great decor. the restaurant is decorated very well and when you walk in you feel like your in a very fancy restaurant. the service was great and food was tasty. greatwinemenu and the carpaccio was delicous.

if you are looking for high end italian food and awinelist that will blow you away this is your place. their food takes influences from northern italy and is always coordinated with what is "in season". teatro's chef, dominique moussu, amazes with his a

love it.. we love this place - the food, service &wineare always excellent. i have enjoyed every dish i have had here, and always look forward to going back. decor is very nice too.

great ambiance.  great building.  feels like you've stepped out of calgary for a couple of hours.  staff is knowledgable, menu is delightful, and thewinelist is great.  will definitely be going back!!

wow! absolutely fabulous dining! i was there with a large group. the room beautiful and warm. thewinewas endless and at the end of the night they recorked the unfinished bottles and gave them to us to take home. each course was out of this world! you just have to find the right occasion to try it out.

surprisingly awful! beautiful atmosphere, nice professional service, but the food was quite awful. the seafood lasagna consisted of over cooked pasta, bland sauce, heavily thickened, a sort of ragu which tasted canned, and very little actual shellfish. i also had the butterscotch creme brûlée which i swear was made from condensed milk. i'm really quite shocked that a lunch for four people (glass ofwinefor each) at a price tag in excess of $300 could be so bad. won't be back.

i’d been to teatro a couple times for lunch and knew that i wanted to bring jason there for dinner. the big taste was the perfect opportunity to do so – $65 for 5 courses plus $30 per person forwinepairings with each course. our reservation was for the first saturday of the big taste and we tried parking in the telus convention centre parkade as we normally do when we attend a play or eat at the east end of stephen ave. according to the numbered signs there were only 4 spots remaining in the whole parkade – 4 of us entered the parkade and made our rounds. we were the unlucky ones and had to find another lot down the road.

teatro has been open for a numerous of years and their quality remains the same. prime service and anything on the menu is delicious. they have a greatwinelist and their cocktails are dangerously delicious. if you're into history and character then you'll appreciate the decor as it was a former bank. if you come, don't forget to ask for a tour of their impressivewinecellar that holds 12,000 bottles!

fantastic food and fantastic service. one of the best, if not the best, in calgary. great menu andwinelist as well. great ambiance. a great dining experience. too bad they aren't open for lunch on the weekend though.

servers here are always pleasant and well trained.
i was happy with the 5 meal course dinner (big taste 2015).
when i came here for 8-course meal (but about 12 comes out).
first half did not taste very good. 
i felt like they were testing these high end food on me to see if i like it or not. 
the main courses that came after were really good though.
also thewinepairings were well done. 
perfect place to celebrate a special night.

exceptional evening. my partner took me for the 8 course meal withwinepairing this evening and i am over the moon at what a beautiful evening we had. the service was exceptional the food andwineexquisite.'this was the ultimate indulgence in food and wine. they were paired perfectly and delighted our senses. the attention to smell, the origins of food and wine, the unexpected ingredients all made for an amazing experience. the space is gorgeous with gorgeous art decorating it. i am blessed to have experienced such a fabulous celebration of,food drink,and service bravo teatro!

beyond amazing!!! service, food, you name it!!. my hubby booked our anniversary dinner here last night. first time here. beautiful building!! hostess greeted us immediately and sat us down. when we asked to move to the big comfy gold booths they had. she did so with a smile and took our pic when i asked her too. we were immediately brought two glasses of pro secco. complimentary. nice surprise and then our waiter michael b came to greet us and told us about the specials. he filled our waters and gave us a few mins. he came back and we ordered the foie gras and soup special to start as well as a bottle of the st urban 2004 riesling. he brought us fresh bread and mentioned that if they don't have ourwinethey will find another one similar and that we would be taken care of. this communication really matters. they brought us the 2003 and 2005. we got the 2003 riesling and it was amazing!!! i enjoy a sweeter palette for my wine. our starters came and were very delicious!!! then our meal came-prawn spaghetti and veal with broccolini and baby potatoes. delicious delicious. decent portions. water was always refilled as well as thewinethat they put on ice. we ordered dessert after. a raspberry sorbet with lemon meringue pie and raspberry purée. waiter wished me happy birthday and told us it was on the house. i did not correct him and say our anniversary. he was an amazing waiter as he was attentive and knowledgeable. food was amazing. our new favourite. we will be bringing friends back here. service is everything!! 5 stars!!!

had a great birthday dinner here last week with my husband. we had the chef tasting menu and really enjoyed all the courses andwinepairings. we had extremely knowledgeable staff and were all around very impressed. this place is my favorite for special occasions!!

i really enjoyed this place the only downfall was the food portions were super super small vs the price i have been to really fine dinning before so i know the plate sizes are small but this was insanely small but other that the services was amazing except for theirwineguy he was grumpy as hell a didn't want to help us pair a bottle ofwinewith our food
