please don't let this place fool you!!! i was sceptical because i didn't think a restaurant inside of a grocery store could be good but this is hands down the best thaifoodin winston salem!!! my boyfriend eats anything but i am a strict vegetarian. we can both eat here and have plenty of options and both leave very full and happy!! this place is a must for any thaifoodlover! try it!

believe the hype. sure, it's odd that you're eating really awesome-quality thaifoodinside a harris teeter.
but it is worth every penny. thefoodis amazing, and cheaper than just about any other thai cuisine you can get in the city. the plus side is after you eat, you can shop around the store without doing so on an empty stomach.
the beef red curry was very flavorful with an ample amount of peppers and meat. this is a place i will be frequenting.

delicious.. it is probably best to just get the take out, but thefoodis seriously so delicious. the curry is full of the most amazing flavor and even the pad thai is probably the best i've had anywhere in town.

loved thefood@ robinhood village!!!!. tried it for the first time this week and went back the next day for take out! this is at their newest location (intersection of robinhood & meadowlark)....i have never eaten at the other 2 locations, always heard good things about them....but i am glad they have opened this one closer to me! we ate there on a friday night..... my husband got a beef stir fry and i got a chicken noodle dish. both very fresh ingredients and good flavor. i like mine hotter, so they brought out some condiments so i could heat it up to my liking. the next night i was in the area again and picked up some green curry with chicken...delicious. it's a beautiful restaurant ....unfortunately the last several restaurants in this space have not lasted.....i sure hope this one does!

awful!. overpriced, overcooked and under-spiced. i swear thefoodwas recycled from a day old and bad chinese carry out order. basil rolls had tough wrappers,(these were supposed to be the fresh type, not fried) overcooked shrimp, regular old spaghetti(in lieu of glass noodles) and was mostly shredded iceberg lettuce. fried spring rolls tasted like bad chinese egg rolls wrapped in cardboard. that was just what i even tried to eat as the basil and tofu vegetable dish was reeking of ammonia and stale grease. stay away, not any semblance to what thaifoodshould be.

our favorite for over a decade. we lived in ardmore 2001-2006 and became addicted to their food, so we were thrilled to find it still going strong when we returned in 2012. my favorite is the tom yum soup (spicy) and a close 2nd is the yellow curry; my husband loves the red curry and the spring rolls. the other dishes i've tried are also very good. our friends love the green papaya salad (som tum?) which is next on my list to try. we have even discussed having a sawatdee take-out dinner party so we can try everyone else's favorites! by the way, those who criticize the ambience of the cloverdale location for being inside ht should check out the healy location - samefoodin a nice restaurant.

what happened?. this place has great food! i've eaten here for years - usually at harris teeter for take out. however, last week, visited the healy drive location and ordered take out.

upon getting home and opening the styrofoam box, i was kind of shocked. the large section of the box was only filled halfway with my pad thai.
same price, same item but half the portion size usually received.
not sure what happened? but there was hardly anyfoodthere for $10. scared to go back.

not the real deal. hmmm, not sure what you guys are comparing thefoodto...other thai places in winston or places that actually serve authentic thai food.
i'm from sydney and love my thai food. been dissappointe in wonston thus far
the pad thai is not even average...you all have to taste the real thing elsewhere to know the difference.
the only thing i think comes close to the real deal is the green curry of the about 10 things that i've tasted off the menu so far

best value pad thai in winston.. thai sawatdee is a gem. you get a massive amount offoodand it's delicious and cheap. the pad thai is $10 and will last me for 3 meals. it surprised me how delicious it was, but it's some of the best pad thai in winston (comparable to downtown thai in my opinion).

love it. i go to the one in the harris teeter often for takeout, especially after nights that i've worked all day, gone to the gym, run errands. it's a great stop on the way home and convenient because i can put my order in and get all my groceries while my meal is cooked. i've never had bad service, and thefoodis great. i find i'm not partial to their tom yum soup ( a little too sweet and not spicy/soury enough for me), but every noodle and larb dish i've ever had there is perfect. btw, if you don't like extreme spice and you order a spicy dish, make sure they tame it down for you. they are true spicy gods. for anyone who thinks this isn't a restaurant, you must not consider your mcdonald's drive thru a restaurant either (but then when was the last time you actually went in and sat down at a mcdonalds?).
