went for a cocktail on a sunny evening during the week.

the room is beautiful, bright and airy with huge windows offeringviewsover the city. initially we took a seat in the terrace but theviewsare better in the bar

the staff are friendly and efficient- the cocktails are a little on the pricy side and i would say, not quite as good as some of the other cocktail bars in the city,

still worth a visit though!

would highly recommend this restaurant-between the stunningviewsof the city and the delicious pizza you really can't go wrong.
i visited sophie's for a monday lunch, it wasn't too busy and the service was prompt.
i ordered the chorizo and sun-dried tomato pizza which was very very good. i can't wait to visit again!!

incredibleviewsover dublin in a modern setting. great warehouse style open-plan restaurant with the chefs and barmen on view working away. impressive range of breakfast options. staff were kind enough to oblige adding some decadence to the already decadent french toast. went down a treat with some ice cream on the side. lovely, pulpy orange juice. delicious!

if i'm being honest i'd never heard of this little treasure before last tuesday but i hear it's been open since late 2015.

the dining room is beautifully designed, comfortable but sleek, set on the fifth floor of the dean hotel with panoramicviewsover dublin city.

the maitre d' was brilliant and very accommodating to our three adults, three babies group.

the food choices themselves were refreshing with some really interesting combinations. poached hens egg, polenta and basil hollandaise for one. i, myself had the chicken and chorizo pappardelle with spring onions. it was deliciously creamy with a little hum of spice.

the dessert i chose was the panna cotta which was lacking in depth of flavour and wasn't quite as creamy as i hoped but the honeycomb on top was a smart addition.

with such a calming ambience and delicious food it really is a wonderful spot for a proper lunch out.

you can't deny that the atmosphere in sophie's is fantastic. theviewsof dublin city are stunning. we visited here on a sunny sunday for brunch. i was left feeling slightly under whelmed. i ordered the rotisserie chicken with slaw and fries. the coleslaw was clearly shop bought. we had a fruit bowl on the side, which consisted of one blueberry, one raspberry and a whole lot of melon. disappointing. in future, i will just go to sophie's for cocktails and steer clear from the food menu.

amazing place for brunch on a sunday. we tried to book a table but it was fully booked but were told to come in as they have long tables with high stools for walk in. when we arrived we were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome from hostess . we ordered freshly squeezed orange juice and were presented with the menu. i order the buttermilk pancakes with whipped orange butter and it was divine. my friend ordered eggs florentine and he was very happy with his choice. we finished off with two coffees and a passion fruit, strawberry and double cream eton mess which was a great finish to a great brunch. prices are very reasonable, staff are very friendly and efficient and the place is amazing with greatviewsof dublin. i am looking forward to my next vist. i so recommend this place and i guarantee you won't be disappointed.

came here last weekend to celebrate an anniversary and luckily the weather provided some superbviewsof dublin from the rooftop bar! the layout and seating arrangement in the rooftop bar is nice and spacious and creates a great atmosphere as you can have a good look around at everything that's going on!unfortunately got seated right under the speaker so that was a little irritating... the menu was unsurprising but still offered a good variety. we both ordered the ginger/carrot juice which was so refreshing and tasty. food wise i choose the huevos rancheros with eggs, chorizo, pinto beans and guac, i also ordered the crispy baby potatoes (couldn't resist!). everything was delicious, the dish was very well present in a skillet and super filling for a brunch meal. my boyfriend order the full irish which also looked delish. overall the food was great, speedy friendly service and great value. next visit will hopefully be back for some cocktails!

i adore sophies for a drink and a chat with friends, however i feel it really falls short on food.
having popped in a good few times for drinks, i decided to head in for dinner. i had read so much about sophies and went in with such high expectations, that was my first mistake.
while theviewsand atmosphere are like no other, the food wasn't what i expected from such a venue.
we ordered the italian antipasti board to start. it was nice but nothing you could find in any italian in dublin. although an antipasti board is and antipasti board anywhere you go.
for mains, i tried the pizza as i had heard so much about them and himself tried the steak. two very simple dishes that are very hard to get wrong.
when they arrived the steak was more blue than a medium rare, they quickly rectified this however upon its return it was still very much on the rare side. as we were hungry we didn't ask again. my pizza was unfortunately a little soggy in the middle, definitely not what you want in a pizza. even the taste was very average and not the high standard i had been made believe was there.

