was really looking forward to eating here after reading the reviews and seeing that they hadfishtacos! unfortunately they were nothing to rave about and tasted quite bland. my partner ordered a burger which tasted good but was so greasey. the waffle fries tasted quite stale as well but i'm not a regular eating waffle fries so maybe that's how they were meant to taste. overall, the restaurant is nice in that it over looks the ocean however the food isn't something i'd come back for.

the restaurant is on the second floor of a building like a large balcony so while you feel like you are sitting outside you have a roof above. the menu has lots of tropical drink options. i accidentally ordered a pineapple mai tai. it was served in a hollowed out pineapple and it was delicious. i ordered the captain's plater so i got garlic shrimp, a piece of ono like what is served with an order offishand chips and a crab cakes. this was a fun option since i wanted to taste multiple items. our server was attentive and handled our party of six with ease.

mixed review. i'm not sure if this is a like or dislike. i ordered thefishtacos, which were delicious and everyone in our group of 4 said the same about their orders. however, the service was sloooooooow.

fish tacos. this place is so booty. i raged on thefishtacos and was like "whapap!" these are the two bestfishtacos i've ever eaten. *get them w/ the avocado ...if thefishtacos weren't enough already, they offer waffle fries. best..place..ever.

we were in waikoloa for vacation & drove into kailua to sight see. a local recommended splashers to us for breakfast. we actually went there for lunch. it was a really good choice. i had thefishtacos & my bf hadfish& chips. we found out after-the-fact, that they were known for their burgers. i would say that the restaurant was good, especially for that part of ali'i dr, but not the best in the area. def better than tantra down the street. the big island grill is on the street behind there. i've heard that it's a little bit more authentic. still not a bad choice, though. it's across from the water with open-air seating.

badfishand calamri. the calamri was tender but tastless and the breading was cheap tasting. thefishwas breaded the same way but was very dry and tasteless. not worth $18 for a small plate offishand calamri. our waitress seemed distracted and overwhelmed. bad service. i'm a server at zion national park and this restaurant was not busy, i don't understand why it took her so long to take care of us.

must go!!. best place in kona. i travel there for work, and have been to most of the restaurants. now i typically just eat there. stuffed french toast is amazing. orfishand eggs if you want healthier.fishtacos that aren't deep fried and and incredible salad dressings. great views as well.

have the burger. i ordered the tacos based on the reviews here and was disappointed, but everyone in my large group loved their burgers. somehow they made a grilledfishtaco that was soggy, it was unfortunate because i suspect it was a nice piece of fish. the onion rings however were awesome, a plus. also, great value for the price, huge portions! couldn't beat the view either.

thefishtacos were amazing!! very friendly staff! we also enjoyed the jalapeño burger and onion rings! looks like a dive but it has a great view! a winner for us!

casual fun ocean front dining. what a great find, wonderful food, great proportions, super friendly service. menu has a variety of choices. my personal favorite is the stuffed french toast drizzled with coconut syrup, and the batter fried localfishfor lunch. onion rings are to die for. what a great place.
