this little place is well worth the drive, my family has been going here for years. some things you should realize before you go: 1. if you go during lunch or dinner rush, expect to wait a while; plan accordingly. 2. kids can't be seated outside because of
*possible* rattlesnakes, we've never seen one, and the outdoor seating is awesome. don't be a jerk and argue with the servers that your kid is a special case, it ruins everyone else's meal. keep those two things in mind and you'll have agoodtime. the only bad meals we've ever had here had nothing to do with food or service, but other diners with crappy attitudes.

nice little place, prices are not to bad. i ordered the french dip which was more like a philly cheese steak in a pita served with au-jus. it wasgoodbut it's not really a french dip.

an original, unique eatery. i have been dining at taggart's since it was a 1 woman affair and it's still asgoodas as it was when it first opened with just 4 tables.
my wife used to be a river guide that was based out of a shed behind the restaurant so we got to enjoy the place routinely and now we try to visit monthly, primarily so i can get my carrot cake fix.
it's the first place that i ever had a "wrap" anything. they have the best fries, best carrot cake, and their sunday brunch is great.
the mountain views are unique and the "fish pond" is fantastic along with wandering wildlife and wild birds that are everywhere. after you eat walk over to the river and enjoy the sights and sounds of the river and bond with mom nature.

gluten-free friendly?! is that supposed to be a joke?. my wife went to taggart's for a work event. she has two food allergies: gluten and seafood. you'd think that those two things wouldn't exclude a person from finding at least something to eat at taggart's, but you'd be wrong. i am astounded at the lengths taggart's went to make sure she had a bad experience and wouldn't be able to eat anything. her gluten-free options included seafood options (obviously not an option for her), a lettuce-wrapped burger, or a salad with no dressing. seems like it wouldn't be a problem, since she orders lettuce-wrapped burgers all the time, and likes them. the issue is that taggart's feels they ought to squeeze every penny they can from those with food allergies and charges $2 for every possible workaround. lettuce-wrap? that'll be $2 (which makes sense, with all the extra... er... lack of a bun...?). want to bring your own salad dresssing? sorry, that's another $2. they literally charge more for providing less. and with overpriced food and the fact that she had a limited budget for the work event of $15, a lettuce-wrapped burger became out the question as well, as was bringing her own dressing. so she ended up with a dry salad. wonderful. so worth it.

and then, after all that, they forgot her order. seriously?! is this real life? i'm still half-convinced she was the victim of a prank.

it's pretty unbelievable how much taggart's went out of their way to ensure she'd have nothing to eat. have you ever heard of customer service? it's this cool new thing where you try to make sure your customers have a satisfying experience, so they'll want to come back. taggart's should consider trying it some time. i don't care howgoodthe food is (deliciously dry salads!), customer service as poor as that means taggart's will never, ever have my business, or that of anyone i can tell about it. hope it's worth that $2.

bad service. me and my husband took my mother to taggerts, we told her howgoodthe food was. when we got there they put us out on the patio at a table that had no shade, 90 degree weather. it took 20 minutes just for a waitress to come and get our drink order. we ordered or meal at the same time. waited 1 hour and still had not gotten our food. they seated 5 other tables and 4 of the tables were served within 15 minutes or less. still we had not been served our food. after a little over an hour we got up and left explaining to the waitress why we were leaving, was not treated very well. payed for our drinks, which i think they should have comp us and we left. will not go back to taggerts ever again.

as long as i have lived here i didn't know that this place existed. it is a nice clean place, the little bakery front has a lot ofgoodlooking desserts. plan to try as many of them as i can. the meal was good, many fresh ingredients are used. this is going to be on my "return to" list.

disappointing sunday brunch. last sunday i took the family out for brunch. taggart has always been a great place for lunch or dinner so i knew we weren’t taking any chances on agoodmeal. we have been frequenting taggart from the time they first opened.
last sunday was the most disappointing meal we have ever had. i splurged on the steak and eggs. this was the worst piece of meat i have ever tasted. could not finish it, took the rest home for the dogs. best part of the breakfast was the eggs. another member of our party had the eggs benedict, he was unable to eat the ham due to odd flavor and concerned with its quality. i mentioned the problem to the waitress expecting the chef to respond to us be nothing happened we were just told the chef apologizes. i watched another couple across from us who returned both their meal for some reason. i regret this visit to the taggart; i am very disappointed in the food and the response to my concern about serving unhealthy food.
