what a gem!. its amazing to read some of the negative reviews on this site when i have been to the admiral hotel on a number of occasions in the past month and it has been nothing short of fantastic. consistent, high quality food, attentive service and what a lovely setting. we heard that they had opened for breakfast on the weekend so my husband and i decided to take the kids out and give it a try. the owners of the hotel were serving the customers and even gave us a couple of free coffees! unexpected but very appreciated. we feel so lucky to have a 'local' venue of such high quality and will continue to support them in the coming years.

delicious breakfast and great facilities. i recently had the pleasure of visiting this venue in kwinana and was firstly surprised at the quality of this venue. i was greeted by friendly staff and my family were welcomed into the venue and we ordered our breakfast. the young man that took our order was very well mannered and he ensured we were quickly served our coffee's and then our breakfast. the venue was warm and cosy and the food was perfect. we often have breakfast and normally we would do this in our neighborhood but on this occasion we ventured out and definitely are surprised at what is on offer at this new venue. the service was brilliant, the venue was immaculate and very comfortable and the food was second to none.

my wife was pleasantly impressed and surprised that i had given the family a new venue to frequent for breakfast and if it wasn't for that eye catching chalk board that drew us in to the venue and grabbed my attention, it seems like the admiral hotel is kwinana's best kept secret - we will definitely be coming back to this venue, we have booked in for breakfast for the next three weeks as it's something that our family loves to enjoy each weekend and the admiral hotel is a new family favorite.

rockingham has nothing in comparison to this and we will be telling our friends and hopefully the admiral hotel opens a chain of venues and puts one in rockingham otherwise we will just have to keep coming to kwinana which isn't too far for a great start to our day.

my husband and i went to the admiral hotel on saturday for breakfast...great breakfast and really attentive staff. we were seated quickly by a friendly staff member, had our order served a short time later and thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. the coffee was good and hot! the hotel has only just started serving breakfast on the weekends and we will definitely return.

disgusting. friends and i have been going to the admiral for lunch on a sunday since it opened... what the hell has happened to that place... it is now a disgusting place to go eat... the staff used to be nice and friendly.. now the manager is a rude pig of a man.. and what's with the menu's being on clip board's and the back ground music is too loud, it drowns out your conversations.. oh and the menu has changed (and not for the better) and don't bother to order the fish and chips they are served on bread boards (hello what happened to your plates) ... i used to recommend this place to my friends but not any more ... stay away from there.. they have gone down hill fast.. and not worth wasting your time or hard earn money on food and services that are well below average..

james. went to admiral hotel this weekend for dinner with my misses, we have been living in kwinana for quite a while were looking forward to a decent place to be opened and it finally did absolutely loved the food that we had specially the ribs, they almost melted in my mouth and were very flavoursome and my misses had risotto which was out of this world would recommend this place highly.

went to the hotel gain for a beer and some food, i got a beer in a dirty yellow glass, not even cleaned, then i ordered a meal, ordered the steal which came to my table raw, then complained to staff, the manager came out and started yelling at me, saying we are not a steakhouse, no please leave the building... not impressed.

my family and i went to the new establishment for dinner, walked into the restaurant and it all looked very nice, went to sit down an found that there were no plates or knives and forks on the table, went and asked the staff and they said they are all in the middle of the room on the table. i thought i was eating at macdonalds, the staff are also very untidy, not ironed shirts, chatting to each other, and also eating on the job, don't go there, management are very bad, they need a kick up the backside.

pathetic. went to the admiral with my wife and young son with anticipation. we had been waiting for a nice place to open in the kwinana area for a long time. this place however is not it. the service was terrible especially for a very quiet night (there was only one other table in the restaurant - should have taken it as a sign), and the food. i think urbanspoon's word limit would restrict me from describing how utterly disappointing it was. i had the chewy, deviod of flavour ribs. my wife had the parmigiana which was burnt on one side and then the chef (an incorrect use of the word) had scrapped off the burnt crumb coating and left it un- crumbed. my sons meal was the standard kids fair. will not be going anywhere in the vicinity of this horrid place

blah. went here for the first time after reading people's experiences on facebook. my husband and i thought the service and ambience was awesome. the food, however, is another story. my veal schnitzel, mash and italian coleslaw was covered in a black "sauce" that had both a soya sauce saltiness and a bigger balsamic vinegar taste. it was so overpowering. my husband had the grilled salmon that was raw in the middle. we won't be back - so wasn't what i expected - food wise that is. oh the other thing i didn't like was being yelled at from the back of the restaurant. i don't think it was professional at all.

bad experience. i and my husband went there last thursday for dinner, waitress were nice, but the steak was badly burnt and inside was raw and full of blood, as i ordered medium because i am pregnant, also instead of what it says on the menu-beetroot relish, it was a pile of burnt onion, we made a complaint about the steak, but the manager was really aggresive and arrogant towards us, very upsetting!

went to admiral hotel last sat evening party of. 14. steaks were bad not up to value were told they are runing the wine list down before re evaluating it could nt get by the glass when wanted sparkling could only provide piccolos thanks a lot 800 dollars later will not be back

i forgot to add to my previous review, that there was also a radio station playing as background music!!! total turn off & so embarrassing! lol!

went for dinner 25/4/13. very disappointing. 2 waitresses for a full house. drinks came after meals as there was no one at the bar - which we could see. the prawn salad i could of just made at home. lettuce, soggy tomatoes, avo & thousand island sauce. no finesse watsoever, just a slap up meal. we never got a spoon wen i asked for one & wen th waitress brought the drinks, she also brought my glass of wine with not even a quarter of the glass filled to say they had run out of that wine! naturally i asked for another brand! the management clearly nowhere insight to help with the busy night & a third waitress appeared after we were leaving! not going back - menu & professionalism needs a revamp!

if u have a wide backside, the admiral is the place to go.. love the chairs, big n comfortable!! fish n chips was all good too... milky way cake looks great but i'm too full.. next time ;)

very disapointing experience! went there for dinner this evening, had a table of 16 and they would not allow us to join the tables together so we could sit as a family because "there wasn't enough room" when there was. the service was slow and poor, waited almost 40 minutes to be finally be asked if we would like to order drinks. staff gave the wrong meals to the wrong people, then when we complained that our steak was undercooked the manager on duty was extremely rude about the matter. the staff do not seem friendly or approachable. the staff were being rude to eachother and speaking down to eachother in front of customers which was very unprofessional. i would prefer to go to the servo across the road and get a pie then go back there - i will not be recommending the admiral! the kwinana hotel had lovely food and staff, why not bring it back?

beautiful lunch! gem in the suburbs. we decided to have lunch here today but we were not sure what we might find. we were greeted by a lovely hostess who showed us to our table and promptly took our drinks order and gave us our menus. we decided to order entree of garlic bread before we made up our minds on the mains. within 5 minutes the gb was served on a beautiful wooden board with olive oil dipping dressing. we placed out mains order of 2 x steak sandwichs. by the time we had finished our drinks the mains had arrived and they were massive! very good value we thought, and we were very happy with the taste too! very impressed with the location, style, service and food from the admiral. we will be back!

had dinner here and the service was crap. also there was no one at the restaurant and they wouldnt let these people in coz of there thongs yet there was a guy who had trackies on...also there was vomit on the outside of the restaurant and beer bottles. my steak i ordered came with a tomato and few brocali and the steak was overpriced for meat that was full of fat... didnt enjoy it and wont be coming back
