love it. been going here since it opened. ilovethe people and the food. real mexican food and just the right spice. the one review that says its not good must not know real mexican food. its top of the line.

oh! this place has simply become better over the last few years. great service, delicious authentically mexican dishes.

taco don nacho. clean, one room dining room, very friendly staff, terrific menu. family owned, gustavo is the owner and works the counter and he's always smiling. and he should be - his place has been busy busy every day since he opened last year. truly authentic mexican dishes, and a plethora to choose from. ilovethe taco rico plate, and the sopas are just plain delicious. if you like menudo, drop in on a saturday morning - you know menudo is great for hangovers, right? this is a veritable jewel in the restaurant-barren desert of south council road.

love, love,lovethis place!. food is outstanding! i had the taco/enchilada combo. amazing! chips and dip are fresh and excellent. dip is a bit spicy - just the way i like it! just went saturday and planning a 2nd trip so i can try something else on the menu. a friend recommended the taco salad and the shrimp cocktail... but everything looks delish!

this is my new favorite mexican restaurant. everything is so delicious and fresh. my favorite is the enchiladas rancheras. the verde sauce is so good. you can tell the beans are not from a can. i alsolovethe quacamole. the service is not great but, the food makes up for it.

california -mex. i read the reviews and couldn't wait to try it , and i'm so glad i did ! the folks that operate this clean, well appointed, taco shop are very friendly and eager to answer any question you might have, which to okies, might be numerous if they have never traveled to southern california.
my wife and i used to go there frequently, so we were well versed in the menu items that are delicious, and the best part is you can go for breakfast, lunch,or
supper either one.
so far i have only made it to lunch, but i plan to remedy that soon as ilovemexican breakfast items, my fav. type of breakfast, try this place you'll like it !

iloveit. moved here from la a few years ago and so far this is the best i've tried. back home we have a lot of good mexican restaurants. so i know what i'm talking about. well to find out the place originally comes from cali. so there you go..

good place overall. the food is awesome. brush up on your mexican meats...barbacoa, carnitas, etc so you know what you're ordering. if you have questions, they can answer them pretty good even if english is their 2nd language. ilovethe food...the tacos are $1.30 each and you can eat cheap if you want. everything i've eaten is good. the salsa can be pretty spicy and most everything is served with jalapeno's.

they are packed at lunch so if you go then get there early. when they are busy don't expect spectacular service but they aren't just lounging around either...they're busy getting food out to everyone.

they also serve beer if you go for dinner but they close at 8 pm. complimentary chips/salsa with all meals.

best mexican place in okc. ok, so i haven't tried them all, but i have tried a lot...and this place is awesome. it was recommended by some friends of ours from mexico wholoveit, as well. it should be on diners, dives and drive thrus. get the especial 3 tacos - it's shredded beef that taste like your mama's pot roast, only spicer. the flavors as so bright. i wish the tortillas were freshly made - my only hangup with a lot of mexican places...having lived in san antone for years. but the food is great, the sauces are delish, the beef is plentiful, the guac is fresh, and they sell glass tall bottles of coke to drink made in mexico! what's not to like?!

great tortas. probably my favorite tortas in the city. the al pastor is so delicious without being suer greasy. if you get the carne asada, it's a giant piece of beef. almost as big as a small person's face. it's kind of a weird location, but right down the street from us, so weloveit.

welovethis place!. this is the only authentic mexican restaurant in okc. the food is absolutely wonderful. i read reviews that complain the food is "too spicy" and so they rate it poorly. i hate to break to to everyone but real mexican food is spicy, just like the food i grew up on. the taco rico place is by far my favorite but for all you out there that enjoy an excellent bowl of menudo, you absolutely must try this dish. but only on saturday and make sure you're early , it goes quickly.

dang i hate to be the only one. okay - i can't handle the heat of the salsa, or the food. the chips were fresh, but the salsa was several steps hotter than most restaurants. we had the taco rico plate, and the flautas combo. the taco rico could have been great, but the jalapeno slices overwhelmed the flavor . the flautas had very little chicken and the tortilla it was wrapped and fried in was doughy. they actually tasted more like a prepackaged product to me than those of other restaurants. the guacamole looked and tasted like it had sour cream in it to stretch the avocados used. the servers were good, and the place was new and clean, except for the toilet paper strewn around in the men's restroom.

i really expected a gem, and was disappointed. others willlovethe food, but i'm still feeling the burn three hours later.
