best beeftacosin town!!! always great service and the salsa is great! no cutting corners here. if you like a torta, this is the place! my husband and i go at least 3 times a month.

great delivery!!. i was staying at the howard johnson's and ordered in for dinner, because i wanted to continue working. the food i ordered was delivered in less time than i was quoted and the delivery man was very nice and polite. the food; shrimp tacos, steaktacoschips, salsa, and guacamole were fresh and delicious. there was a generous serving of meat on thetacosand i was also impressed the the obvious care that was taken to prepare and present the food. the fresh limes were the perfect touch. i also was tickled with the smiley faces on top of the guacamole. i wish i lived closer so i could order this more often!!!

so good.. this is, hands down, my favorite mexican joint in town. the fishtacosare divine, the fajitas are beautifully seasoned, and the house margarita will kick your a** if you aren't careful. the wait staff is diligent and very helpful. also, it's got athens-quirky gas station ambiance. i love it.

you will not be disappointed! i'm not a big mexican food connoisseur but i am pretty picky and everything was to die for! i had carnitas and barbacoatacosand a carnitas burrito. simply delicious.

might be the best mexican in athens. thetacosand tortas are great, as are the huevos rancheros, but the camarones ala chipotle is the stand out dish on the menu.

good, but not up to the hype. sr. sol is ranked the #1 mexican restaurant in athens, and while it was good, i'm puzzled as to why it is the best.

last night my girlfriend stopped by to see what all the fuss was about, and i left a little disappointed. don't get me wrong - the food was very good. eating at a legitimate place like sr. sol makes you truly question why you ever go to taco bell.

oh, you can get a stale taco with shredded iceburg at taco bell for $2?
i got a real carne asada steak taco at sr. sol for $2 as well.

as far as prices goes. sr. sol wasn't terrible.
the cheese dip was a tad expensive - $5 - and it was by no means better than anything you'd get at willies or moe's.

all in all, the food is good. but it isn't the best. it doesn't merit #1.

the queso was good, but it's better at willies on alps.
thetacoswere good, but they're better at cali and titos.
the gordita was good, but they're better at the j&j's flea market. (no joke - if you ever go to j&j's, they have a little mexican food stand. buy a gordita. be sure to grab a napkin for your drool.)

summary - good place. not worth the #1 in athens.

impressed. i had heard from a friend that this was the best mexican food she had had since moving here from texas. i wasn't expecting too much as it was in a gas station parking lot, but i was so impressed with the food and the service. their guacamole was so fresh, the chips right out of the fryer, and thetacosand quesadillas were great. i also liked their salsa and tomatilla sauce! i give them 2 thumbs up and will be back to feast again!
