me rikey. i haven't enjoyed a main dish yet. bit brand. but the dumprings have been dericious everrtime (i've been here 10 times) i arways get the spicy dumprings in a peanut chirri sauce and the pork dumprings with a soupy sauce firring. cheap! 8/10 times fast service and very tasty!

everytime i go to taste gallery i would not bother about the service. i would look out for this waiter call michael and only use him. they do treat you "a little better" if you are a regular.
why i always return here? it is the only real chinese food that do not served over marinated chicken that taste like processed chicken, claim to have "no - msg" and our garlic bak choy has garlic in it, compare to other chinese restaurant, garlic bak choy has no garlic.... =,=
my partner always order the special fried rice. on average the rice is not too bad, occasionally under cook, occasionally too greasy, occasionally bland, but i thought the vinegar goes well with everything..

after dinner here, i would always go to the corner, behind market square (taiwanese deep fried food stall) and get a plum sweet potato chips for dessert

over-charged!. order a fish dish of the menu which listed for $23.80, but was charged for $31.80. questioned why, they said i ordered 'live fish'. i explained i didn't and was not aware that there was an option to do so. if i did ordered the live fish, i would have asked for the price and chose the fish. additionally, did not see any fish been taken out of their fish tanks nor was explained about it. they refused to apologize nor refund the excess charge. that's an act of a scam! definitely not going back there!! diners beware!

haven’t been to taste gallery at sunnybank for a long long time, tonight little monster’s beloved auntie cat invited us to have dinner and farewell little monster’s grandma after staying in brisbane for 2 months (aka grandma survives 2 months of boredom :p). little monster’s favourite food is shanghainese xiao long bao - little pork soup dumplings. and he is quite picky that any xiao long bao without soup will not be eaten (sigh)! we had 4 baskets of xiao long bao and probably this is the only nice food at taste gallery…

bland and lacking. the food quite good when this restaurant opened so, in a party of 4, we paid a return visit and ordered a range of dishes from the extensive menu. you have to know the routine here and tick the boxes of the choices on the menu and attract a waiter - we wanted a light meal so ordered a few yum cha style dishes. the result was very average and lacked imagination. the squid was tough and greasy, the noodle dish very bland with no interesting sauce and the dumpling quite stogy. perhaps it was an off day (tuesday lunch) and the main chef was absent. all in all disappointing and not good value.

very enjoyable. we thoroughly enjoyed our meals here, the service was prompt and efficient and i thought it was priced at what i would normally pay. it was quite loud inside, which is the general atmosphere of market square dining anyway.

absolutely disgusting food. how they can mess up something as simple as fried rice is beyond me. my 1st lot had plastic in it and the 2nd batch was horribly undercooked. just inedeible. the fried pork buns were so bland and disgusting i could only manange to eat half of one out of 4. by the end of the meal, 90% of the food was left on the table. i might as well have thrown my $42 off a bridge.
by far the worst place i've even eaten, with ridiculously over priced food, plastic in my meal, undercooked and bland food, i would recommend everyone to avoid this restaurant like the the plague.

the lemon chicken was the worst of all. it was bland, covered in a thick layer of flour and for the price that we paid i was expecting more than just food-court quality lemon chicken. having said all that, i did enjoy the braised chicken fillets with super spicy sauce. the chicken fillets were extremely tender and the fiery sauce left me wanting more.

6/10. i've eaten here many times. xiao long bao is amazing! i've always had great food until recently when the meat in my dumplings was raw (thank god it wasn't chicken)! thankfully the staff rectified the situation and apologised profusely. wasn't too happy, but mistakes happen. roast duck is good and the amount you get is great value for money. the service here is pretty terrible though. the staff walk around but fail to come and take your order. i've waited over half an hour to order before because they simply walk past you. once they take your order the meas are fairly quick to be made but make sure you're not super hungry when you arrive because you'll be waiting a while.

despite the last few bad reviews, i came here anyway, because i wanted to form my own opinion of this place once and for all. i'm afraid i have to agree with all facets of the last previous posters. do not bother with this place.

worse experience for food. we ordered two congee dishes, wanton soup and a couple of spring rolls.
wantons we're dry, tasteless and hardly any meat. all i could taste was scrimp paste.
who could have though such a simple dish like congee could be so bland and watery. barely any preserved egg in there. what meat? couldn't see any pork in there. seafood congee was also bland and watery.
what really surprised my friends and i was the puer tea. maybe 6-7 pieces of leaves in there?! couldn't believe how stingy they were with the tea leaves. tasteless bland tea.

this place should be called tasteless gallery!


each dish was a disaster. no wonder this place is always empty when i walk pass! rarely see any asians in there too.

tasteless. we ordered steamed pork ribs ..it came out tasteless..pork ribs were just literally swimming in its own fat without any seasoning...
stir fried noodles.. came out dry, again lack of seasoning...

i went there just to try out pork xiao long bao and some other small dishes as i am not very hungry. went in there with my son and sat there for 5 mins without any service or menu and i have to stand up before someone would bring me the menu. after we have decided what to have, we have to wait for another 10 mins and no one come again so i have to walk to the counter and ask if someone can take my order so i was starting to get quite unhappy and really want to leave but my son really want to have those xiao long bao so i guess i better stay. i wasn't waiting for that long before my food come and the xiao long bao and pancake hasn't disappoint me.

xiao long bao $8 and the shreddred pork with pancake (according from the menu) $15.95.

when we go to pay our bill, it shown that the shreddred pork with pancake is $20.95 so i was a bit shock because i don't think it was that expensive. overall i am not please with their service as there was so service cos all those waitress just look their eyes in the air. hm.... there are a lot of restaurants in sunnybank which has better service and price and better food therefore i guess i am not going back there again for dinner.

lovely. the pork xiao long bao were amazing - will go back and order only those next time! service wasn't as bad as i've come to expect for sunnybank restaurants (they got my order wrong but managed to give us the right items without too long a delay).

overpriced with ok service. ridiculous to charge for ginger that is supposed to come with the xiaolongbaos. seriously?
