terra mia

we ventured out to this restaurant based on a recent review from the orlando sentinel food critic, who gave it 3 out of 4 stars, which she rarely gives restaurants much over a 2. we waited only about 10 minutes for a table ( the place is very small) . the staff and owner were very attentive. we ordered the halibut with asparagus and fettucini and veal parmesan. added on 2 salads and was brought over a nice basket of bread with an oil and balsamic vinegar dipping sauce. the halibut was very good, however a little pricey @ $25.95. the veal was good also, but the sauce was boring as if from a can. my wife makes homemade tomato sauce as well as vodka cream sauce. she always compares hers to theirs at any place we go. she mentioned that the only 2 places we have found with good marinara sauce in the 3 years we have lived in central florida are: pannulo's in winter park, and goodfella's in debary. for some reason, italian restaurants down here seem to tend to " dumb down" the sauce so to speak. other than that, the meals weregreatand i would recommend it . mabbe next time we will try the " brick oven" pizza !!

excellent food and service. i just moved from texas and have been staying in the westin across the street while waiting on our house to be finished. i eat there 2 or 3 times a week. the food isgreatbut the smiling faces on the staff just makes you feel good. the chefs add their own touch to the atmosphere too,greatplace! love it! ronnie (toyota)

i had the 10" pizza for lunch. the food wasgreatand price was not bad for lunch. i will be going back !greatplace!

yummy food, suspect server. boy, i've had a half-dozen wonderful dinners this month at the lake mary location--the best manicotti, tasty eggplant, noodles,greatseasoned spinach, anchovy pizza to die for--but perhaps i remind the tall, brunette server at the bar of someone she intensly dislikes. never says hello, no smiles, doesn't return to see if i'd care for anything else, and forget expecting a "thank you" when paying the check. if i wanted to feel bad, instead of going to an excellent italian restaurant for gourmet quality dinners, i'd go to a horror movie instead!

a little overrated. i have been wanting to try this place for some time now. with all of thegreatreviews i was very optimistic.
unfortunately, i was let down.
this place is bustling. nice atmosphere and you can tell it is frequented by the local heathrow crowd. this is a tiny restaurant, so when more than twenty people show up it looks like a huge crowd.
service was welcoming and friendly. however, we felt like the host was hovering over our table (waiting for us to leave to seat the next party, perhaps?)
food was average at best. brick oven pizza 13" was almost flavorless and the crust was very thin, which would be a good thing if it wasn't soggy. chicken parm was good but not highly memorable. bread was ok but a little too chewy. the best part of the meal was the olive oil dip for the bread. that was delicious! calamari was good too but just ok. can get the same thing at any decent pizza place.

the prices were very reasonable.
terra mia has definitely capture the hometown feel so i can see why people like it. but for me the food was not memorable and i will probably stick with my local pizza place for when i'm craving pizza and italian food.

unbelievably good!. i am always looking forgreatitalian restaurants and growing up with a big italian family i am extremely picky about it. i work close to the restaurant and have passed by hundreds of times before i finally went in. i was amazed at what a cool little spot this is. the cooks speaking in italian felt like a movie and the food was fantastic. i get the specials often and they are always great. a lot of good authentic picks off the menu as well. the sauce is awesome! and for lunch, you can't beat the meatball panini. the best.

need to also add what an ecellent value this was...5 meals, 2 salads, dessert and two sodas for $80. very reasonably priced for how excellent the food was.

happened upon this place by accident , and read the reviews so we decided to give them a try. it was a thu night and the place was packed. although there are not a ton of tables we only waited about 20 min. so worth the wait. let me start off with the salad dressing being delicious and agreatbalance of vinegar and oil. probably some of the best pizza i have ever had. the thin crust was so flavorful it held its own against the toppings which were top notch themselves. i wish i lived closer to be able to enjoy the food again. i will also add that the service was very friendly and prompt.greatjob terra mia.

excellent, authentic italian food.. excellent pizza,greatpaninis, delicious desserts. real italian done right. high quality ingredients.

great place!. a group of 13 showed up here at 5:30 last friday night. the very accommodating staff moved several tables together so we could enjoy dinning in two groups. service was the best we have seen in a long time. fresh salads and pizza was loved by all.
greatfood and service will have us coming back for another wonderful dinning experience!

incredible. francesco is one of the best chefs in any of the italian restaurant i've visited. the cuisine is delightful, the owners, rozario and mossimo, are incredible hosts, and the servers do agreatjob. cannot adequately express howgreatterra mia is with mere words.

this was agreatlittle restaurant, it is small but the food was great. the atmosphere was pleasant and waitress was very attentive. price was average butgreatvalue on the quality.

have you tried those paninis?. i had agreat$7 panini.. it was spectacular. the salad i ordered was great, too. unfortunately, seating is limited and its a popular place, so plan accordingly. i plan to visit again to explore the rest of the menu!

love it!. we have been there for lunch three times. ordering off the express lunch menu - excellent every time. service is great...amazing food and agreatprice!

consistently outstanding. i've only been here a few times, and it was a year since our last visit but the food was asgreatas it was a year ago.

we sat at the bar during a busy lunch hour and watched the tables turn over as we enjoyed a long lunch and bottle of wine. i wish more restaurants could offer such fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly and at a reasonable price.

i typically dislike orlando area restaurants as they cater to the stereo-typicaly middle american tastes, which are not discerning, but terra mia is a wonderful surprise.
