amazing!!!!. i went here one night for cocktails with my friends (because i read that they were excellent) and wasn't really planning on eating, but we ended up eating too!

it is a gorgeous place that reminds me of a parisian brasserie. you feel completely transported!

our cocktails were delicious! i was feeling like i needed a fresh pick-me-up (was traveling all over the place that day), so i had the pimm's cup - very refreshing! also tried the royal gin fizz which was perfect if you love prosecco, and lastly, the rye gingerale - which was sweet, but in a rye way and very good if you don't like rye too much, but wanted to have a taste of rye.

the food we had was amazing and i wish we were more hungry! we had the bone marrow (delicious!) and the pork pate (also super delicious!). the dishes were rich in flavour and even the vegetables on the dish were phenomenal. i highly recommend it and i will definitely be back to try their sunday roasts!

stylish place that knows their cocktails. i had a great experience here. we got the sunday roast, and we both loved it. absolutely fantastic un-pretentious roast meat. really tastefully done decor too, it really transports me to a different place and time.

the cocktails are great too, but they seem fairly small for the price. look forward to coming back and checking out the regular menu.

after our terrific experience at taverne square dominion, i would certainly recommend it to everyone. the dim (read: flattering) lighting would definitely be the perfect ambience for a romantic date night ;)

looking for an evening out with friends? a great date place? a place to pick up after work? dominion square tavern can meet all of those needs– and more! as soon as you walk through the door, you feel like you’ve been transported to a different time and place. the restaurant has many original elements that date back to its original incarnation during the roaring 20′s. if you have a minute, we encourage you to read about it here . finished? our city is so fucking cool. the tavern, which offers “bistro-style dishes with an accessible french canadian palate [...] is also notably infused with a british sensibility.” it it ever! white uniforms, aprons, black vests– lovely! we were a group of 5 last week and as we were celebrating a dear friend’s upcoming nuptials, we weren’t really being budget-conscious. appetizers range in price from $4-$22 and mains from $15-$42. they also have an amazing cocktail list and pretty much anything else you might be looking for (of the alcoholic variety). fo

dominion square tavern is one of downtown montreal's greatest additions in the last five years or so. the food and drinks are solid, the vintage decor is unique and the mood is trendy/smart, be it for dinner or drinks at the bar. we've been enough times not to let tonight's misses skew our overall appreciation of the spot.

always a pleaser. i have been to dominion multiple times since watching the bourdain episode where it was featured among other montreal hot spots.
whether i arrive at 5:00pm for a full supper and some spot-on traditionally made cocktails, or i am arriving after a show downtown and it's close to midnight, i am always impressed by the superb service, creative menu, and astounding mixology-trained bartending. i only wish this place was not a two hour drive from my home so i could become a regular patron. although they have the product to become incredibly pretentious about their food and the prices, dominion remains fair-priced and not overwhelmed by their stint of tv fame.
can't wait to go back and sample more of the menu. best late night scotch egg i have ever eaten!

my first impression was positive, the place was built in the late 20′s it was well reflected in the decor. the place is not ran down and they just kept the original cachet of the place by keeping the old aged mirrors behind the bars and the back bar counters (anyways i’m pretty sure they are originals). although it was a weekday the place was pretty full so we had to take a seat at the bar . the bar also looked of the era with silver platters to hold the bottles on the bar stacking absinthe, gin and pimm’s, a liqueur i had never

good but not great. ate here with my girlfriend, gin & tonics were very good, the main dinner was very tasty ( bangers and mash for me and medallion of beef , very tender and tasty for her)

the food was great but in my opinion over priced for what was being served. english pub food ...

try it you will like it but if you have more than 2 people make sure to make a reservation or you won't get in.

we wanted something new… and instead we stumbled upon something very old. we entered dominion square tavern and were immediately wowed with the spectacle before us. built in 1927 as a hotel tavern, it is reminiscent of a 1920s speakeasy right in the center of the shopping district of downtown montreal. how had we missed this hidden gem nestled below st.catherine on metcalfe?  we opened the thick wooden door, saw the high ceilings with metal chandeliers and tiled walls, and felt transported back in time.

average... in every way: food, ambiance, even drinks.

went for dinner, had the ploughman's lunch (fish version) and the nutmeg doughnuts. the lunch was very basic (could get this or better anywhere, and i mean anywhere!), the doughnuts tasted of oil and where not particularly moist. drinks were good, strong, but some very small for the price and again, nothing particularly original.

ambiance is ok too, i know some people live it, but was really just an upscale looking pub.

i don't recommend it above anywhere else in the city for drinks, and there's def better places to eat.

i was there with my gf last month and i have nothing to say but good things about this restaurant. the deviled egg and scotched egg were amazing as well as the meat platter! the vibe was warm and very welcoming. our server was great and even recommended us bars to visit. i would definitely go back again.
