mediocre at best. i've been to the marc twice; the décor is very inviting and was warmly greeted upon entering. after this point the evening on both occasions took a turn for the worse. specifically service is to blame for both evenings, the waitress on each occasion was not accommodating for our large group and seemed annoyed by our very reasonable requests. the food wasn't anything to rave about but was priced reasonably. i expected more, as the owners' previous restaurant was il portico, one of my favorites.

had the mussels to start and they were great, and we ordered the fish special and the stuffed pork loin and they were awesome, and the dessert was wonderful. they are opening a patio next week should be a great spot

exquisite service, delicious food. the marc does it right ever time. sage mixes the best cocktails in edmonton, melissa provides immaculate service and the food is always delicious. the fish is perfectly prepared, the sides of vegetables tender and the atmosphere truly sophisticated.

je suis chez-moi.. it is so nice to go to the marc. each time you order the same dish it feels like the first time. it's always so good. no attitude, high quality, the owner is a doll you can trust your stomach to!!!!

great food and even better service!. our meal was amazing and was only made better by the top notch service we received from our hostess. she was friendly and inviting and made us feel valued and important. we will definitely be back!

just average. after reading all the reviews, decided to take my better half for dinner, interior is nice, service was pleasantly good but food was average. my girlfriend had flat iron steak and frites, really could have got that anywhere. would give the restaurant 7.5. and there's alot of 7.5 restaurants in edmonton just not to many 9s and on the search for my first 10.

this lovely lively bistro is still serving quality food at good prices. we had trout, salmon, duck confit and lamb and the flavors were bright and savoury. more importantly, respect for the dining experience was evident in the way we were gracefully treated as we waited for our reservation (even though we had arrived too early) and in the interaction with our waitress. well worth it!

improved. the second time and the food and the service has greatly improve. by trial and error the menu has improve and some of the selections have been removed. the pork tenderloin was great. the server was very attentive and made sure we were will looked after. will return to try other selection on the menu. job will done.

down home cooking. if you want to have home cooking, cook your own meal. the food was presentable however the variety was a meal that you could do yourself. the room is small and therefore eventually gets loud. try it you may like it. priced reasonably.

doesnt like. beef cheek is not as good as before, duck confit is too dry and salty , wasnt the same when they first open , should be the same chef cooking tho why such a big different .

interior designer inspired/ chef not.. over all a nice evening wih my wife. great service. gaps between apps and entree were a little long. the room is very nice, classy and romantic. the food seemed clunky, homey. the food didnt match the decor. no romance, no love. the portion size to cost was fare, although i felt i could have had a little more on the apps end. would like to give it another try maybe when they find some inspiration..

great flavors. what a treat. i liked the atmosphere here and found this to be a decent french restaurant here in edmonton. the mussel appetizer was the best i had ever had. the crusting that came with was delish too. with a couple of bottles of wine worked out to about $200 for four of us... server was funny which made things enjoyable as well...

the food was some of the best i've eaten in a long time - likely because i'm currently obsessed with simple classic french cooking, but also because the menu is concise and well thought out.

i selected the ahi tuna which was served with roasted veg and aforementioned tarragon sauce. out of this world delicious. the plate was presented with sliced grilled tomato, grilled zucchini, adorable little black olives, and sliced egg.

great service, great food. my husband and i popped into the marc one night with no resos, and thought we would take our chances. we had a great meal, we thought that the prices were reasonable, and while there were some mix-ups with our orders (the meat that i ordered was way overdone, and we didn't receive one dish, and got one that we didn't order), they were quickly addressed to our satisfaction. would go back again.

delightful trip. i have to say, the food there is quite wonderful. the braised beef cheek and the lavender honey carrots were pretty good in my standards. but i think some of the dishes are bit overpowered by the sauce, kind of covers up the true flavor of that certain dish. overall, i recommend this restaurant.
