we were over from melbourne and met our friend there who lives in sydney. the wait is about 20 minutes which is a pain. however once we got in we found the menu extensive and authentic with the prices very reasonable. the decor inside is very high quality.

food were very delicious but the service wasn't . first time ever in sydney, when we almost finished the meal,a skinny man hurried us and ask us to leave, and my friend just went to the bathroom, the staff took his chair without ask.very rude

my wife loves this one. for me, maybe because i had too many sichuan foods before and am a bit picky, it is not surprisingly good. but i still rate it 5-star as the foods are well prepared. flavours of the dishes are not only correct but excellent, which is very difficult for some small restaurants. environment and services here are decent.

if you like spicy food, this is a place you have to go. the place is big and comfortable. most of the food are yummy i would highly recommend water boiled fish and corn biscuit. you had better make the booking or else you will be waiting in a long queue.

authentic sichuan food, beautiful and cozy interior decorations, and the price is not that expensive. but the queue is too long, i waited for more than half an hour!

very popular sichuan chinese restaurant in chinatown, the dishes are very well portioned and although spicy, not overpowering where you can’t taste the food. lots of options on the menu too.

great atmosphere, brisk service, and most importantly, suitably spicy food that does not overwhelm those of us who did not grow up eating chillies every day.

really loved this place. the price is decent but if you love sichuan spicy food, this is the place to go. the resturant's interior looks quite fancy as well. we went there around 5:30 pm to avoid the crowd. we ordered 4 dishes and a drink and loved all the flavors (spicy but tasty and tolerable). pork trotters and the glass noodles were the best. would definitely come back for another pigging out...very soon!

used to be the best sichuan restaurant in sydney. however, the flavor had flopped dramatically after the first year. would not recommend here for casual dinning.

the best sichuan food i’ve had outside of china. there’s a reason people queue to grab a spot at this joint. the food is spicy but just the right amount— addicting!

food: 5/5
we ordered 6 dishes (pictured, but i forgot the official names) and were pleasantly surprised with the flavours. the chicken looked really greasy at first but the spice helped cut the oil — not to mention the meat was extremely tender. the cold noodles were my favourite as they were a good combination of sour, sweet, and spicy. would definitely come again. recommend 10/10

service: 4/5
the service was adequate and i didn’t feel like i was waiting too long or that i was getting bad service. however, i would give this place a 4 instead of a 5 because of the following reason— when you queue, you’re given a number on a piece of paper. you will then notice that the person calling out the humber only speaks in chinese. thankfully, i understand chinese so i was able to recognise when my number was being called. non-chinese speakers just a psa: study up on your chinese numbers or maybe ask for assistance when you go.

ambience: 5/5
the interior is very modern and spacious. the design of the restaurant definitely elevated the whole dining experience. they keep the areas fairly clean which is a plus!

just a tip for people who are visiting for the first time— in order to get to the restaurant, you will need to ride an escalator up one floor.

cloudy cheese was such a surprising surprise, not too sweet and tastes creamy, the cloud was created by dry ice in water. nice touch! other dishes were fairly standard sichuan hot dishes and they were not bad. fish was very fresh! the place handles birthday cake very well, the wait stuff helped us to clear the table and enjoy some byo bd cake! i would give them 4 but my issue is i have stomachache every time after eating here.😰 xihuahua 🐶 is low-key training me to eat spicy food i think.🤔

dopending on time and day you can wait a long time, but i think its worth the wait. i love this place the ambience is great and theres so much space for you to sit! theres also staff in each section so you usally dont have to call for waiters or wait till ones available which is nice.
the food is great i always get the chicken i love it!
even though it is spicy it taste great, the spicy wontons and dan dan noodles is small portioned is great! but been here many times and will continue to come!

did not expect this place to be so busy on a wednesday night. got there at 6:40 and had to wait around 40 minutes for a table. food came very quickly after we ordered. worth the wait. food was really tasty and good value for money. will come back with a bigger group to try more dishes.

i ordered this spicy deep fried chicken because it is a signature dish from sichuan/chongqing. it ended up with absolutely disappointment. we are here not discussing cooking style and but chef’s dignity and food safety. the entire dish was cooked with re-used oil. you can taste every single piece of chicken with basa flavour. you can image how they were filtering those used oil from another dish then used on your dish with all those gems and bacteria.....i just did not finish it and walked away looking those long queue. terrible....!!!!!

food in general excellent: 4/5
service:2/5

i ordered a oil cooked fish, flavours were excellent, the oil coated the fish was fragrant and somehow it does not feel oily when eaten.

the duck blood was fragrant and does not taste ironny at all. very clean flavours.

ordered the pork with salted vege. pork was nicely cooked however, the taste of it was normal that i could expect from a cheap china joint where it tasted too salty, this is because they didnt control the cooking time with the preserved vegetables.

i ordered the steam double yogurt and sticky rice with sugar syrup and it looked great but tasted normal.

the one thing that made me give a mediocre rating was the service. the waitress that took our order spoke too softly when repeating our order and seem to not care. then she added in an extra item where we did not write it down in the ordering paper. the decor is beautiful but on the day we ate, the place was too hot and humid and really made it annoying
