the address was previously called talk of the town back then when i was growing up. an old time favourite has always been the alooparathaand the pizza pane and kebabs. not a place i'd eat steak as it is usually prepared for a 'south african muslim palate' and i say this because once you receive your steak it's cooked beyond well done. the chicken is decent if ordered well done, else you will find it very pinkish and almost raw, sometimes cold if it wasn't defrosted correctly. you are safer with alooparathaor pizza pane with kebabs. be sure to check your bill, as there is a reputation for over charging.

it has always been a tradition in my family that when coming to durban we always have alooparathaat the address (previously talk of the town). this year was no exception, the alooparathawas very tasty. it did not disappoint. my wife ordered a masala tea, which tasted very watery, powdery, and weak. ambiance was very average. if you're going to visit this restaurant i would only recommend the aloo paratha.

an amazing family lunch with takeaways for supper too! the owner came over chatted to us then suggested a meal combo to suit all our tastes. what we ended up with was a superb melody of prawns, kebabs, steak and chicken with chips rice and naan. the alooparathawith cheese is a must for a starter. get the pomegranate lemonade pitcher while you at it, you will want more than one glass of this refreshing drink. the bill was surprisingly reasonable for the four of us :)

previously known as talk of the town in central durban. options recommended by the owner. superb taste and great service. we visited with a party of 10 kids included. started with the alooparathawith cheese which was like a potato pizza. then had a platter of prawns and the family platter which had steak,kebabs,2 full chickens, boti chick3rn pieces and chips. more than sufficient and we had leftovers. finished the meal with masala tea and cuppacinos. vibe was busy . its a small place so i suggest you arrive early or make a booking. we waited less than 20 mins for the starters and the food arrived shortly after. tastes were spicy but not hot. tasteful. will definitely be back . prices are reasonable. not cheap.
