the admiral hotel

chicken parmigiana. this tuesday night special was agreatmeal served with chips and salad, we where both very impressed for our first visit to this venue.
even better was it was $15 tuesday special night
we would definitely go again..!

admiral. i have been there twice. the first time i tried a special on the lunch menu. was briliant.. but i found $30 for a special very expensive.. the second time i went for your celeb sat night.. was a bit surprise at the radio tunes being played the exact same music i hear at work day in and day out. and all the lights being on. it didnt feel like a sat night at all. and the place emptied early and was dead so i went home pretty much straight after. i think the place is great, but its just missing a little something...it need a little atmosphere, mood lighting, some heaters in winter, and close the doors.. its cold! and decide the type of place your going to be? if it a club, throw on some of the latest tracks and turn the lights of, if its a pub, make it a homely atmosphere, put the fires on and a band, if its a resturant. then stick to that. and if its a sport bar. then put your posters up, turn on sky open a tab and do it properly. i do like the adi. but i think it a bit wishy washy, you walk in and have no idea what type of place your in..the food tastesgreatbut.

unfortunately this place is very hit and miss. when it first opened the restaurant and bar food weregreat- especially the bar food which featured a tapas menu. i've visited a few times since it opened and has never tasted like what it did when it first opened. the bar menu now only features burgers and pizza which isn't tapas as advertised on their exterior walls. disappointing as the place hasgreatpotential.

went to the admiral for dinner tonight on the spur of the moment without booking. we were seated immediately. ( please bear in mind on of us is a wheelchair user) this was no problem as it has been in many other restaurants. orders were taken promptly by very professional staff. arriving in a suitably timely manner generous sized starters of garlic prawns in a beautifully silky garlic sauce. although i would of liked more garlic it was perfect as far as my wife was concerned. followed by mains again nice sized portions. overall a lovely night withgreatfood will definitely return. the only negative i would say is the fast time between courses but that really is of little consequence. as an ex chef i am extremely fussy however i would recommend the admiral for dinner easily on par with any restaurant we have eaten at in recent times.

i've had two dinners here and one lunch here. twice it has taken a long time until our drinks were brought to the table. at the visit, our entree actually came first and drinks bit later on. this was when we had ordered drinks and food at the same time. the food that we have tried has beengreatapart from my gnocchi lunch,which was disappointing as the gnocchi tasted too floured and chewy. i will still recommend to try this place as i will go back another day.

great food, will be back.. visited the admiral last night for dinner.greatlocal pub in kwinana. have to say the food was delicious. service was great. we had the thai beef salad, surf and turf, oysters and ribs. all of the dishes were outstanding. i had the thai beef salad which was full of flavour and visually very impressive. will definitely visit again.

best steak for the price!. just had a steak, chips, and salad (cooked rare, as i like it) and for the price it is the best steak i have had, that includes a few well known steakhouses.
they could easily add $10 to the price and it would still begreatvalue for money!
i would recommend this place to anyone passing through kwinana looking for a good feed and a drink with good people.

standards fallen. we have dined at the admiral several times now and each time, the standards are slipping lower.
first time we went for lunch, i wasn't even allowed to wear my stylish straw hat inside...last night i overheard someone say they had been told 'there is no dress code'. and sure enough, there were males in singlets ,shorts and thongs at dinner! this is what happens as the standards lower, the type of customer becomes less desirable.
if i want that sort of experience i can go to the medina hotel!
the food is stillgreatbut the service is almost non existent now. we waited several minutes before someone came to take us to our seats, no one took our drinks order ( had to go to the bar to order)..finally after about 20 minutes our order for meals was taken.
please, we need to have some good dining in kwinana city

too many chances. we keep coming back after hearinggreatchanges have been made. three of us ate there today. really slow service, food came before drinks, had to ask twice.. this went on all of our stay. the big downer was the food. we all ordered different things, all have different tastes, but all agreed that the food had no seasoning at all (i mean zero). was really very very bland. the sauce in one meal was advertised as having garlic, had none we could taste, the moussaka was completely flavorless - would have sent it back if i wasn't starving. the fish tasted of nothing, even the chips came out with no salt on it! the salt at the table was unusable and had so much moisture one at our table had to dig it out from the fill hole, just wasn't worth saying anything in the end because the service wasn't even there anyway. one too many chances. im over it. this place will never get its act together.

second year we have had our xmas function there, wasgreatservice and fantastic food once again.

fathers day great. visited the admiral again yesterday for fathers day breakfast and what a beautiful meal we had again. the whole venue was booked out, the staff were running off their feet but the service didn't falter for a moment. the hostess was smiling and friendly, coffees were served pronto. we had to wait slightly longer than usual for our food but of course, one of the busiest days of the year. the food was worth the wait. egg benedict was amazing. the owners and management of the admiral should be praised for all the effort they are putting in to making this hotel agreatplace to be.

super impressed. my friends and i have been waiting in anticipation for the opening of the admiral hotel. we have watched the progress of construction and couldn't wait to try the restaurant in this brand new tavern. so impressed! the decor of this venue is slick and inviting without being ott. the menu was great. typical pub style food at fair and reasonable prices and delicious. i ordered the chicken parmiagiana which was tasty and not greasy like so many other pubs/hotel dish up. oh and the garlic bread was the best. give it a go.

awesome - recommend. this place is awesome. tried the admiral hotel on friday night for dinner and we had the best night out. we were served by a gentleman who was clearly the manager and he was polite, knowledgable about the wine list and he aimed to please. i had the chicken schnitzel which was much like a chicken parmiagana but much better. my friend has the chilli mussels and really enjoyed them. the place was buzzing with people. the staff were clearly very busy but managed to keep on top of things. after dinner we went next door and they had somegreatmusic playing live. a cool guy who djd and played guitar. definitely recommend to anyone looking for a night out in kwinana.

delicious breakfast andgreatfacilities. i recently had the pleasure of visiting this venue in kwinana and was firstly surprised at the quality of this venue. i was greeted by friendly staff and my family were welcomed into the venue and we ordered our breakfast. the young man that took our order was very well mannered and he ensured we were quickly served our coffee's and then our breakfast. the venue was warm and cosy and the food was perfect. we often have breakfast and normally we would do this in our neighborhood but on this occasion we ventured out and definitely are surprised at what is on offer at this new venue. the service was brilliant, the venue was immaculate and very comfortable and the food was second to none.

my wife was pleasantly impressed and surprised that i had given the family a new venue to frequent for breakfast and if it wasn't for that eye catching chalk board that drew us in to the venue and grabbed my attention, it seems like the admiral hotel is kwinana's best kept secret - we will definitely be coming back to this venue, we have booked in for breakfast for the next three weeks as it's something that our family loves to enjoy each weekend and the admiral hotel is a new family favorite.

rockingham has nothing in comparison to this and we will be telling our friends and hopefully the admiral hotel opens a chain of venues and puts one in rockingham otherwise we will just have to keep coming to kwinana which isn't too far for agreatstart to our day.

my husband and i went to the admiral hotel on saturday for breakfast...great breakfast and really attentive staff. we were seated quickly by a friendly staff member, had our order served a short time later and thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. the coffee was good and hot! the hotel has only just started serving breakfast on the weekends and we will definitely return.
