service: 9 taste: 7.5 valu.... service: 9
taste: 7.5
value: 7.5

thetasteis better than average, but like most chinese food in brisbane it is quite oily/salty/sweet but it's extremely so and never moderate it would seem. we still enjoyed the meal however.

the value is not bad. it's not the best priced restaurant and nor is it the worst.

we found the service to be the best thing abouttastegallery. all the staff that we dealt with were friendly, helpful and cooperative. we ordered a dish which was "spicy" with the option of mild, medium or hot where we choose medium. we both eat spicy food and just recently returned from south korea we were ready for a medium spiced dish. what was served was incredibly hot no where near medium. for us it was not edible and so they cancelled the item of our order and took the dish away. because of this high standard of service, i would definitely return to thetastegallery. the milk teas are really nice too, great flavour but not too sweet.

absolutely abhorrent. a girlfriend and i went intotastegallery on a friday night that was not particularly busy. we were initially seated promptly and after perusing the menu for a few minutes our orders were taken by one of the waiters. thats about when the good service ended. after sitting for half an hour and watching all the tables around us get their meals we began to think something was wrong. we tried catching the eye of the floor staff to no avail but eventually one of the girls on the floor finally noticed we hadnt recieved any food yet. it seems the man who had taken our order had to forgotten to put it through the system. we were then informed our order had just been put in and would be out soon. the first dish then came out another 10 minutes later followed by the wrong soup which had to be taken back and replaced... another 15 or so minutes. once we had finished our overall average meal we went to pay. no discount or rememdy to situation was offered. when i asked to speak to the manager i was informed that the man i was speaking to, the one who was behind all the trouble, was in fact the manager. he then offered 15% off the $54 bill... which was, according to him, around $3.50. wrong. after making him correct his error we left. overall it was an absolutely terrible experience for an average meal. no way in hell would i ever return. hire competent staff.

labour day in queensland today. bored out of my mind after having only been awake for an hour. but luckily, my sister was home for the weekend and this morning, suggested we and our mum head out to market square, for lunch. everybody else had already been totastegallery, so we decided this was our destination for today's meal. peking duck. we arrived in market square, and it was busy per usual. what i absolutely loathe about this place is finding a park, and considering how small their spaces are, it makes it even worse! however, today was stress free for me, as my sister drove! marinate beef. we arrived at the restaurant, and were seated by an eager waitress who ran from the back of the restaurant, to the front, to have us appointed to the table. i thought that was a cute touch. there were quite a few tables already filled. the booths were already taken, as they seemed quite a private and secluded little nook in the restaurant. the decor is very classy, as you would see in any high

we usually visit for their peking duck, steamed dumplings and pan fried pork buns. on this visit we want a light meal so we ask for a hot & spicy soup, deep fried quail, xiao long bau and pan fried pork buns.

*hot & spicy soup is really sour and difficult to drink (2.5/5).

*fried quail is excellent, nicely seasoned, tender and juicy (5/5).

*xlb are disappointing with two dumplings served with broken skin, hence no gravy (2/5).

*pan fried pork bunstasteokay have no gravy (3/5).

overall a disappointing meal. in future, i may return to order 2-3 quails for lunch.

i'm in love withtastegallery's chilli fish in hot oil. it's so tasty and made with the most tender basa fillets i've ever crammed into my facehole. the other dishes pictured here (salt & pepper fried white fish, pork strips in sweet bean sauce with pancakes for wrapping, shen jian bao (pan-fried dumplings), braised tofu, braised eggplant, sweet & sour pork, and walnut dessert) were all incredibly tasty and i would definitely return again to try more of their extensive menu, especially since you can get 20% off if you have a zomato pro membership.

having been twice, the only gripe i have is that the service on my second visit felt a bit less attentive than before as it took a little while to flag down a waiter to take our order. however, the food was very enjoyable and i'll certainly be back for more.

was very happy with my visit totastegallery, staff was very welcoming always smiling and the food was delicious. i think it was the best yumcha i’ve had in brisbane. their xiao long bao’s amazing and very juicy. my friend was also very happy with my choice of restaurant for our brunch date. definitely will be coming back! keep up the good work!

went totastegallery a few weekends ago to avail myself of their reopening promotion of 50% off rainbow dumplings and pan fried dumplings. they were also having specials on live lobster ($108/kg) and live fish ($55/kg), but we only watched on with envy as lobster after lobster got fished out of the tank for takeaway, sashimi, and cooking by various other customers.

