the admiral hotel

excellent!. we took our young son for dinner last week and the food was great. wait staff were very attentive and pleasant. we had the tasting plate, the tandoori chicken and the chicken camembert (to die for!) and a child's fish and chips. meals were of a very decent proportion and flavours were exactly what we hoped for. the chef even had the wait staff ask if we'd like our child's meal before the other meals came which was great - no grumpy child. a small thing then really impressed us - his child's meal came out and it wasn't boiling hot. it came out "kid friendly" temp so our boy didn't even have to wait to eat. it's the little things like that which will have us coming back again and again. well done staff at the admiral. i'm so glad kwinana has such a decent place to go now. i can honestly say that's the best meal we've had out in a very long time.

awesome food and awesome staff. i am an employee of the admiral and let me tell you it is the place to be in kwinana at the moment, food is yum, the staff are all friendly and well kept, service is fantastic and our new chef has taken the place from an all time low to a brand new high! so why not get down here and see what we can do for you? :) you will not be disappointed!
we also have the grand final party coming up and i would love to invite you all to come down, see what we are all about and have a great night with some locals, grand final style!

very average place to eat, $11 pints in kwinana is ridiculous. i had the pork belly which was extremely tough, when i complained to the manager, it felt like she didn't care at all. i would not recommend this place to anybody!!!

sports bar has no atmosphere what so ever. was asked to take my hat off too. needs some sporting memorabilia on the walls, more tv's, have the sound on for the footy instead of dance music and the biggest one for me is they need self serve tab machines, come on admiral lift your game and make it a real sports bar , at the moment it is so dull!!!!

my partner and i enjoyed a beautiful meal at the admiral. we usually travel to fremantle for dinner to our fav restaurant, after one too many disappointing meals, we chose our local. what a great choice! meals were superb. we started with chilli mussels, fat little morsels of pure indulgence, could have ordered another serve. for her main my wife had pork belly and i chose slow cooked beef cheeks. both meals were piping hot and absolutely beautiful. pork was super moist with a yummy crackle and beef was so tender, it just melted in my mouth. greens were blanched perfectly, a good sign of attention to detail. no put em' pot an cook em' forever here! staff were very friendly, drinks arrived quickly! staff didn't check on us once we received our meals, to make sure everything was good, and no cracked pepper offered either (slow cooked beef loves a fresh crack of pepper, my opinion). we sat in front of kitchen and could see chef and his team working. they looked very professional. we saw all meals come out of the kitchen and to be honest, i could have ordered any of the meals i saw. really looking forward to going back again! keep up the good work.

service was poor, spilled drinks, asked for the bill and staff said yes ok. after twenty minutes and no check, went to find it ourselves. if you want us to pay at the counter, why did you say you would bring the check? meals are not what is listed on the menu. barramundi is actually snapper, the sizzling prawns didn't sizzle and no icecream was offered to our child. won't hurry back

love the admiral. this new restaurant is beautifully decorated and very spacious. the menu is terrific. prices are very reasonable. the wait staff are mostly inexperienced, but i cut them some slack because they are young and what they lack in experience they more than make up for in politeness and friendliness. it's terrific to have somewhere local that you feel confident to bring visitors to. it's a lovely spot to spend a relaxed saturday afternoon. my suggestion, go and enjoy!

lunch. i have lived in kwinana for 9 years and can only say that the admiral was a very nice place to go to for lunch. for $61 it was a bargain. my husband had beer batter fish with chips and salad and a beer. i had chicken parma with chips and salad and a beautiful glass of wine. we finished off with proferoles and they looked classy on the plates and taste was terrific. i can only say good for kwinana at last we have an up market place to dine. the service was good the food was hot, and i mean pipping hot. we personally loved it and will go back again.

the starters were quick and very delicious we had the fishermans plate which had lovely soft shell crab and squid , the admiral plate was lovely and gave all 9 of us a taste of what the admiral had to offer. the mains were a different story, though lovely the timing and service was a little poor , the three pasta dishes came out first , then the pork belly and finally the two parmies , garlic prawns and and salad and then the snapper this was after we had been told that they had run out chips , this would not have been a problem but we were informed as we were serving our meals resulting in more time waiting for them .

overall quiet good meals , but maybe more communication between kitchen and floor staff is needed .

quiet. the admiral needs to get some culture and atmosphere about it.. they need some live music or a karaoke in the sports bar sometime on the weekend. the place is dead, i enjoy going for a beer with friends, but @ 10 bucks a pop for a pint it isnt worth it when your the only people in there. i get what they are trying to do, but considering they dont even have a tab at the sports bar i cant see how this place will survive unless they start to create some kind of atmosphere. need happy hours etc..

potential .... but i agree with others the management is poor. also turn your lights down in the sports bar and some live music.

much better. we had a great family dinner here tonight. huge improvement in the kitchen, the meals were sensational. have been here before and wasn't terribly impressed but am very glad we gave it another chance - well done

food looked good but lacked flavor a real disappointment chefs need to be a bit braver and taste dishes

lovely set out , staff great, quick service but the chef needs to learn how to cook a steak went once ordered med it was so dry and tasteless so tried again asked med-rare again dry dry dry and tasteless

don't go there!. really bad wouldn't go again. food and service really bad. someone with no experience could probably do better.i had the scotch which was cooked right ( medium rare) but for some reason was still terrible chewy and just a really bad cut of meat budget cut. was not impressed by any one else's meals.
