i'll try again (and did). went on a friday night. oddly, the place was not busy. there was a largebuffetfor $25 but i don't like food setting for an unknown period of time. service was excellent; atmosphere wonderful; food good but unremarkable.

grabbed a burger, not to shabby for the money. my guest went for the fish taco--says hmmm, good. if the weather is right, sit on the back porch over looking the river.

this place is wonderful! if you are looking for down home southern food with a unique flare this is the place.  on sundays they have a fullbuffetor menu options.  my fiance and i go here regularly.  if you are lucky enough to be eating at little big cup on a pretty day, ask to sit outside...you won't regret it.  their cocktails and drinks are to die for.

i called before rounding up some friends to take the drive out to this place. they assured me thebuffetis replenished until 2pm. when we arrived at noon, a woman met us at the door. without greeting us, she asked if we had reservations. confused, i explained that we called prior to getting there and we weren't instructed to make a reservation (as i took notice of the nearly empty restaurant). we were then sat at a table outside with a cute view. our server asked if we would enjoy any drinks, we ordered mimosas. then she asked if we might enjoy hot sauce, jams, or preserves. we requested hot sauce. she then instructed us to go inside and attend the buffet. while walking through thebuffetline there was no crawfish pasta, no veggies or fixings for the salad, no gumbo, and no cinnamon rolls. our server assured us these items would be available shortly. after being more than half way through our meal and watching our server clean multiple tables, i went inside to retrieve the hot sauce, myself. when we were about done eating our food, she came out with our long awaited mimosas, one of which she spilled onto my friend's phone and chair. she went back in to grab towels and proceeded to address her other tables. after about ten minutes i went find her to ask if i was going to get my mimosa that was spilled. she replied yes, and ten more minutes later she arrived with it. upon my second round to the buffet, eager to sample the items we previously missed out on, i was severely disappointed to find not only were they not there, but they weren't going to be putting more out. this is the most terrible dining experience i've had in a long time and look forward to not returning. do yourself a favor and attend blue dog brunch in lafayette.

little big cup is a beautiful place located on the water with a great outdoor view. i love the concept and love the food even more! i had the brunchbuffeton sunday and they had a great selection of well seasoned foods from eggs to gumbo to pork roast and stew and crawfish pasta and that strawberry butter for the biscuits. everything was so good. big selection and the brunch drink selection was crazy good. live french music inside too. i just love this place. can't wait to go back. a bit far from me at 1hr, but worth the trip to impress friends. definitely on my fav list. fyi park at the grocery store across the street. they own that corner. i would love to try a dinner with them sometime.

ok first off i am a sucker for buffets. so just saying the wordbuffetgets started with 3 stars. i am speaking specifically about the sundaybuffetwhich i consider one of the best buffets in the area. ok ok parking is a little tough but i am there to eat.  there is everything you need to make sunday morning an eating festival. you can begin with biscuit with either flavored butter or decadent white gravy. next there is a salad section with the best caesar salad dressing since julius was alive. then there is bacon, sausage, and grits. just serve yourself plain grits because next is stew pork where you can pour the stew over your grits. don't forget the dirty rice with lots of andouille and tasso that would make your mother cry. if you haven't had a heart attack yet there is gumbo, boudin and crackling towards the end to do you in. the only drink i do for abuffetis mimosas. thebuffetis reasonably price, but drinks are priced on the high side for a buffet. be prepared to rest for 3 hours to recover after. tell cricket (she is as sweet as the bread pudding) that the thenakedcritic said hi.

from the outside this place doesn't look much more than a mom and pop establishment. however, the inside was very elegant and tasteful. we decided to dine outside for breakfast, the weather was finally warm enough. we had the breakfastbuffetfor two($15 per person) along with three mimosas($7 each) throughout our meal. overall the food was very flavorful. let me tell you about the creme brûlée, outstanding! very happy with our experience. i am going to have to make this place a ritual every time i come into arnaudville.

good food and good service but pricey.buffetcosts $25pp. i'll admit its a better than averagebuffetbut i don't think it's worth that. the dining room is also very noisy. my wife and i couldn't hold conversation over our dinner due to the nose level. doubt we'll be going back.

excellent. it is always a struggle to find decent étoufée...even in south louisiana. perhaps i'm biased because it is something that is so simple it should always be done right, but i'm happy to report the search is finished.

i do not eat buffets, but the smell when we walked in dictated trying thebuffetwas a must.

it did not disappoint. everything was excellent. smothered cabbage, catfish stew, fried shrimp, crawfish étoufée over drum, stuffed catfish...all of it was extraordinary. perfectly executed home cooking.

we will definitely be back.

also, it was our server's first night. she was attentive, sweet, did not touch the tea pitcher to my glass when pouring tea, and was one of the best waitresses we have ever had. to the owner of the restaurant. she is definitely a keeper.

this little gem was worth the hour drive.
