the cavendish restaurant - bonnington jumeirah lake towers

went for lunch with my colleague for lunch, they had abuffetlunch.
the staff were alert, presentable and very courteous.
the food was good, a wide variety and presented very nicely.
salads were very fresh, the main courses were a mixed variety and my fav was the dessert counter. it had a not too many and not too few desserts!
we didn't pay so i don't know the cost of the lunchbuffetbuy def worth a visit.

went for their iftarbuffet, i felt that most of their dishes are catered for arabic cuisine , although they say it's an international cuisine . the quality of the food was great and service was brilliant as well but i expected more given that it's a 5 star hotel . even the desserts was good but was lacking some stuff that you would expect to see . overall i've given it a 4 because as mentioned the service was world class and food was not bad.

last thursday we visited the cavendish restaurant in bonnington tower for iftar. the restaurant is spacious with a well laid outbuffetand live station area. loved theirbuffetselection and the utterly delicious desserts were the highlight of the iftar buffet. the service was outstanding and definitely would visit the restaurant again.

ramadan iftar, the food is nice, and well cooked. the desserts needed more variety... the thing is, for this price your expectations are really high, but i saw no difference between this iftarbuffetand the ones that cost 35% less, i wasn't disappointed but you still can't help it but to comapre. the food deserves 4 but the value for money and in many other nearby hotels the staff make you feel more welcomed and are more attentive, made the overall rating for the overall experience for me not more than 3.

read lots of reviews of how nice the food was at this restaurant so decide with another family to book and visit for iftar.

so glad i did as it was hands down one of the nicest iftarbuffeti have been to. lots of different dishes to chose from for a change that all tasted so delicious.

everyone in our party couldn’t stop commenting how lovely everything was. so thank you, definitely the best iftar i’ve been to this ramadan, and i’ve been to about 5!

cavendish is the all day dining option at bonnington hotel jlt where they servebuffetfor all the meals of the day. i rarely go for buffets in the morning as i don’t feel they are worth the money and sure enough, cavendish proved me right. at 125dhs a person, i was expecting a lot more then what i had. the type of food served at cavendish can easily be had at a 4 star hotel half it’s price. granted, some 4 stars hotels are actually 5 stars in disguise so they can very well and most likely will provide a betterbuffetthan they one i experienced at cavendish.

i have had dinner here twice. and i was not happy with the taste and quality and quantity of the food. theirbuffetwasn’t something that you crave to go again. but the staff are nice and warm and helpful.

i went today for iftar. this is the second time to go there. the place is nice and cozy. thebuffethad nice variety of food.
the salads weren’t that much but there was much variety in the hot dishes and they tasted very nice too.
the sweets section was also nice.
definitely recommend to go there

i was invited for the ifthar preview to cavendish @located at the bonnington hotel,jlt.i was quite impressed with the spread they served for the preview and that's gonna be the exact menu for the ifthar.the spread was very descent.they served varieties of middle eastern and european dishes in the buffet.they have a table for drinks with 4 kinds of middle eastern drinks.everything was delicious.they also have counters for soups,salads,grills and maincourses.their dessert spread is huge as well.i thoroughly enjoyed the food.my favorites were the lamb chops,ouzi and the chicken biriyani.everything tasted delicious.

i have tried iftharbuffetfrom many hotels in the city.
but the iftharbuffetat the cavendish impressed me big time.eventhough the spread is not sooo huge each dish they served stood out.if you are someone who loves to try out iftharbuffetlike me this place is definitely a must visit.i bet u won't regret.

lovely place , went there for a bday party n the arrangements were fantastic.dinner was abuffetspread , an interesting mix of indian n arabic n international.dishes ...noteworthy a delicious artichoke salad and shahi paneer was absolutely amazing..will visit again soon to try more of their menu

in my desire to have a decent eid brunch which doesn't have to offer a lavishbuffetselection, my friend and i decided to go for a cheaper offer and opted cavendish in bonnington up by jumeirah lake towers. however, for what i thought would have been a less filling afternoon, i ended up completely satisfied and in fact burping and bloating.

the selection of food at thebuffetare really good. they may have less varieties at thebuffetbut they are made perfect to my liking. salad options are fresh, meat options will keep you coming back for more-roast beef, lamb chops, shish taouk, lamb kebab. the ouzi is seriously scrumptious and i had to control myself from eating so much of it's savory rice. the only downfall is that there is not so much of vegetable or seafood dishes for mains. the dessert section was arranged creatively with mini cakes, arabic sweet, fruits & chocolate fountain. i love how the umm ali was made as it is not soggy like how others prepares it.

