splashers grill‎

not many kitchens are open past 9 pm and luckily splashers grill closes late! in the mood for cocktails, we ordered the lava flow and hi shoreline to start. lava flow which was basically piña colada with strawberry (lava) and was really refreshing. as it was a late dinner, i ordered something light which was the salad and soup combo which was caesar salad and seafood chowder. the chowder was as good as the one o had at san francisco and came with oyster crackers. it was such good portion and great value at $9.99! my partner ordered the captain platter and chose onion rings and fried rice as his sides. it was really tasty and nicely done! highly recommend this place.

fish tacos were delicious! one of my favorite meals of the whole hawaii trip.

the breakfast was delicious. i had the chargrilled ribeye/eggs and my bro had bacon/eggs and it was all hoops. i'll try the kona omelette next time or the breakfast burritto.

our server, greg was wonderful. food was good, view was fabulous and service was fantastic.

service bad. was not a busy time. i was seated and sat there for 10 minutes. waitresses walked by. no one even acknowledged me. i walked out.

horrible! half of the dishes brought to our table were dirty. food stuck to the insides of the water glasses, plates grimy. my daughter found a dead bug in her macaroni. we decided to leave a few minutes later. in our haste, we mistakenly forgot to put our masks back on as we exited the restaurant. as we were passing by, one of the employees quite rudely scolded us for not wearing them. after my family got to the parking lot, i went back and let the employee know about our unfortunate dining experience. he dismissed me by saying "yeah ok thank you!". i also informed him that i had photos and would be leaving a negative review, to which i received the same dismissive response.owner reached out to me and asked me to email him to get the issue resolved so i did. he then blocked me from commenting on the facebook page and never replied to my email. disappointing but not surprising after the experience we had there.

the food was good. good location too. small dining area though so big groups could be packed in there. service was really good and friendly.

was really looking forward to eating here after reading the reviews and seeing that they had fish tacos! unfortunately they were nothing to rave about and tasted quite bland. my partner ordered a burger which tasted good but was so greasey. the waffle fries tasted quite stale as well but i'm not a regular eating waffle fries so maybe that's how they were meant to taste. overall, the restaurant is nice in that it over looks the ocean however the food isn't something i'd come back for.

the restaurant is on the second floor of a building like a large balcony so while you feel like you are sitting outside you have a roof above. the menu has lots of tropical drink options. i accidentally ordered a pineapple mai tai. it was served in a hollowed out pineapple and it was delicious. i ordered the captain's plater so i got garlic shrimp, a piece of ono like what is served with an order of fish and chips and a crab cakes. this was a fun option since i wanted to taste multiple items. our server was attentive and handled our party of six with ease.

one of the famous places in kona. it got recommended by our hotel so we went there for breakfast. portions are very generous so if you're not a big eater, worth sharing with a salad.
staff is very friendly and restaurant has a nice view.

great location but barely edible food. waffle fries were not fresh during peak dinner time. we were also denied happy hour prices even though we put our drink order in a few minutes before 6

nice relaxed beach hut atmosphere, for breakfast i got a loco moco (egg, beef pattie, rice and gravy) which is a local meal - very filling and full of carbs but really nice and fills you up for a long hike. friendly service too. worth checking out.

it was all fine. blackened hebi was quite tasty; avocado and swiss burger with waffle fries pleased my daughter. chicken sandwich was fine. service was pleasant. view was nice. it was all fine, but nothing knocked out socks off.

excellent food. excellent service.  upstairs restaurant near the main drag of kailua kona near the sea wall.  parking can be limited near the place, but there are several lots close by.  great place for live music.  relaxed and casual ambiance.  server fully accommodated my food allergies to dairy and gluten.  very happy!

upstairs and a great spot - food was brilliant i had the ribs and chicken an some of the best i have had.. great cold beers, service was slow, poor girl under the pump..all in all loved it.
