therestaurantwas very clean and modern, and i liked the fact that the plates matched the walls. this establishment is a good sized restaurant, with a cute outside dining area, gving it a homely aura.

zomato is an app for food lovers, so it needs the honesty reviews from all customers. tonight we went to the thai herbrestaurantin gungahlin, it’s unbelievable that the curry dish and the pad thai can be served within 3 to 5 mins after we ordered the food. i am sure that they didn’t cook the food fresh but just heat the food up. worse still, the dishes were not hot at all when they arrived on the table. we ate a lot of delicious thai food before in somewhere else but unfortunately thisrestaurantextremely disappointed us. i apologise but i would not recommend thisrestaurantto you all unless they make improvements in the aspects of freshness, tastiness and the basic food temperature. they should have cooked the food freshly for customers in stead of just heat the food up. some of the dishes can even charge up to $30 each. this is extremely overpriced and not worth that price at all.

the food is always great whether we get takeaway or dine in. was here recently for dinner and service was prompt and friendly. food is delicious, if not erring on the side of too spicy but that is always an easy fix. it is on the pricier side but that is to be expected with the quality of food served. we’ve been frequenting thisrestaurantsince their previous location and will continue to visit, definitely the best thai in canberra!

absolutely the best thairestaurantin canberra have been here over 100 times, authentic flavors, plenty of chill. the stand out green papaya salad is incredible.

this place is usually packed for dinner, even on weekdays. their online ordering system is easy to use and shows you the estimated wait if you're picking up your takeaways.
most dishes on their online menu do come with pictures, which is always a plus when it comes to ordering takeaways.
their pad thai is one of the better ones you can find in canberra.
however, the pad kee mao left me well underwhelmed. the ingredients were roughly chopped and tasted like it was prepared by an amateur cook.
dishes that are ready for serving will never be left on the counter top for more than a minute, which is always a plus in the hospitality industry. floor service in therestaurantis good, with attentive waiters and waitresses always more than happy to serve.
not so much for the service at the door... staff might not acknowledge your presence and leave you standing by the door for quite a while, regardless of whether you're here to pick up your takeaway or to get a table.
last thing to note, they do not provide cutleries for takeaways, so if you're in need of some, do remember to leave a note when placing your online order for them to include them in.
overall, convenient online ordering system, good thai food and generous with their ingredients.

i'm a little disappointed here, therestaurantitself looks enticing but the food is anything but the sort in which it's evident money pool would suggest ( hence its clean cut look and atmosphere); the food is really quite average as expected of a sit in takeaway restaurant.

lovely food, but "glutened". this was our first visit to therestaurantand the food was lovely, but unfortunately, even though i emphasised and "gluten free" was written on the order, i have been "glutened". less than an hour after eating there i have a swollen, sore stomach. it must have been cross contamination rather than none gluten free food as i would be a lot worse if the food had not been gluten free. i wanted to send them an email to tell them but unfortunately their website does not have one listed, so i hope they see this. unfortunately i won't be going back. once glutened, twice shy

new location but same great food!. we're long time customers of thai herb and were very excited to eat at their newrestaurantat harrison last night (25/01/15). love what they've done with the space they have. while to some it may not have the intimacy of the old place, we were delighted with the ambiance. it gave us a feeling of 'modern' thai. as always, the food was sensational. we're big fans of the duck curry and it always appears on our table but this time we thought we'd order straight from the specials menu (with the exception of the pad thai - with extra lemon wedges - which is a family favourite and could not be negotiated away!). the squid was brilliant; hot, spicy and salty. the lamb panang was just devine.

there was one disappointing element to our evening - no john! our kids love having john come to the table, talk to them and generally make us all feel like we're welcome. when we asked "where's john?', we were told that a diner had left very negative feedback about john and his behaviour in therestaurantand he had chosen to spend less time "on the floor". all we can say is that diner clearly hasn't eaten in many restaurants that have a maitre d or 'front of house'. if you're reading this john, ignore the comment of one diner and listen to the comments of your regulars; our family missed you last night as we were hoping to congratulate you (and your wife!) on opening the new restaurant, seeing your smiling face, listen to you tell stories to our kids and making us feel like part of the thai herb family.

highly recommend the thai herb. it's one of our all time favourites!! (...and come back to the floor john!)

i've had dinner at thai herb twice, lots of good choices on the menu and the food was excellent.
both times the place was full and had a good family/happy atmosphere.
the service is very friendly and i will be definitely be going back.

we've had meals from thai herb delivered many times, every time it's by the owner who always comes with a story and a smile. last night we decided to eat in and were not disappointed. the meals were beautifully presented and delicious to eat with the perfect amount of time between courses. as an aside, i had the best lemon, lime and bitters of my life too! the staff were friendly, approachable, knowledgeable about the menu and prompt and the tables, furniture and decor were clean, crisp and homely. the owner came in as we were paying and had a joke and a laugh with us and all in all, it was a wonderful evening out. i will definitely be going back and i have no doubt we will make it our regularrestaurantand take family and friends when they're in town. i couldn't recommend this place more.
