had dinner there while in queenstown. food was average nogreatchoices been to better buffet dinners. food did not have much flavour and even the bread was really hard (looked like it has been sitting there for days). good choice of drinks not overly prices. paying for window seat plus drink does not make any difference as all tables look to the windows. (but maybe good option during busiest time in the season)  
oversall really disapointed with food.

restaurant is spacious and has got fancy and modern looking ambience. it can accommodate and cater to large no of dinners at one time.

went for lunch and both food and service was spontaneous, sumptuous, simply superb.

they servegreatquality of food and some of the good picks from nz foods and wines.

it does have a bar, cafe and ice cream or dessert parlor separately, which agreatadded feature for tourist availing the gondola and lugging facilities.

stratosfare something different to try. taking a gondola to a restaurant is not that common

nice views of the lights of the city

met by friendly staff,we were lead to the buffet and explained that we can order like mussel pots. staff weregreatthroughout the night,even taking photos for us and moving us to a better lighting area to take the photos

i think it's easier to say,if i went back what would i get again

yes:
seafood chowder: lots of seafood and a little bit too cheesy but i could just have this all night and be happy

freshly made pancakes,so nice even without adding anything to it

pork: it's the light mustard sauce that makes this good

potato and kumara: just yum!

the multi coloured dessert,don't know what it is but had lime green on top,it was a lot better than i expected

all the different fishes available were good

undecided: the lamb chops,they were ok but weren't that warm

the various noodles they have,chicken kebab stick

the stuff that came from a can (vine leaves) or from a asian grocery store (the chinese dumplings) and the sushi (way too much rice in each piece)

the chocolate mousse was too sweet

the lamington you can get anywhere

the roast chicken,though i liked the crispy skin of the chicken i felt like i could eat this anywhere

the mussel pots are a no! one was tasteless and the other tasted funny


still it's one of the best buffets i've had

restaurants ambience and location is immaculate, gives an aesthetic view of the entire rotorua city.

dining for ambience is good however food quality, choices and display has moderate.

our first time there. such a beautiful place to dine . food are so delicious and the best of the best is the location and the staff members are so friendly and helpful. they all beautiful people working together to run and keep the business going. well done guys. special thanks to the manager in charge the saturday night for offering us a birthday cake and a card . omg these are the real business people. thank you so so much for yourgreathospitality. well done and keep it up. people if you travel to rotorua for anything dnt forget to go there. such a beautiful place to celebrate your birthday or hang out with friends and families. the food are so delicious and fresh . place is beautiful and clean. best of the best.

just after finishing up with the luge rides, we entered in to relax a bit & the cosy place inside with amazing views made us spend time & to order a few things to eat. the gourmet veg soup was good alongwith a veg salad. all in all agreatatmosphere at stratosfare.

what an amazing spot to enjoy the expansive and wondrous views of queenstown!! it is a short gondola ride up the mountain to experience this restaurant, and it is well worth it purely for the atmosphere! the dessert bar was absolutely fantastic, i could not fault it! so too were the cocktails, they really packed a punch! but the savoury food stations were very hit and miss for me. a lot of it, for me, either had too much salt or was a bit dry. 

the service was amazing though, with the waiters being really friendly and prompt with any requests. overall, it was agreatexperience that i would definitely recommend to experience when in queenstown!

we had my mum's 50th up here and it was great! views are amazing! price for the buffet includes the gondola ride up and a free drink (including cocktails) so i thought it wasgreatvalue. heaps of vegetarian options and everything was pretty yum! didn't love the desserts, probably the only downfall. staff were excellent

pro:greatview if you get a table close to the window. the staff members are friendly and prompt.

con: food are plain and below average, couldn’t find anything decent at the buffet, even as a hungry man. the noodle soup tastes like chlorinated pool water.
too many people, long queues, loud conversations and r&b music was quite annoying.

i went there last month, i booked for dinner, but i had a table in the middle of the restaurant so i couldn’t see the view. but the foods, drinks and desserts were delicious, i would recommend for lunch maybe you could get agreatview there.

the fanciest restaurant in rotorua with awesome view and perfect for a romantic date night! there is a free gondola ride to reach the restaurant at the top. 

amazing buffet withgreatvariety including veg options. loved the desserts section.

outstanding service - they even surprised us with a cake and a card, as they got to know that we were celebrating our first anniversary. 

definitely recommended to celebrate a special occasion.

p.s. we couldn't enjoy the view as it was raining the full day but still it was great.

very nice place with a beautiful view overlooking rotorua, while eating good food from theirgreatselections of buffet food. they have a meat station, salad and seafood station, asian station, a wonderful dessert station that has one of the best pavlovas. perfect place to end the day while on holiday. enjoyed every moment of it, it was worth the penny's. our host waitress was very nice and staff were polite.

anyone visiting rotorua/ for special occasions this is definitely your go to restaurant! no better way to start a buffet then with a scenic gondola ride up to the restaurant. special shout out for their meats especially their lamb cutlets. seafood options were very much average - there were no crabs or oysters available. desserts were to die for, i enjoyed their pavlova and apricot sorbet. i also liked their crepe station. shame there wasn’t a chocolate fountain though.greatalcohol menu variety, i felt it was far more extensive compared to the actual buffet food itself. our waitress chanadda provided excellent attentive and friendly service throughout the night and really brought the score up to the solid 4/5!

loved the view at night, so beautiful.greatrange of food available for a buffet. had the vegetable soup & pork belly with the yummy creme brulee. love the atmosphere as well nice & cosy loey pickery
