been meaning to go for ages and it was so worth the wait. cool interior, buzzing atmosphere.goodchoice of food and tasted so good, cocktails are very nice and really deliver the show from smoke to bubbles to foam, you name it. we were served by daniel and he was super helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. great night and will definitely be coming back. cocktails are something you should try at least once. very unique.

dim lighting throughout coupled with lots of old apothecary props gives this a really smart and intriguing atmosphere. busy poular place gives it agoodbustling but relaxed atmosphere. bottle of wine served up in a chiller of dry ice was a fun unexpected touch. as was the rolled up bill in a wee medicine bottle and drinks served in smoking copper kettles. food wasgoodtoo as was the service. top evening andgoodfind after trawling round various eateries.

had been here with friends for dinner.goodmusicgooddrinks and tasty nibble food. the main course has agoodvariety and staff is very kind. reservations are recommended before the visit.

the rating is all for the ambience and taste of food and the drinks (off course!) they are fancy. but i had far too high expectations from the place. (somehow not that satisfied)

i particularly did not find the staff to be helpful in suggestions, as for someone who visits the place for first time.

the ambience is toogood! would love to go again & explore more. give it one more chance!

this weekend, i met up a few friends for brunch and we decided to try the alchemist on new york street. i love agoodcocktail and rumour has it, that this is the place to go to for a cocktail that’s out of this world. i wasn’t going to miss out on that was i? yes it was 12.3o pm on a saturday but so what? it’s never too early for a cocktail! i like the relaxed ambience at the alchemist. it’s not too pretentious and it’s not your average burger joint either – its just about right for a laid back brunch at the weekend or for drinks and some grub after a long day at work. it’s sophisticated yet relaxed without trying very hard to be either and i love that about this living ventures property. we were immediately served by the friendly maître d’ upon arrival and was promptly seated in one of the very comfy leather couches in the restaurant. i love the subtle hints of the restaurant’s theme, the conical flask salt and pepper shakers, the specimen boxes on the tables for condiments, the vats

entertaining evening. went out on a saturday evening with friends. we had to wait a bit to enter. there's no entrance fee. the cocktails here are prettygoodand priced fairly for the area it's located in. the music is prettygoodand the servicesgoodtoo. they do serve food but that wasn't on our agenda that evening.the crowd seemed to be mainly in their 30's and above and well dressed ready for a party in town. overall agoodplace to start off eating and drinking or if only for a drink agoodplace to spend an our or two. there is place to sit outside too. all in all agoodaddition to the manchester party scene.
