one of my new favourite cafe in ultimo! they are famous for their matcha (new york style) cheesecake which is so delicious- smooth, not too heavy with a hint of lemon and oreo base. but there is much more that i enjoy here, for example : their friedchickenon waffle, house smoke pastrami sandwiches and make sure you leave room for dessert! i recommend all the dishes i've uploaded.

love this little cafe the service here is absolutely amazing

the best dishes are thechickenand waffle and the b and e sandwich. thechickenand waffle is very spicy but pairs together nicely, make sure you ask for maple syrup! the egg is very fluffly and smooth in texture, very well done

the matcha cheesecake is to die for, creamy and the chocolate biscuit on the sides and bottom pairs superbly

def recommend

contemporary setting, cute little courtyard at the back, staff were extremely friendly, we ordered a bit of everything and it was devine! felt like a japanese influence on western brunch, with each dish there was an option of sourdough or soft japanese toast. kabuki waffles and salmon tartines stood out the most for us, the kabuki waffles had amazingchickenwith waffles and wasabi mayo (was not chili/spicy, you can taste the wasabi but it didn't go up your nose) and the salmon was refreshing. we ended the meal with matcha cheese cake and it was to die for (only if you love cheese and matcha). would definitely come here again!