our order:
* no.25 rainbow homemade dumplings (steamed) 水煮彩色水饺, $11.80 8pcs - pork & chives (normal/no colour), black pepper beef (black/squid ink), cucumber & shrimp (red/beetroot), chicken & mushroom (yellow/pumpkin)
* no.29 pan fried pork dumplings 香煎肉锅贴, $11.80 8pcs
* no.26 deep fried calamari 香炸鱿鱼圈, $9.80 6pc
* no.902 special (yangzhou) fried rice 扬州炒饭, $15.80
* no.809 braised eggplant 红烧茄子, $16.80

every dish we had was pretty spot on - the pan fried pork dumplings were one of the better ones i've had (though personally i'd prefer a filling that wasn't just pork alone), and it was interesting working through the different flavours in the rainbow dumplings. what really made my eyes pop though was the braised eggplant - it was so delectable that i'd be happy eating that with plain rice. definitely recommend.

i booked through eat club for 25% off the bill but had a few hiccups in using it, including being told at payment time that i'd have to pay cash because of the eatclub booking/discount (i was intending to use @livenpay to earn some rewards). not sure where the issue lies but it's been fed back to both eatclub and the restaurant so hopefully it gets sorted out for the next time/person.

despite this i'm keen to return cos the food is good and there's plenty more to explore in that huge/long menu of theirs. you could very well spend a few meals working through the yum cha section alone but there's lots more in the cooked dishes sections and i feel like i need to attack those with a larger group to better share and sample.

miss y’s and mine cravings for chinese food has led us totastegallery which is situated in market square in sunnybank. . she wanted spicy fish 😂 i just wanted dumplings! 🥟 . we got to the venue, totally forgetting that they did a huge renovation during the christmas period. walked in, and loved it! it was bright, the lighting was comfortable and the chairs looked comfortable.

a chinese restaurant with a great location at market square sunnybank with a nice indoor atmosphere. the food is delicious with a wide selection available on the menu.tastegallery also offers bubble tea which also tastes good, although maybe not as good as other bubble tea places at sunnybank.

the food was amazing, we had several kinds of dumplings which were delicious and juicy~ the beef noodles with pepper and veggies were awesome, the serving size was massive and the veggies were fresh and crisp~ the spring rolls were massive and crunchy, and the pumpkin cakes were super cute and their red bean filling was nice and smooth~ the iced tea and fruit juices were also great, you couldtastethe fruit~
the staff were very nice and friendly also! the decor inside was also really pretty~ the prices were very affordable, i honestly expected less food for those prices so i was pleasantly surprised!

good place to eat, large portion and fast service. the staff was nice. the pork was a bit out of my expectation but it was still ok. red beannpaste pancake is a must-try. it was amazing.. crunchy outside but you cantastea perfect combination of chewiness and softness when you bite the inner part.

that’s right, the dumpling craze has spread from myself to my wonderful colleagues! moahahahaa. anyway, this fateful friday we headed down the highway to sunnybank to try outtastegallery. the dumplings were great, particularly the xiao long bao. really juicy and the wrapper wasn’t too thick. we had the fluffy pan fried pork buns, pan fried beef dumplings (interesting they don’t do pork?) and the wonton in spicy sauce.

another place to have an asian breakfast at sunnybank market square.

the restaurant offers congee buffet, pay for a bowl and you get to eat as much congee as you want. this includes the stick fried cake, sauces, as well as coriander leaves, cut dried seaweed, and tiny dried shrimps.

i came here and tried the chicken congee, and also the lamb congee. the congee has some shredded meat inside of it. sometimes the meat also accompanied with egg. both were tasty, but for the more delicious combination, i recommend you to get the tiny dried shrimps and a bit of soy sauce.

also ordered the pan fried pork bun. it has soup and minced meat inside but crispy on the outside.

the soybean milk was hot andtastetoo bland for me.

will come back here again totastedelicious congee and pork bun.

after my somewhat less than satisfying meal at ithai i continued hunting in market square for better sustenance, and dumplings were in my sight.
the 'crystal prawn' dumplings were very good, nice thin skin, nice firm dumpling filled with prawn meat.
unfortunately, the first teochew dumpling that i bit into was a bit frozen on the inside. to her credit, the waitress offered me a replacement when i pointed this out.
the second round of the teochew dumplings was hot as it should be and tasted alright. this is probably more due to mytastepreference, than the quality of the dumplings.
i finally ordered the peking duck rolls to end my meal. they were rather thin and unsatisfying with the hoisin sauce a bit too sweet.
overall, not too bad, but not great.

visitedtastegallery for dinner this evening, and after reading some of the reviews i really wasn't expecting much but decided to go in with an open mind. i was very pleasantly surprised!!

i started with steamed pork buns and combination dumplings for entree. they were both delicious. the pork buns were fresh and juicy however weren't big with flavour. however in contrast the combination dumplings were just delicious. juicy, fresh and full of flavour.

for mains, sizzling schezcuan chicken (excuse spelling) and sizzling beef with pepper sauce both were delicious and fresh. the portion sizes were generous also.

the service was very good and the staff very polite and helpful.

all in all a great experience, great food at reasonable prices. will be back again.
