we stayed there in 2019 august my colleagues from different countries in africa had a wonderful experience, hospitality and enjoyed our stay with nice and jovial professional staff mahendra and pramod always gave us the best we could ask for
keep it up with the good work gentlemen and the rest of the staff, the food was always very delicious 😋 next time i get a chance to go back to nagpur iam definitely staying at hotel ashok

mr. pramod is very good manager at restaurant.. he takes care of all guests personally and ensures timely and quality food..hotelashok is just like a second home for me.. it's ambience, food quality and services.. everything is awesome..

have been a regular visitor here.the place is quite good with a great pool side seating arrangement.the staff is polite.overall the taste of food is quite good.they charge extra for decoration on special days like valentines day.i paid around 1500rs but the decoration was not worth it.the ordered food take a long time to come if thehotelis hosting other parties in their premises.

very poor experience from thehoteldepartment.
we were a total of 12 people going for dinner after pre booking the table. when we reached there, they did not give us any table stating that the tables are not empty. this is very unprofessional experience from such a bighotelhere in nagpur.

hoping that other people do not go through the same experience.

very bad experience, waited for more than 30 mins and basic table set up was not done- no table mats, no empty glasses nothing . even water was not served for more than 30 mins. even after asking multiple times the staff was rude and shouted back that service will take time. even basic water is what was expected the least. do something with your staff and the service offered. one starhoteleven have basic courtesy to serve water to customers with basic table set up. never expected this kind of service with worst attitude of the restaurant manager

thehotelitself is smaller in size compared to its delhi branch which i visited a long time ago. its posh lobby and flourescent colored lights inside the restaurant give it a lounge feel

paneer pahadi this well grilled succulent masaledar starter geared up my digestive system

paneer lasuniya garlic flavoured onion curry had a intensely unique flavour and had a rich aroma. laccha paratha was crispy flaky and went well with the curry

though a bit overpriced and not much to choose from the indian rice menu section its a cut above your average north indian eateries

we had ordered a ashok special ghevar , because it was a recommended item on the menu. but to our surprise we were served a stale ghevar... that ended us having an upset stomach... very poor service from ur sidehotelnagpur ashok. kindly dont do this to anyone else.

the nagpur ashok is a 3 star hotel. you can stay there or you can just go to dine on the top of the building.

ambience:
ambience wise you can't complain of anything. there is a reason it's a 3 starhoteland it delivers. the place is clean, though when we went there it was overcrowded still you can't complain of the cleanliness. there was an option to sit outside but we preferred to sit in the ac hall as it was summer evening. we went on a sunday so thehotelwas tightly packed. i particularly liked the orchestra which was playing on the terrace side. did i mention the pool? yeah, this place has one!

food:
we ordered non veg platter, two pair of mocktails (i got two on two on zomato gold so yeah.. why not 😅) mutton biryani, and masala papad. there were 4 types of chicken starters in the platter and each one tasted awesome. i mean literally the chicken was juicy and delicious. this was the second time i tasted such a nice starter after 'talking hands'. the mocktails were good enough to be recommended. i particularly liked the kiwi mocktail. virgin mary was a disaster for me personally as i didn't know it contains tomato puree before ordering( i hate tomatoes). so it was not the restaurants fault. however what we all didn't like is the good looking, heart breaking, mutton dum biryani. it took the taste of the starters away. it is not recommended at all. that's why i gave this place 4 stars instead of 5. but overall the food experience was good enough to recommend this place.

service:
as i mentioned the place was overcrowded and packed, you just can't imagine how well the waiters (most probably the students ofhotelmanagement) managed the crowd. every one was quick, calm, polite and at the same time attentive enough to listen to your requests. you already feel the service when you enter. so i'll rate 5 out of 5 if only the service is concerned.

budget:
this place is nowhere near cheap. the bill for all the items i mentioned was somewhere near 3k. but it's a 3 start hotel. it delivers the taste, (though biryani was an exception) but it didn't disappoint as 'pablo' did.

verdict:
if you've got the bang, and you don't think about bang for the buck, this place is surely recommend to be visited at least once!

poor food quality and hopeless administration. the staff is irresponsible and rude. our vehicle parked by valet was stuck for one whole hour due tohotelvalet and even after following up everyone in thehoteleven senior managers they were hopeless and irresponsible and did not come out to be helpful in the slightest way possible. the operations manager in thishotelis the most hopeless guy and surely doesn’t care about this hotel’s reputation. even after making us go through so much trouble he did not apologise and was being rude. i would never recommend anyone to visit thishotelbe it for stay or dining . the most hopeless experience all over.

the ashok

this is a rooftop restaurant and a real gem
parking can a little difficult sincehoteldoesn’t have it’s own parking.
when you reach up, there is a receptionist to assist you.
there are couple tables at the end, the view from there is great.
food here is also not so bad
it is a good place for a quiet dinner.
but just once in a while

was staying in thishotelfor a day and had heard about their restaurant named theroof deck. i had ordered a chicken teriyaki starter a murg shahi,chicken fried rice,chilli chicken gravy and hyderabadi dum biryani which had an option of taking raita or some sort of gravy which is prepared for the biryani.the ambience is pretty good and the staff is courteous.they have marvellous chandeliers while you go towards the restaurant.i would recommend people to have chinese cuisine as the chefs are expert in it .

thehotelis situated at laxmi nagar near aath rasta square.the ambiance of thehotelis really amazing it has roof top pool also. you can also enjoy the live music here and you can also request the artist to play your favourite song or birthday song. they have live television also the sitting area is really nice the food court is on 7th floor. the food is also good the starter paneer achari tikka and the curd onion are so delicious, mouth watering. the manchow soup is also good. as we ordered fried rice which is also good the staff is really very supportive in nature. but due to crowd the service is little slow. the interior of the restaurant is very good.

this place pool deck is really really nice if you are looking for a nice roof top dinner! you need to visit here for sure!

this restaurant is on 7th floor ofhotelashok.
a nice ambience.. with a pool by the side..also has a bar counter.
we went for lunch. and it was all empty.
we ordered a non veg platter,awadhi murg,rotis,rice.
platter had 16 pieces..a mix of chicken and fish....it was tasty,properly cooked and with a balance of spices.have it if you love tandoori food.
coming to the main course..the curry was too less in quantity..and thus overpriced. it's just 4- 5 small pieces and some curry.
so all in all..go to this place if you're high on budget and look for a quiet ambience(atleast in the day).


and yes the service is really slow and they don't really pay attention towards their customers. this was when we were the only people in the whole restaurant. god bless the ones who go during rush hours.
