the misfit restaurant + bar

the restaurant is always full and having waiting. we have seen the rating and went there but it was unexpectedly pathetic. we wanted to have a nice candle light and spend some time together but the server just picked up my plate which had all spinach left and i was particularly saving it for the end coz i like spinach. the guy without been asked brought the bill and i left my half beer and paid the bill and left. i was highly furious bcoz the place was expensive and was not worth of even a single penny. hate theservicetotally. wouldn’t recommend at all we u guys are not planning to order more than 200 usd coz then they will not ask u to get up.

we visited during happy hour so we got half price drinks. i had the sangria and goodnight emilie, both very good. the food was tasty but also on the pricy side. ourservicewas quick and friendly and the cookies at the end didn't hurt either!

the atmosphere was one of the main reasons why i picked this restaurant. i had the ahi tuna burger which tasted great, however for $16 i thought it was a little steep i price. happy hour specials are well worth it and the punch was delicious.servicewas horrible as our server forgot our drinks and had to ask management after 25 minutes of waiting.

dropped by here with my cousin before my flight from lax back to australia and seriously everyone..my god and as last experience of america before the lax experience this was freaking awesome! 

we both just had the misifts burger and it was the most moist (feel free to take out of context) beef pattie i've ever had - apparently they mince their own meat there..that explains it. 

combine that with reasonable pricing, goodserviceand a great selection of beer this place is a must..people this la they think in n out..sure try that then come here for something else :)

i had the avocado toast with bursts and it was divine. it was hefty and tasteful. i also split a chicken sandwich and it was served on brioche which naturally makes everything better! it was sooo good, with some daikon / pickled radishes- yum! on a thursday night, it was packed, there was no room to stand at the bar but that's ok because we were told if we ordered food we could have a table and be seated right away. the drinks were delicious too, we ordered classic drinks so those are hard to mess up. the vibe was trendy, theservicewas decent, but the best part were the free salty chocolate chip cookies at the end of our meal :)

triple threat- great food, cocktails and service!. love the small plates menu that makes sharing and tasting multiple items so much fun. the bacon wrapped dates with almonds and goat cheese were amazing! we also loved the iron skillet fried chicken, so juicy and crispy - just the way its supposed to be. i've had the burger before and its delicious and if we would have been more than 2 people we would have gotten that as well. the spiced red lentils were good, but next time i want to try the chargrilled broccoli or grilled artichocke. the clocktower manhattan cocktail did not disappoint and we knocked down a few. the food was great and memorable, but it was theservicethat really stuck out. we started the night outside and eventhough the misfit was crowed with a 30+ minute wait, they pro-actively worked to get us out of the cold and seated in the restaurant. all of theservicewas prompt and attentive throughout. can't wait to go back!
