definitely not a 5 star experience!! we went for dinner, it’s a rooftop restaurant, the feel is amazing when you get there, but the outside seating they have is not cleaned & it’s very dusty (the tables & chairs). there’s not much variety in food they serve, it’s just the normal food menu. we ordered, paneer tikka biryani, veg manchurian & honey chilli potato.

taste: 3/5
also, i noticed one thing this time, that earlier they had agoodstaff, which used to look after the services & were present most of the times but this time, it wasn’t the same. earlier they used to provide the service of wet rolled towels before the meal, but this time they lack in providing the same. so as far now i have been here for many times but the current experience wasn’tgoodat all. need to improve.

one of worst experience i ever had we went late to have some food by 11:00 pm and we ordered the soup and crispy veg the soup so worst i ever had and in crispy veg there was potato nothing else there were no sausage even we had a complain the waiter was also like that yes we know the food is notgoodbut we cant to anything as authority does not permit only we can do is change the menu or we give complimentary it means that they accept that the food is notgood
if people want ambience then isgoodbut the food quality is worst

so first we were told that we would have a poolside table but when we reached there it was not exactly beside the pool so we asked if we could be shifted to the vacant tables beside the pool to which we got the answer that that section is particularly reserved for couples which is totally absurd. after facing this setback when we sat down at our table, the live music started which was pathetic. a couple of old guys singing songs which made us eat our meal faster so that we could get out of there fast. another thing they don't have half of the booze which is printed on the menu. the food took forever to reach us. all in all not agoodexperience.i seriously doubt that i will ever even think about visiting this place again.

so my experience was verygood! i had the hot and sour soup along with veg tandoori platter ! soup was very delicious and platter also ! it was a great experience with open air space andgoodfood and service ! and their staff was also very calmed and polite.

we stayed there in 2019 august my colleagues from different countries in africa had a wonderful experience, hospitality and enjoyed our stay with nice and jovial professional staff mahendra and pramod always gave us the best we could ask for
keep it up with thegoodwork gentlemen and the rest of the staff, the food was always very delicious 😋 next time i get a chance to go back to nagpur iam definitely staying at hotel ashok

mr. pramod is verygoodmanager at restaurant.. he takes care of all guests personally and ensures timely and quality food.. hotel ashok is just like a second home for me.. it's ambience, food quality and services.. everything is awesome..

have been a regular visitor here.the place is quitegoodwith a great pool side seating arrangement.the staff is polite.overall the taste of food is quite good.they charge extra for decoration on special days like valentines day.i paid around 1500rs but the decoration was not worth it.the ordered food take a long time to come if the hotel is hosting other parties in their premises.

a lot of room for improvement, the service is abysmal, the decor and interior is shabby and old, food is average, in all if you wish to havegoodtimes then look for anything but this place.. thankfully i missed this on a big date and visited this for a dine out.. to add on the live music makes everything further disgusting ...
credit be given where it’s due, the front office staff specially the girls are doing phenomenal job in managing the cool of angry guests, they do deserve better than this shabby place...

do not visit, rather visit gauri vrindavan, a pao bhaji joint not far away from this establishment

nice place with amazing ambience, great view, friendly staff,goodfood. i would like to thank the complete staff and especially mr. sachin for such an amazing hospitality. surely amongst the finest place in nagpur and a must visit place.

great ambience.. food served tasted good.. and large quantity.. staff were polite and attentive..all in all agoodplace to spend time with friends.

food is not thatgoodit is ok ok but if you see the price of a cutting tool that food is very bad in taste and also the services to our when i asked them for a diet i have a zomato gold the manager was not so happy about it and that's the first time i felt bad about the hotel.

the nagpur ashok is a 3 star hotel. you can stay there or you can just go to dine on the top of the building.

ambience:
ambience wise you can't complain of anything. there is a reason it's a 3 star hotel and it delivers. the place is clean, though when we went there it was overcrowded still you can't complain of the cleanliness. there was an option to sit outside but we preferred to sit in the ac hall as it was summer evening. we went on a sunday so the hotel was tightly packed. i particularly liked the orchestra which was playing on the terrace side. did i mention the pool? yeah, this place has one!

food:
we ordered non veg platter, two pair of mocktails (i got two on two on zomato gold so yeah.. why not 😅) mutton biryani, and masala papad. there were 4 types of chicken starters in the platter and each one tasted awesome. i mean literally the chicken was juicy and delicious. this was the second time i tasted such a nice starter after 'talking hands'. the mocktails weregoodenough to be recommended. i particularly liked the kiwi mocktail. virgin mary was a disaster for me personally as i didn't know it contains tomato puree before ordering( i hate tomatoes). so it was not the restaurants fault. however what we all didn't like is thegoodlooking, heart breaking, mutton dum biryani. it took the taste of the starters away. it is not recommended at all. that's why i gave this place 4 stars instead of 5. but overall the food experience wasgoodenough to recommend this place.

service:
as i mentioned the place was overcrowded and packed, you just can't imagine how well the waiters (most probably the students of hotel management) managed the crowd. every one was quick, calm, polite and at the same time attentive enough to listen to your requests. you already feel the service when you enter. so i'll rate 5 out of 5 if only the service is concerned.

budget:
this place is nowhere near cheap. the bill for all the items i mentioned was somewhere near 3k. but it's a 3 start hotel. it delivers the taste, (though biryani was an exception) but it didn't disappoint as 'pablo' did.

verdict:
if you've got the bang, and you don't think about bang for the buck, this place is surely recommend to be visited at least once!

good ambience but not a place i would recommend due to the overpriced food and lesser than expected quantity. the quality of food is good. if you want to enjoy drinks alongside the pool the it's agoodplace for that.
