the lobo plantation

the entrance had potted plants and the stairway to the underground was laced with vines. the room was very large, ceilings were low and the walls had paint peeling off. i'm not sure now but they had tableserviceduring the weekday and the waiters will sit down beside you to take orders. lively, friendly and intimate bar.

the cocktails were great, with a variety of different cocktails that will surely satisfy everyone. it mainly sells cocktails, so the wine and spirits menu weren't as comprehensive. i thoroughly enjoyed the drinks and service. would recommend to give it a try.

this is a very busy underground bar and restaurant in the city. they have a large range of drinks and in terms of food, i really liked their cuban sandwich and cured kingfish ceviche. the dining area is very dim so i don't have any good photos to upload. the place also gets quite noisy but theservicewas excellent.

opted for tableserviceand had the three cheese potato balls and the cuban sandwich. started drinks with the old gramper and classic paris. the food was a lot better than we expected for food ordered at the bar. the drinks were absolutely unreal though, with the rum being both flavorful and spicy and the overall sweetness perfectly balanced and complimentary to the spirits. theservicewas also top notch. we will definitely come back for the rum flights and i have a feeling this place might be a new hangout for mid week drinks since it's right on the bus line coming home.

i loved the dècor, the staff were super friendly and one of the waiters even gave us tableservicewhen we were on the wrong side of the room!

when i asked them to make something not on the menu he brought over this amazing splice flavoured cocktail on the house!
and the fire display is always amazing, the whole bar goes quiet as everyone gazes in awe!

tableservicewas a bit hit and miss but the surrounds and ambience more than make up for that. hipster bearded bar men dudes do the business in a quality manner. great place for a quiet catch-up, romantic or otherwise, and to relax and enjoy the joy of a good lounge bar.

the lobo plantation is so beautiful. just stunning, it is absolutely worth checking out. they had a separate area with tableserviceand a bowl of banana chips (which was refilled along the way)!

originally i was set on the cocktail with the duck, but with a change in menu i failed to come across it, and went with mr magoo instead. so delicious, highly recommend you try this! contains pineapple rum which was probably why it was so up my alley, but i really can’t see this failing anyone. tried some beer they had available also and it was nice (which means something as i usually hate beer). if you are after the duck cocktail, turns out they still have it (clearly i wasn’t looking hard enough), but it contains egg white so i probably wouldn’t have ordered it anyway.

i really wish the lighting was better here, photos just don't do it justice. staff are wonderful, friendly and know how to make a damn good cocktail. as soon as you walk down the stairwell and into the latin music, you instantly feel welcomed and ready to take a seat in the super comfy couches. i had the rum & rye and ship wreck cocktail, the perfect combination, well balanced and not overpowering, exactly what i want in a cocktail.

theserviceand ambience truly can't be overlooked at this great little night spot.

another great "themed" city bar. if you like rum ( which i do in my cocktails), then this place is an absolute must. working just around the corner, we organise a team drinking session here every few months and theservice, ambience and drinks haven't slipped at all. its a very chilled out place, which can be nice on a friday night after a long week ( sometimes going to busy bars on a friday is more stressful then the week itself! )

greatserviceand cocktails. had a delightful experience here last night! the bartenders were attentive, friendly and added to the experience. the décor of this bar is amazing! you feel like you are descending down a staircase from the entrance into a bygone cuban era.

the cocktails were also enjoyable. i like the traditional and simple style of most of the drinks with no disgusting sugary girly cocktails insight. the cocktails were fresh, sharp but very smooth. a favorite would have been the banana colada old fashioned. had a very good night thank you staff!
