somerville is a long way from thailand but you can still get some great thai. puts many inner city thai restaurants to shame and is much cheaper.

visited the area for a few times and had a chance to pop in this place. i must admit that it was above my expectations. food is stunning. fresh and outstanding.  staff very helpful with recommendations on the menu. will definitely return.

moved to the area not long ago, and heard so many good things about this place..... and they we right, food is sensational! hands down, the best thai i have ever had. i have both dinned in and had takeaway & was absolutely amazing! definitely a favorite :)

we have been a few times after work, its close, great food, we had a fantastic waiter that kept us entertained. food was delicious.
we will go again.

service is terrible. shame, because it's good food..

delicious food - 50/50 staff attitudes. went here for my 21st birthday last night and ordered lots of different food which was all delicious and came out very quickly. the only off putting thing about this place was how varied the competency in staff was. from the girl who served us there was no smiles or any kind of interaction with the table. however another member of staff came along later and asked if i'd like a bucket to put my flowers in for the night to keep them fresh, so that was really thoughtful. we were also overcharged $100 but a member of staff ran out to our car to let us know and gave us a refund. i will be returning because the food outweighs the variance of attitudes in the staff!

death stares from your waitress. tonight we decided that cooking was just too much effort, its sunday why not just go down to the local thai, a place we have been going to for quite a few years now, but can officially say that after tonight's awful service we will not be going back ever again.
the restaurant was relatively empty, but still it took them over 10 minutes to even come over and get a drink order. a young petite blonde waitress with a lot of attitude finally came over to take our order, when we asked for one curries to be medium she looked at us as though we were speaking another language and rolled her eyes. i asked to taste one of the wines on the menu before i committed to a glass but got told that they will only let me taste it if i buy the bottle so i settled with water instead. when the food came out she slammed the meals on the table almost breaking one of the plates and when we said the rice was lukewarm we got another nasty look before she took it back to the kitchen. the whole time we were eating she was giving us nasty looks as if to say "can you hurry up and leave i just want to go home" so i guess from now on we will make the trip to mornington for thai instead

somerville thai. we have been to this restaurant many times over the last 3 years and the food id delicious, the service excellent and fast. every meal is different...not like it is at some restaurants where you get the distinct feeling they make 2 sauces and put that on everything.
it is rare to see a restaurant that is busy even on week nights but it is . despite sometimes having about 80 people at tables, you still get your meal within about 10-15 mins of ordering.

the food was sensational but they need a huge review of their incredibly lazy and incompetent staff !! we had to constantly try and get the attention of the staff who were standing behind the bar doing nothing ,to order drinks .in the end we gave up and drank water ,which we went up and asked for !!!! they lost a huge amount on wine and spirit sales .. and there was only a couple of tables to attend to .. but as i said ,great food !!!!

used to like this place. for a local thai place it was pretty good. something has changed! after being shifted from our table one, and having to ask for wine glasses. then the food came. after 35 minutes, because they forgot us! we went the banquet. entrees ok, soup, sweet but i really enjoyed it.... then that was as good as it got. fatty chicken, cold beef salad, no herbs, no chilli, lettuce mix bought from coles next door. fish was ok, no where near as good as last time. the highlight of my meal was the ice cream! what disgusted me the most was some slob from the kitchen dragging through a stinking wheelie bin, and a trolley to the kitchen. straight past out table, like we want to see that while out for dinner at a restaurant? then 15 minutes later, wheeled it straight back out. here's a crazy idea... wait until your patrons leave, so they don't feel like they are eating at a tip! i won't be returning. this place has lost me for good.

not as good as it used to be!. i have been to this restaurant about 10 times for sit down or take away, bought some takeaway last night & it was not up to the standard i have had every other time i've been there! i'm wondering has it changed hands? the same thing has happened to the fish & chip shop i use in somy! they are not the same anymore will have to look for a new fish & chip shop

i am a thai lover so it was great anticipation that we went to "summie" thai. i regularly order a green curry prawns so i can accurately compare. i can safely say it was exceptional with a world record 10 king prawns. the balance of kafier lime and curry flavour was spot on. at $20 it was very well priced.
the service was pleasant but as mentioned by others , is only occasional.
it's a large restaurant and had 52 seated when we ate so they may have been a bit understaffed.
i'll definitely be back. its right up there with the lighthouse cafe in mcrae and uthong thai in mornington

really loved this place, extremely disappointed at an 1hr 20 minute wait on take away, when told
on phone it would be 35 mins, absolutely terrible system, i'm sure my order was lost!