staff are all friendly and even the manager is hands on assisting the guests. the restaurant is located at the lower ground level of the hotel and there's an outside seating too. a big kids room was designed at one corner of the restaurant to cater to young guests. for aed 129, this is really a very good deal.

the atmosphere indoors is hush and all fine dining like. glass windows from ceiling to floor and elegant table pieces, while the outdoors was a more fun vibe. speakers playing good music and chit chat, we knew this is where we’d be settling in that night.

thebuffetfeatured some cold cuts and salads, out of which some were good enough for a second helping. also displayed was a live shawarma and barbecue counter. we ordered a shawarma and beef burger, of which the latter had too much tahini sauce for my liking. the burger buns were found quite dry too. thankfully, we had a couple of mojitos to wash these down.

they serve sharing platters on the table with pork or non pork options as well. a vegetarian platter can also be prepared upon request. we decided to order from their normal menu too, of which the trio pumpkin tortellini and crispy confit duck leg looked promising. recommended by our lovely server jesse, who really took care of us by the way, was the jumbo prawn and hanger steak.

after a short wait, we were presented with a neatly arranged pumpkin tortellini. sadly, the pumpkin purée was a little too bland for me. although the feta sauce provided a nice taste to go with the tortellini.

have been to the cavendish many times. it is a very nice and quiet place for a business meeting. the staff is very pleasant and take care of you.
the meal is abuffetwith a very good mix of salad items. for mains it is a mix of arabic, indian with a pasta dish. and a very sizable dessert bar.
overall a decent meal and good place to have a conversation.

hello everyone, we hope you have a wonderful start into the week again! did you experience anything new lately? we had such an amazing time and one of the best nights in a long time, at the bonnington hotel recently.

where exactly, you ask – the cavendish restaurant, on the stunning outdoor terrace, to be specific. since the addition of the terrace the place has become the al fresco dining destination, on this side of the town.

surrounded by an elegant wooden fence, olive trees and a beautiful water feature in the centre makes you feel like you are being invited to an exquisite home dinner party. the bar at the entrance of the restaurant and the second bar outside on the terrace invite guests to socialize and to enjoy unique cocktails and mocktails after one sipped a couple of wonderful welcome drinks prepared by venkadesh, the bar manager and his team.

last thursday’s event was called: social dining thursday. the social dining concept starts at 7:30 pm and lasts until 11:00 pm. the concept is straight forward, yet unique: enjoy an exquisite time with friends and connect with others while enjoying sharing style platters, a wonderful bbq and freshly grilled meat cuts, a huge saladbuffetand delicious desserts served to the table, for only 299 aed per person. what a deal!

good food, good friends, good times, is the thursday nights’ concept slogan, and it is not hard to tell why, once you have been part of it. the venue itself, the delicious european bbq and the attentive service, replace the outdated idea of friday brunches around town and make ‘social dining thursday‘ the new, to – be followed trend in dubai.

launched for the first time last thursday, the terrace as well as the restaurant were chocker blocker full. ladies and gentlemen dress up for a night in style and we had the chance to take some pictures for you while enjoying pork and none – pork cold cuts to share, lard and freshly baked bread.

time passes so quickly when you are enjoying yourself. we nearly forgot to check out the saladbuffetand the wonderful bbq station while socializing with other diners, however the attentive service staff reminded us about the food, and we were thankful for every single bite.

the chefs and the service staff took great care of us, served drinks none stop and even suggested us their favourites from the buffet. we had shawarma, chicken breast, burgers, oven potatoes with cream and roasted vegetable, greek salads, corn on the cob and even shared a dessert in the end. yes, we enjoyed ourselves, and yes, we ate a lot. when the food is that delicious, the service is so friendly, and the weather finally invites you to relax outdoors again however, it is really hard to stop munching and drunching while chatting with friends.

good food, good friends and a great time, is how we would sum up our experience at the cavendish social dining thursday last week. missed t? keep calm and call them up for this week, as it had only launched last thursday and the event will take place on a weekly bases from now on. friday brunches were yesterday, social dining thursday is where you’ve got to be these days!