i've given it 3.5 purely because of the atmosphere and the venue for drinks out. i will definitely be heading back for a night out with friends or a couples drinks pre dinner, however i will leave the food next time. so disappointing.

one of my favourite places to hang out. the bar is amazing and the almost 360 degreeviewsare just wonderful, specially if you get to catch a sunset. the cocktails and mocktails are fab but for me the pizza here wins each time. they have a wood fire oven and the pizza chefs work super fast and it is fun seeing them all work so quick. great thin base pizza with creative toppings. all cooked to perfection in minutes.

decided to try breakfast at sophie's, having only come for drinks before. theviewsare fab, tables are comfortable and the service is friendly and efficient. we tried the huevos rancheros and scrambled eggs with toast, tomatoes and beans. both excellent, as was the coffee. haven't tried lunch or dinner yet but would definitely recommend for breakfast.

i was treated to a work lunch at the relatively new and much talked about sophie's on the top floor of the dean hotel.

a previous visit (around christmas 2014) left me not overly impressed so i admit upfront i wasn't overly enthusiastic with my workmates choice of restaurant.

no doubt there is a massive novelty factor in taking the lift to the top floor and experiencing the exceptional panoramicviewsof dublin city. for a friday the restaurant was quiet enough and it was clear from glancing around at the other diners that it is the restaurant of choice for business lunches.

the tables are mostly booth style which i liked as there is an element of privacy and it is also nice and spacious even for larger groups. as you enter you walk by the bustling kitchen and can see the chefs at work.

our server ciara was absolutely brilliant (my issues with my previous visit centred mainly around the skills of the staff). ciara was polite and on point at all times - noticing the little details and checking in throughout our meal without ever being intrusive. service was prompt and efficient.

i had the chicken with pappardelle and spring onion. most colleagues went for the same with some opting for the beef. sophie's should really consider expanding the descriptions of the dishes on their menu - maybe silly of me but i had no idea there would be lashings of cream all over the chicken. the beef is prepared sous-vide and it would have been good to know things like that before choosing.

given the prime location and beautifulviewsi feel like sophie's should be a top class restaurant but while it is good, it isn't fantastic so to me there is a disconnect between the food/service and the setting. what about a fresh loaf of bread to share or having the water infused with mint or some of the smaller touches that make other restaurants stand out? the finesse or acute attention to detail is what i think is missing here - for example, there was a tub of sea salt on the table and the teapot was noticeably chipped. why use one of those infuser teapots if you're going to put teabags in it?

sophie's is good but has the potential to be great.

went here for a birthday brunch last saturday. their brunch menu is quite limited, consisting mainly of eggs, the usual full irish, steak and chips etc. theviewsfrom the restaurant are wonderful. when our food arrived i was very disappointed, i ordered the egg and tomatoe and rocket. it was the meanest portion id ever seen, two small poached eggs, one tomatoe chopped in half and garnish size rocket, no dressing or anything, we had to ask for balsamic vinegar to give it some flavour. two of the girls poached eggs has hard yokes and were more hard boiled than poached. my friends steak and chips, were also poor, the steak was very fatty.
i've been here for drinks before and it's a fun location but the food was just so below standard last saturday, i wouldn't dine here again!

went here yesterday as a party of eight for a birthday brunch. it was exactly what i expected - greatviewsof dublin, cool interiors and good food and cocktails. i had the steak and eggs which was tasty although the meat was quite fatty. to finish off i shared the brownie which probably was the highlight of my meal and the bacon infused bourbon was also tasty.

everyone seemed really happy their meals and the service was great. i'll definitely return for a visit when the sun is shining to use the outdoor area which looked fab.
