i have a hate andlovefeeling about this place , second time there . the staff are very slow , you wait a very long time to get serviced and when you ask for your bill , that’s another long long wait

one of my faves in the area!. ilovethe metropolitan! great service, delicious and fresh food, good healthy eats and a fun place to be, great seating, lots of booths, pretty atmosphere! going tonight!!! taking my granddaughter and the hubby!!!

yum. what's not to like. wonderful, creative food selections for all appetites and a great happy hour. the rewards program not only gains you discounts but you get discount coupons in the mail. all of the staff is friendly and efficient.loveat first bite!!

love this place!!. my friends & my husband & i started coming here about 6 months ago because it's halfway between our homes, not to mention the fact that you have 1/2 price drinks from 5 -7 everyday, which is awesome. but it also turned out ti be a place we fell inlovewith. the food is great, the staff is always friendly & helpful and we can get away without spending an arm & a leg. i like it so much that i've decided to celebrate my 60th birthday there surrounded by family & friends! thanks so much!! this was definitely a great find.

wonderful dining experience. the atmosphere is warm and inviting and my friends and ilovecoming to the metropolitan. the food is superb and the wait staff is so friendly and helpful. my husband asked me where i wanted to go on my birthday and with out hesitation i said the metropolitan. do not miss this dining experience you'llloveit.

ilovethis place. it's amazing everytime we go. we even had out rehearsal dinner there two nights before our wedding and they gave us the private room in the back. they were very helpful and took good care of us. just days after the wedding we went back with a few out of state guests and they loves it also. eat here! you won't regret it.

we went to the metropolitan for a late dinner last night. our waiter, gary (hope that's how he spells it), was wonderful. i worry when dining late because staff is often grumpy, tired or overly busy and the customers suffer. this was not the case here. our food was fantastic so kudos to the chef(s)! wonderful overall experience. we will be back and will refer as many people as we can. it was great!

great atmosphere.loveto have either a quick lunch or dinner, staff pleasant, food great !!!

our favorite place!. welovethe metropolitan! when we are "empty nesters' for the summer, we are there 1 - 2 times a week. the food is always great - the service too! this is all due to the owners jill and john who really know how to run a restaurant. so happy to have found the metropolitan (or just metro as we call it) - hope they are there forever!

dr. yvonne kaye. okay - so i already wrote a critique. as i am at the metropolitan at least once a week, either eating in or taking out, i am allowed. in any event, this restaurant deserves another mention. my far better half is now housebound and can no longer go to restaurants, so he has never been here. however, he knows all about it and as his birthday is coming up you can be sure i'll be there taking out something spectacular. their soups are amazing,. last week we had asparagus and leek. i am drooling! a restaurant is only as good as its owners - jill and john really make one feel so welcome as do the rest of the staff. there are some first class restaurants in the area -
the metropolitan tops them all for a variety of reasons, variety being the operative word. we never get bored with the menu as the chef makes sure of that! we have our favourites but getting breakfast all day - what else is there in life? of course there are times one has to wait when they are busy so i can only assume that those who are negative either were in a hurry or had a bad day. this is not a fast food restaurant! so thank you again metropolitan where everybody knows my name - cheers! see you tuesday!

dr. yvonne kaye. absolutely my favourite restaurant and the staff............excellent and firstclass. the manager (?) jill - and if she isn't she should be - is so very professional. she really cares about her patrons, has a lovely personality and has always made my guests and me feel welcome. she is really dedicated to this restaurant. the menu is delicious and i do have favourites i have never had a less than excellent meal. being a 'breakfast person' the fact that i can have breakfast all day really endears the menu to me, the soups? phenomenal. i salivate at the prospect of minestrone being the soup of the day! i would like the spinach au gratin to reappear on the menu. yummy. i purchased a lot of gift cards this christmas - the easier gift buying i have had ever! what was lovely was that everyone who received a gift card said the same thing. 'ilovethat place'. same goes for me. i'll be back....often. it's like cheers where everybody knows your name!

a special place.lovethis place. the family is dedicated and focused on the most important thing.....the total experience.....food, service and ambiance. i respect how their team is continually looking for ways to improve in all areas. really solid and innovative food and drinks in a warm and friendly environment that is perfect for a romantic couples night out or the whole family!!

welovethis place!!!. we look forward to every visit to the metropolitan american diner & bar. the menu here is so impressive and goes from breakfast to dinners. every time we eat here the food is better than my previous visit. the boneless wings are a must have, nice & moist breast meat in a very good and not to spicy buffalo sauce. we have had some of the best hamburgers here also, moist and there are so many to choose from. i had the scallops for dinner on my last visit there. it comes with a cajun lobster newburg sauce for dipping, which is very tasty. i always ask for a side of butter as well, which they had no problem sending out to me. one special thing to know of here is their "metropolitan member card." on your first visit ask them for one of their cards. they always ask you any way....but make sure you fill this card out and turn it in. the card will give you a 10% reward value on your card for your next visit back. you can also choose to save the rewards for a visit in the future, but every time you eat there and give them your card you get your 10% reward. ilovethe metropolitan!

love the metro !!. the metro is my favorite place to eat ! iloveeverything about it! the ambiance, the food, the price! we especiallylovethe salmon cooked medium rare with double veggies! the burgers are great (i especilly like the turkey with goat cheese) and i iove the sweet potato fries for an indulgence!
all our friends are going there now too ! what are you waiting for ??

the bar is the best!. come on! 1/2 price everything, from 5-7 everyday. my friends and i come all the time. weloveit here. the atmospher is amazing...in fact it's just right! the service is the best and of course the drinks are out of this world! i go in for wine wednesdays.

every visit is better than the last. my wife and i stumbled upon this place last september (2011). sooooo glad we did. the staff is friendly and attentive. the menu offerings are as varied as you can imagine. the difficult part is deciding what to choose from. note: if youlovecrab - try the mac and cheese with crab. unimaginable pleasure! we've visited the metro 4 times since our initial trip and brought friends with us the last time. they'll be back too. keep up the good work!

this has become one of our local favorites and much needed in an area full of chains! the food is great and the menu creative & unique. great for a delicious breakfast, lunch & dinner. also a satisfying go to for a late night snack. they use local vendors which iloveand the staff is great.
