going with a big group of people, we decided to get the set menu which provided a sample test of some classic staples of the menu! with such a big menu, picking can be hard but u cant wrong :))

one of the busiest thai food places, pre-book or be prepared to wait. they have a huge area but will be always crowded- says a lot about the food, eh? it is a shame we couldn’t try any food with meat coz of heath issue but totally enjoyed the mock meat preparations!

one of my favourite thai restaurants in sydney. the menu selection looks as great as the venue. we had their barramundi chef's special, beef salad, and bbq pork with the secret magical spicy sauce. something really drew me to the barramundi and bbq pork sauces. they tasted so good, and just the right amount of spice. another favourite (to us and for many) was their tom yum soup. the broth did not feel heavy at all. very delicate, with strong notes of flavour and the prawn is very fresh.

lovely thai themed ambience and tasty food make for an enchanting dine out at thai pothong. vegan options are present as well. advisable to book first.

this is one of the best thai restaurant i have been to and i am not even local. all the food i tried were just great. not only the food was excellent but the staff were just nice and friendly. the bbq baby octopus, vegetarian fried rice, crispy whole snapper, soft shell crab black pepper, fresh coconut juice and ice cream were all delicious. excellent dining experience.

our local favourite! never, ever disappoints! they’re always full with a never ending line up out the door and the staff are beyond amazing. they seat you promptly, you barely realise you lined up at all! next they’re taking your order and helping with any questions/needs with professionalism and care. the food is made with pure love and we are always finishing everything on the plates even when we are already full! a top pick for every night out from date night, family night out to celebrations and birthdays! the red duck curry is a must have!

best thai rest ive ever tasted in sydney. tried some popular ones in cbd, but this one takes the whole new level of thai food. we’ve tried mostly the recommended ones, and the fave are pineapple fried rice, red duck curry, and bbq beef salad.
try when you ever have a chance travelling to sydney.

the first impression here is the fancy luxury golden decoration!!! lol! what? giant iron men and traditional thai buddhas are placed together!?!?!? rofl.   

its serving is soooooooo*1000 fast! i think only after several minutes, all the dishes we've ordered were ready. that fantastic!!! also, the waiters and waitress are so lovely and friendly. i think thai people generally are more friendly! 

steam chilly scallop - 4/5 i am not a seafood lover so i can tell how good or bad they are but my friends they enjoyed. 

coconut seafood  -4/5 seafood mix with yellow curry sauce is elegantly presented in a 'real fresh coconut bowl' the idea and the presentation is good and must be a selling point of this dish. 

soft crab fried rice - 5/5 this is the most delicious fried rice i've tried. normally, thai fried rice in sydney is really sweet or over-dressed. but there, all good! perfect fried rice with chestnut!! 

sea food tom yum soup - 4/5

lastly, roast beef salad - i am too full to try the last dish anymore..... but my friend, she loves it, and she almost finished the whole dish by her own.

authentic flavors, great ambience and excellent service. the curry was spot on with the spices and the barramundi with thai herbs was delicious. there was no shortage in customer service as they were regularly checking if you needed anything. i can’t remember the last time i went to a restaurant and getting this level of customer service. well done guys! keep it up. will definitely be coming back and recommending others to visit.

i ordered my usual thai order: pad see ew. food was yummy (you can never mess up thai food though and service was very fast despite the restaurant being extremely busy. portion size was good but prices were expensive compared to other thai places around.

interior was very nicely decorated (including transformers figures)

this place must be one of the best thai places you can get in sydney. excellent service and just delicious food. from the bbq pork, to tofu choo chee curry, to spicy pork and basil, to pad thai, thai pothong has perfected it all. you can’t go wrong with this place, it’s an absolute winner. a necessity for every thai lover - and food lover more generally!

this place is awesome! the service are beyond my expectations, and it is extremely good. we had the birthday dinner at this restaurant and believe me it’s the best choice. food, staff perfect

food was great. my personal favorite was chili toufu, quite unique flavour. service was impeccable! they are so nice and friendly. highly recommend.

never disappointed! service is always top! love this place! food is amazing, so much room as well, top floor can be a bit noisy. but would definitely go back.

service is 10/10 but food is only good and not fantastic. my chinese broccoli pork belly was not crispy. taste wise also a bit bland and watery. could get similar standard thai food elsewhere considering the price.

great for occasions though as the restaurant can fit many tables and there are always birthdays being celebrated.
