innovative comfort food at its finest. i love the fact that this family-owned restaurant is completely out of the way, and yet is always full of people who are willing to make the drive to enjoy what taggart's has to offer. we went on a saturday evening, and they were expectedly slammed. steve (the owner) was busy working the front of the house and greeting and seating guests.
our server seemed a little frazzled, as if she had a few too many tables to handle. when our food arrived, she realized that she forgot to place mymealin the computer. while the kitchen rushed to make me a plate, i looked on as the rest of the party enjoyed their meals.
but the wait was well worth it. i had the chicken enchilada, which was seasoned perfectly (albeit the chicken was a bit dry). the white sauce on the enchilada was lovely, and themealwas fantastic. our server made up for forgetting mymealby comping me a dessert, which was appreciated. definitely check out their dessert selection (it's hard to miss--they strategically place their display case prominently in the waiting area :)
worth the drive. check it out.
