snuffer's

awful. thefoodwas terrible. the service was worse. even the bloody mary was bad. once we were sat our server dropped off three menus for four people, we asked for another and never received it. she dropped off plates and napkins 10 min later and still hadn't taken our drink order. she forgot to bring us straws, even though we asked several times and eventually got them from another server. it took more than a half hour to get our appetizers (cheese dip and fried pickles) the dips were awful, the fried pickles were the only edible thing out of our order. about 45 minutes and we still had not received our order. we asked to tab out and she took the card. a manager came out and apologized and assured us ourfoodwould be out next. we said ok, we still wanted thefoodbut we did need to tab out still. when ourfoodfinally arrived the order was incorrect. we were missing salad dressing, an order of fries and gravy. the chicken tenders were nuggets, and thee fries wit them were soaked in grease and it looked like the salt lid fell off when they were salted. the burger was disgusting. i'm not sure if the meat had gone bad or what but i spit it out. the server finally returned with our card but not receipt or anything. we refused to eat any of that garbage and asked to pay for our drinks and apps. the manager comped off everything but the drinks, which was appreciated but he was not apologetic, and seemed pretty angry. we spent two hours in there to go to jack in the box for lunch. just passing through, but i can promise we will never eat at any snuffers again. awful.

it was a family film &foodnight so we swung by after the flick. we've driven by it for years without ever giving it a try so tonight was the night. we share cheese fires followed by burgers and nachos. thefoodwas really good as well as the service, we see a return visit in the future. enjoy!

i have been a loyal fan of snuffer's for almost 20 years, but now i am officially done! my family and i (including our young daughter) went to the rockwall location tonight. we weren't greeted by any staff for 10 minutes after we sat down (even then, it wasn't our waiter who greeted us). then, our waiter finally came to take our appetizer order and disappeared for 20 more minutes. after many unsuccessful attempts by us to flag him down, he finally took our meal order 30 minutes into our visit. even after we complained to him about the service, he still checked in on us only minimally and refilled our drinks only once after we, once again, flagged him down and requested refills. after an hour and 5 minutes, we finally just asked them to cancel our orders so that we could pay for what we had and leave. all of a sudden, ourfoodmagically appeared before us. imagine that! however, my salad lacked most of the toppings i know it comes with and didn't come with the ranch dressing i ordered. did i mention that my order was just a soup and salad, my husband's was a sandwich, and my daughter's was mini corn dogs that i'm sure they just throw in the microwave? why on earth would that take over 30 minutes to cook? the restaurant was not crowded at all. thankfully for us, the manager did comp our meal. we hightailed it out of there as quickly as possible and will never return!

try the.... cheese fries! tried a big serving of cheese fries after a strong recommendation from my gf and wow, the bested outback steakhouse's cheesefries by just a tad. i really enjoyed how they did not load on the toppings because, more times than not, that seems to make the fries soggy - and who wants soggy fries??

the burger was also very good, went with a bacon cheeseburger. it was just one dang good burger and would highly recommend.

great place to go if you are looking to splurge on a bit offoodat a very reasonable cost. service was also good, clean restaurant as well. would definitely go back and earned a "like" from me.

addison snuffer's is better of the snuffer's. i highly recommend snuffer's, but as much as i want to, i can't say they're the best.

there is no doubt in my mind that this would be my favorite burger joint in texas if it weren't for their inconsistency. when the burgers are done and seasoned right, they can't be beat! the problem is that i feel like it's done right only 60% of the time. therefore, it can be beat 40% of the time.

but let me tell you, when they get it right, they get it right! this grease factory is dangerously good. i recommend a simple cheese burger. i also advise getting it without lettuce. their lettuce is chopped very finely, making the burgers quite messy and difficult to handle. my burger of choice is the cheddar burger, mayo only, medium. and as anyone from the dfw area that has been to snuffer's will tell you, get the cheese fries. unlike most eateries, the cheese is not only on top of the fries, rather it is heavily interwoven all throughout the potato-laden structure. nicely executed (when they're not over-cooked).

i haven't been to all the snuffer's locations, probably just 6 of them. but the one in addison is my favorite of the small chain. thefoodmatches the environment there, whereas the newer ones seem too nice inside -but by no means classy. they're just not as genuine and classic as the older dwellings.
