the address

the address was previously called talk of the town back then when i was growing up. an oldtimefavourite has always been the aloo paratha and the pizza pane and kebabs. not a place i'd eat steak as it is usually prepared for a 'south african muslim palate' and i say this because once you receive your steak it's cooked beyond well done. the chicken is decent if ordered well done, else you will find it very pinkish and almost raw, sometimes cold if it wasn't defrosted correctly. you are safer with aloo paratha or pizza pane with kebabs. be sure to check your bill, as there is a reputation for over charging.

what an awful experience. the food is not worth the price which is to pricey. from food to drinks it was a disaster. over fried and dried chips, a burger bun which was over buttered. the drinks was a warm water, no ice no lemon. we got happy to see the coke was the ones in a glass bottle only to be disappointed because it tasted flat. while sitting at the restaurant we saw the difference in reception and service to customers, we had very bad service. we would have gotten amazing food at canvas grill or casablanca. first and lasttimeto ever go to this restaurant.

had a meal here during a week day and also during the off peak period and although the food was yum the experience itself was terrible. the seating is madness and cramped and in no way accommodates for kids or a pram so if you have either i wouldn't suggest it. to add on to it, the restaurant is situated alongside a really busy road so you on your nerves the entiretimeif your child so much as moves from your side. apart from that it was ridiculously hot in the restaurant and the owners in no way felt the need to cool it down. the service was really quite slow and the kitchen seemed more interested in getting take away meals out rather than focusing on present customers. also the owners were extremely cold to the extent that you felt like you were invading their space. the food though was good and beautifully seasoned and portioned. i had the twelve prawns and they were enjoyable as well as a good size. i would probably advise people to have a take away meal rather than a sit down at this particular joint.

even though the food is good, i try to avoid this place because every singletimethey either get my order wrong or they add to my order. today, i ordered a pizza panne and 6 kebab and a coimbra chicken but i got a pizza panne and 12 kebabs, coimbra chicken, aloo cheese paratha, 3 x plain naan (but was charged for 3 x garlic naan). this will be the lasttimei eat from this restaurant. such a put off and so frustrating!! always check your slips before you leave this place!!

too much hype around this place, but really what a waste. a bit pricey for what you get. you would have a much bettertimewith the likes of canvas grill. my wife and i both ordered the araba pasta on our last visit. it was too sour, and had just 3 chunks of chicken. presentation of meals and drinks also very poor. i would not go there again

was really looking foward to dining here after hearing about the address from friends. we booked a table for 20 on new years eve.... it was a full house so we waited a while for our food but considering how packed they were it's understandable.
i didn't catch his name but the man who was in front (owner or manager) really took control of the establishment and ensured personally that each table was served and seen to. he showed so much courtesy toward my big, loud family and i genuinely appreciated the standard of service he showed us regardless of how busy they were.

we ordered 2 platters with saucy chicken, prawns, steak, chips, kebabs and creamy chicken boti. also pepper steaks with mushroom on the side. all really really nice and prepared well. my favourite dish was the pizza pane and kebabs, will definitely order more of that next time.
would love to pop in again at a quietertimeand try more off the menu.

the food was mediocre and nothing to rave about. very small portions which consisted of 3 small pieces of chicken classified as half a chicken despite being told by the owner that the servings are significant. very little food and overly priced. a total "rip off".
not a place i would recommend to anyone. will be the onlytimeand the last i'd ever dine at the address. 😠👎
