thai herb restaurant

zomato is an app forfoodlovers, so it needs the honesty reviews from all customers. tonight we went to the thai herb restaurant in gungahlin, it’s unbelievable that the curry dish and the pad thai can be served within 3 to 5 mins after we ordered the food. i am sure that they didn’t cook thefoodfresh but just heat thefoodup. worse still, the dishes were not hot at all when they arrived on the table. we ate a lot of delicious thaifoodbefore in somewhere else but unfortunately this restaurant extremely disappointed us. i apologise but i would not recommend this restaurant to you all unless they make improvements in the aspects of freshness, tastiness and the basicfoodtemperature. they should have cooked thefoodfreshly for customers in stead of just heat thefoodup. some of the dishes can even charge up to $30 each. this is extremely overpriced and not worth that price at all.

thefoodis always great whether we get takeaway or dine in. was here recently for dinner and service was prompt and friendly.foodis delicious, if not erring on the side of too spicy but that is always an easy fix. it is on the pricier side but that is to be expected with the quality offoodserved. we’ve been frequenting this restaurant since their previous location and will continue to visit, definitely the best thai in canberra!

it seemed they weren't willing to take responsibility, but we were sent the wrong meal... no apology or anything. the only thing offered was to pay more to have the right meal re-delivered... the original delivery took over an hour to arrive and was lukewarm when it arrived.
to pay top dollar for this rubbish is nonsense. it's not the first bad experience here. one ended withfoodpoisoning and many many other occasions thefoodis lukewarm....
if you call to speak to someone with a concern everyone is disorganized, don't want to give you the time of day, and speak to you like you are an imbecile. not great service at all.
my best advice is to find somewhere else to get your thai. we will be!

we had a really enjoyable meal with friends at this popular suburban restaurant. thefoodwas good but we particularly loved the scallops which were amazing. the staff were pretty friendly and the prices were quite reasonable. byo was a plus!

not happy, i’ve ordered from thai herb many times in past. it used to be my favourite. but after tonight’s meal, i won’t be back.

the yellow curry literally had no flavour, it was strange, just cream and texture taste, no hint of any other flavour. i couldn’t eat it. the green curry had some flavour, although felt watered down. the rest of thefoodwas just ok.

i’m quite upset because i paid $134 to feed my family and we received terrible cold food.

and i’m not usually one to leave bad reviews, but i’m seriously disappointed.

nicefoodand environment. although i don’t like the yogurt in the dessert, i like the place in general. a little bit expensive and the quantity is not that big.

best thaifoodin canberra, we’ve tried various all around canberra and we just keep coming back to thai herb. they even deliver in casey now too!

haven't been here in person yet their deliveryfoodtaste wonderful. good grilled beef salad with herbs and onions. good curry with a piece or two of pineapple and lychee. these refresh your taste buds for another spoonful of curry.

this place is usually packed for dinner, even on weekdays. their online ordering system is easy to use and shows you the estimated wait if you're picking up your takeaways.
most dishes on their online menu do come with pictures, which is always a plus when it comes to ordering takeaways.
their pad thai is one of the better ones you can find in canberra.
however, the pad kee mao left me well underwhelmed. the ingredients were roughly chopped and tasted like it was prepared by an amateur cook.
dishes that are ready for serving will never be left on the counter top for more than a minute, which is always a plus in the hospitality industry. floor service in the restaurant is good, with attentive waiters and waitresses always more than happy to serve.
not so much for the service at the door... staff might not acknowledge your presence and leave you standing by the door for quite a while, regardless of whether you're here to pick up your takeaway or to get a table.
last thing to note, they do not provide cutleries for takeaways, so if you're in need of some, do remember to leave a note when placing your online order for them to include them in.
overall, convenient online ordering system, good thaifoodand generous with their ingredients.

i'm a little disappointed here, the restaurant itself looks enticing but thefoodis anything but the sort in which it's evident money pool would suggest ( hence its clean cut look and atmosphere); thefoodis really quite average as expected of a sit in takeaway restaurant.

thefoodwas quite good, but the service was below average. when we arrived, the staff seemed disorganised and floating around aimlessly. we asked to be seated, but it was unclear if we were talking to the staff or another customer. was very confused. we were asked to sit outside as nearly all the tables inside were booked. this would have been fine, but it was rather cold and there were no patio heaters (i forgot to bring my jumper, so was freezing). we waited fifteen minutes before being given a menu. it was then another twenty minutes before the waiters/waitresses actually noticed us and took our orders, despite walking in and out of the door to serve other tables several times. we felt that we had been forgotten about, so the service was a real let-down for us. thefoodwas nice though - not what i expected, but was still good.

ridiculously long wait times, coldfood& incompetent staff. we booked a table but they had obviously given it to some other party, had to wait 15 mins for one to come up. waited for menus, to order drinks and then food. waited 20 mins for drinks.foodwas at least 45 min wait and came out stone cold. no apologies from staff, no acknowledgement of our wait or that our table had been given away. awful service. not worth it, go somewhere else.

greatfoodnestled in posh decor surrounded by friendly service. good food, well prepared with flavours that were hearty and rich yet balanced and not overpowering. second best mussaman beef i've had in act thus far. thefoodis accompanied by a comfortable yet classy decor and excellent service; when ourfoodwas late coming out, we were given a complimentary dish on the house!
