service - lady named shannon deserves her dues and bonus. her attention to detail saw that we had an issue online that was fixed due to assessing and managing the situation, we are very lucky thanks to her service. ordered - this is buffet and i tried pretty much everything from, pork, beef, lamb, chicken, butter chicken, fish, shrimps, salads, veges. then came dessert. now i'm no food buff but nearly every dish was the best i have had. the service with smiles meant we were presented with great staff and lucky enough to have been placed next to the window... we will definitely come here again. food, views and service. @limaono

such a great variety of delicious food to choose from (meat, fish, dessert, etc) and such an amazing view. worth the cost. very similar to its queenstown counterpart.

anyone who is currently in queenstown should try this place out! not only the view is spectacular but the food were really nice too. a huge selection of food are displayed very nicely and presented beautifully. they provide dishes for vegetarians, for all the meat lovers, they also have seafood section, sushi and salad bar and for those with sweet tooth. my favourite would be the dessert station. the creme brulee was too die for!! if only i have huge stomach capacity, i would just have the brulee all day long! thanks again and hopefully will be back when we are in the area :)

the good side is it had selected salamis, prawn cocktails, sashimis like salmon, king fish and mussels provided, but the hot foods were really just so so... but well, the view up there was awesome, especially when you join the dinner starts from 8:15pm, you may enjoy the whole sunset during your meal.

we went to this place on thursday around 1 pm for lunch during our holidays. we had the combo including the gondola and lunch total $120,00. the landscape on this place is very scenic as you can guess once you are on the top of queenstown city. food is served as a buffet and it's alright if you are feeling hungry and just want to fill up your stomach (pretty average quality). when it comes to the desserts, these are quite good and in a good variety, so i would recommend to try some of them. the service on this place is definitely really bad. we ordered some drinks from one of the waitresses and she never came to our table. then we had to stand up and place the same order again to another waitress. after 15 minutes waiting and after we finished our lunch she came up with drinks and apologised for the delay.

i would describe our experience on this place in 4 sentences. amazing view, average food quality, good desserts and poor services.

absolutely blown away by this place. went up the gondola for the view and paid the extra $23 for the buffet lunch. certainly was not disappointed!! this buffet had everything you'd want to go along with the stunning views. sushi, mussels, curry, hot meats, salads - you name they had it. desserts were also a treat - pavlova, creme brûlée, tiramisu. definitely worth it!

we loved this restaurant.  perhaps it was because we had been travelling around for 4 weeks in a motorhome cooking and preparing all our own meals. perhaps we were hungry. perhaps it was because the food was so well presented. perhaps it was because it was such great value for money.  perhaps it was because the staff were so helpful and friendly and welcoming. perhaps it was because we tasted everything and i mean everything.  you certainly can't complain because if you go home from here hungry it is your own fault.  there is sooooo much to choose from.  i wish we lived closer instead of in australia as i would probably visit often so maybe that is a good thing otherwise i might be the size of a house if i regularly ate as much as i did this night.  thank you for a memorable time.  my favourite was the seafood chowder and the creme' brulee.

one of the best view any restaurant can offer! we sat by the window and absolutely loved the entire experience here. came for the lunch buffet and there was a good variety of cuisines and desserts. a must do when you visit qt alongside the gondola + luge. the scenery from up here is a must see!

was pretty excited to dine here during our stay in rotorua. loved the gondola trip up. good customer service.

the variety of food for the buffet was average. not a hue range but the desserts range wasn't too bad! loved their range of ice creams and sorbet available. they had crêpes but nothing to go with it besides sauces (chocolate, maple syrup, passion fruit etc) like no fruits or anything. were we meant to just eat the crêpe on its own??

would be nice if they had more warm/hot food especially on a cold winters night.

this was, unfortunately, the biggest disappointment of my trip to rotorua. we had heard good things about this place, and it had extremely high ratings on tripadvisor. the pictures on its website were stunning, and the menus made your mouth water. but the reality did not nearly live up to the expectations.

last week my partner and i decided to dine here for dinner. we chose the buffet dinner that included a gondola ride to the restaurant (which is situated at higher grounds of the mountain). the restaurant offered a selection of hot and cold food ranging from mediterranean, middle eastern, asian, etc. i liked how there was a variety of meat (chicken, beef, lamb, venison, fish) that we were able to select and have cooked right in front of us. i was a bit disappointed with the middle eastern selection... i was super excited to see they had dolma and falafel which are two of my favourite dishes. however, both were dry and not nice to eat.

the dessert area demonstrated a good selection of sweets/patisserie/cheese and crackers - everything looked appealing!
i would have loved to come here in the afternoon to get a glimpse of the amazing view during sunset - unfortunately we arrived at night!

in summary, i think this place is good for dining if you're visiting from an outside town - especially if you're on holiday! ☺️☺️

so bad, we went for the stargazing and dinner combo the food selection was really nicely presented and looked amazing but literally everything was bland..? didn't finish anything i served except the caesar salad which was the nicest thing, seafood was chewy, salmon fillets were tasteless. same thing with the desserts all looked amazing but pretty average taste. so disappointed! :(
