the misfit restaurant + bar

great atmosphere! out server, margeaux, was awesome. very attentive without being over bearing on our dining experience. i have the tuna app and the prime rib and crispy lobster nik nik, (btw, a nik nik is just a fancy word for a slider). they were extremely good. overall, a great place for dinner down on the promenade!!

the one thing to remember here is that when you order an item, that is exactly what you will get (plus or minus a pickled vegetable). the sandwiches do not come with sides, and if you are a group of relatively strong eaters, y'all will definitely need to order at least two plates per person (or just grab extra cookies upon your exit).

the restaurant is always full and having waiting. we have seen the rating and went there but it was unexpectedly pathetic. we wanted to have a nice candle light and spend some time together but the server just picked up my plate which had all spinach left and i was particularly saving it for the end coz i like spinach. the guy without been asked brought the bill and i left my half beer and paid the bill and left. i was highly furious bcoz the place was expensive and was not worth of even a single penny. hate the service totally. wouldn’t recommend at all we u guys are not planning to order more than 200 usd coz then they will not ask u to get up.

this is a very happening pub in santa monica and opened till late at night. very easy and comfortable and the food was delicious. ordered a chicken burger with a cappuccino and it came pretty quick. the crowd is mostly younger people.

“misfit (noun) meaning ‘person who does not fit his environment is attested from 1880.” (etymonline.com). misfit restaurant and bar is located on the bottom floor of the 1929 clock tower in santa monica, complete with early 20th century architecture, dim lighting, classic bar, and two levels of seating.  a gem of a spot in a modern scene.

rico. el filete mignon, la sopa de cebolla y la coctelería es fantástica. si bien el precio es elevado la experiencia es inolvidable. cómodo chileno, les recomiendo la carta vino. etiquetas chilenas de renombre. pedí tiramisú como postre y me gustó. recomiendo la coctelería y las carnes.

i've visited the misfit twice now with one visit being good and the other being purely awesome.

plates were ordered both visits with some the same and some differing from the previous trip. one of which was the chicken sandwich that is delicious. the mac n cheese was ordered again, this time without the chorizo...amazing!!! the chorizo is a side item i can most definitely do without because i really got to taste the flavor of the mac n cheese and pancetta the second time around. it was awesome before but without the extra topping, it was excellent.

another item is the prime rib nik niks that was just as delicious as they were from the last visit.

the atmosphere of the misfit bar is live and exciting with lots of people to socialize with while having drinks. there will be plenty more visits to come as misfit continues to impress.

we visited during happy hour so we got half price drinks. i had the sangria and goodnight emilie, both very good. the food was tasty but also on the pricy side. our service was quick and friendly and the cookies at the end didn't hurt either!

the atmosphere was one of the main reasons why i picked this restaurant. i had the ahi tuna burger which tasted great, however for $16 i thought it was a little steep i price. happy hour specials are well worth it and the punch was delicious. service was horrible as our server forgot our drinks and had to ask management after 25 minutes of waiting.

just two blocks from the beach and an elegant yet fun place to hang out. the showcase here are the high ceilings and soaring bar with a combo decor of alcohol and books. happy hour gets the party started early. .. already hopping by 6pm on a summer weekday. menu standouts are avocado toast with cherry tomatoes and crispy roasted brussels sprouts. and (free) yummy cookies to finish off your meal. great place!

los angeles’taki pek meşhur turistik lokasyonlar yerine daha lokal bir restoran bar destinasyonu için sizi 3th street promade’deki the misfit’e alalım. önceden belirtmeliyim ki kapıdaki sırayı aşıp içeri girdiğiniz anda kendinizi 21. yüzyıl los angeles’ından ziyade 20. yüzyıl paris’inde hissetmeniz daha olası. ambiyans harika, kitle keyifli. mekan kokteylleri ile ön plana çıkıyor olsa da vejeteryan ağırlıklı menüsü ile sıra dışı lezzetler yaratma konusunda oldukça iddialı. ama biz yine de bulunduğumuz ülkenin anlam ve önemine binaen etten şaşmıyor, filet mignon ve misfit burger’i deniyor ve pek mesut oluyoruz.😊 amerikalıların et marinasyonu ve pişirme konusundaki know howlarından daha ilk tecrübemizde etkileniyoruz. restoran bar statüsünde bir mekanda bu lezzette bir et ile karşılaşınca, steakhouse larda tam bir gastronomik şölen yaşayacağımızı hayal ediyor, şimdiden heyecanlanıyoruz.☺

delicious food and amazing cocktails.  good location.  nice ambiance inside and patio area out front.  highly recommended. gluten free and dairy free options available.

awesome food and service! the kale salad is amazing and so is the spaghetti squash:)
the mushroom soup is delicious too. our server was prompt and kind...

just wow! i don't think this place was open all that long when we visited and it was (and i'm sure is) v popular.

the queues to get in were crazy.

we went here after a busy touristy day seeing the sights of malibu and la as this was just around the corner from our hotel and not too far from the pier really.

we managed to get a table outside after a few minutes wait.

i ordered the lobster nik niks... these were gorgeous.

we weren't rushed by the staff even though you could see people in the queue almost glaring as we started to finish up our food!

if i ever make it back i will definitely be making a return visit here.

dropped by here with my cousin before my flight from lax back to australia and seriously everyone..my god and as last experience of america before the lax experience this was freaking awesome! 

we both just had the misifts burger and it was the most moist (feel free to take out of context) beef pattie i've ever had - apparently they mince their own meat there..that explains it. 

combine that with reasonable pricing, good service and a great selection of beer this place is a must..people this la they think in n out..sure try that then come here for something else :)
