decent food, slow service. my husband and i have been to taste twice. the firsttimewe went for dinner. it was the friday night before new year's in 2011 and extremely crowded. i was excited to see a local establishment so busy, especially in that part of town, so the wait to be seated did not bother me. however, after we got seated it took an hour for us to get our food after we had been seated. the food that we ordered was good, the drinks were good, and the music was good, so i just let it go and chalked it up to being a new restaurant and a busy night before the holiday weekend.
so recently, we went there for lunch. it was about 1:00 in the afternoon and mostly empty. there were only two other tables that were seated at the sametimeas us. unfortunately, the service wasn't any faster. in fact, service was slower. we didn't get anything complicated - i got a fettucine alfredo with broccoli. my husband got jerk chicken wings. got water for drinks. they were refilled once. ordered a piece of chocolate cake to go. server was nowhere to be found. we were sitting there with empty plates and no check for 20 minutes after we had finished eating. then when he finally came with the check, we gave him the money, and it was another 15 minutes before he returned with the receipt and the change. it was 2:40 by thetimewe finally left. we got there at 1. that's completely unacceptable.
