definitely not a 5 star experience!! we went for dinner, it’s a rooftop restaurant, the feel is amazing when you get there, but the outside seating they have is not cleaned & it’s very dusty (the tables & chairs). there’s not much variety in food they serve, it’s just the normal food menu. we ordered, paneer tikka biryani, veg manchurian & honey chilli potato.
presentation: 2/5
taste: 3/5
also, i noticed one thing this time, that earlier they had a good staff, which used to look after the services & were present most of the times but this time, it wasn’t the same. earlier they used to provide the service of wet rolled towels before the meal, but this time they lack in providing the same. so as far now i have been here for many times but the currentexperiencewasn’t good at all. need to improve.

one of worstexperiencei ever had we went late to have some food by 11:00 pm and we ordered the soup and crispy veg the soup so worst i ever had and in crispy veg there was potato nothing else there were no sausage even we had a complain the waiter was also like that yes we know the food is not good but we cant to anything as authority does not permit only we can do is change the menu or we give complimentary it means that they accept that the food is not good
if people want ambience then is good but the food quality is worst

worst place i have ever visited. we had ordered veg soup and they gave non-veg soup by mistake. worst service. we had to wait for that soup for 55 mintues and we got wrong non veg soup. biggest blunder. i wish minus rating option was available. main course was given after 1 and half hour. worst worst worstexperiencei have ever had i my entire life.

unprofessional staff, food quality is average, uncleaned restaurant (rats and spiders are roaming and hanging around table) no proper service, once you order food, waiting time is too much (min 30-40min).. and they have not served as well, just kept it and went without any eye contact amd proper communication... no serving food on your plate. from myexperiencepeople having drinks were high priority than non drinkers.. no eye contact unless you shout at them.. only one girl was attending everyone.. please read this before you go.. waste of money and time..

i went to poolside deck with 3 of my friends on sunday, november 17. we sat in the open area. let me start by saying that the seats were really uncomfortable (just for me i guess). all 4 of us ordered cocktails and 2 of us repeated them. all 4 of us are unwell since yesterday (monday). after the drinks, we ordered plain dal fry and roti. the dal was really horrible. i don't usually write bad reviews but this had to be said. there was also the issue of the waiting staff not being attentive enough. but i'll let that go cos it was a sunday and they had a lot of people to cater to. all in all, a very badexperiencefor me.

the nagpur ashok is a 3 star hotel. you can stay there or you can just go to dine on the top of the building.

ambience:
ambience wise you can't complain of anything. there is a reason it's a 3 star hotel and it delivers. the place is clean, though when we went there it was overcrowded still you can't complain of the cleanliness. there was an option to sit outside but we preferred to sit in the ac hall as it was summer evening. we went on a sunday so the hotel was tightly packed. i particularly liked the orchestra which was playing on the terrace side. did i mention the pool? yeah, this place has one!

food:
we ordered non veg platter, two pair of mocktails (i got two on two on zomato gold so yeah.. why not 😅) mutton biryani, and masala papad. there were 4 types of chicken starters in the platter and each one tasted awesome. i mean literally the chicken was juicy and delicious. this was the second time i tasted such a nice starter after 'talking hands'. the mocktails were good enough to be recommended. i particularly liked the kiwi mocktail. virgin mary was a disaster for me personally as i didn't know it contains tomato puree before ordering( i hate tomatoes). so it was not the restaurants fault. however what we all didn't like is the good looking, heart breaking, mutton dum biryani. it took the taste of the starters away. it is not recommended at all. that's why i gave this place 4 stars instead of 5. but overall the foodexperiencewas good enough to recommend this place.

service:
as i mentioned the place was overcrowded and packed, you just can't imagine how well the waiters (most probably the students of hotel management) managed the crowd. every one was quick, calm, polite and at the same time attentive enough to listen to your requests. you already feel the service when you enter. so i'll rate 5 out of 5 if only the service is concerned.

budget:
this place is nowhere near cheap. the bill for all the items i mentioned was somewhere near 3k. but it's a 3 start hotel. it delivers the taste, (though biryani was an exception) but it didn't disappoint as 'pablo' did.

verdict:
if you've got the bang, and you don't think about bang for the buck, this place is surely recommend to be visited at least once!

we chanced upon this place while looking for fine dine places in nagpur. as we reached the terrace, i was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful pool side ambience. there was a band singing old kishore kumar songs which was a perfect blend for the breezy evening :)

for starters we ordered tandoori platter and paneer seekh kebab. while the platter was splendid in its own way, what took me by sheer surprise was the paneer seekh. it was excellently made, probably the best paneer starter i have had. even the platter had a lovely combination of chicken, mutton and fish. i would definitely recommend both these dishes. for mains, we ordered staples which was plain and simple.

overall, i would strongly recommend this place for people seeking some quiet fine dineexperienceaway from the chaos of the city! this place is a must :)

poor food quality and hopeless administration. the staff is irresponsible and rude. our vehicle parked by valet was stuck for one whole hour due to hotel valet and even after following up everyone in the hotel even senior managers they were hopeless and irresponsible and did not come out to be helpful in the slightest way possible. the operations manager in this hotel is the most hopeless guy and surely doesn’t care about this hotel’s reputation. even after making us go through so much trouble he did not apologise and was being rude. i would never recommend anyone to visit this hotel be it for stay or dining . the most hopelessexperienceall over.
