great experience. the she-crab soup here is really creamy and full of chunks of crab meat. i'd never had she-crab soup ever, but smithfield inn has made me a fan. the pork belly spring rolls are a great appetizer too and the carolina mopping sauce goes very well with them. the onion rings may be the best i've ever had anywhere. the onion inside was so fresh and crispy and perfectly breaded. the truffled french fries were unique and made me wonder why all french fries aren't done this way. i completely recommend the turkey monte cristo. i went here for lunch recently and sat underneath the covered seating area outside so i could watch and listen to the thunderstorms. my party was the only one sitting outside and the inn was even setting up for an outside event later so it wasniceof them to oblige my request to sit outside. john was an excellent waiter. i can't wait to go back and try some other things on the menu.
