skyline chili

this is truly the best of the best.locationis a classic night haunt.

i love cincinnati style (greek) chili and skyline is my second favorite after gold star, a relative latecomer to the scene. or is blue ash chili my favorite? i'm really not sure. but skyline is near the top of my list and the cliftonlocationis the spiritual center of the skyline universe.

the place. the bestlocationfor skyline chili. heck, the bestlocationfor cincinnati chili, period. love the 5-way and cheese coneys.

how can you not like skyline?. it's always the same and it's always delicious! thislocationis special because it's across the street from the bar and if you go in there at the right time everyone will either be drunk or stoned. this adds to the ambiance! you will be sorry the day after when it's potty time because you thought you needed that extra coney!

a clifton landmark. this skylinelocationis the defining college restaurant for uc. droves of inebriated college youths flock here every night. most of the food here is cooked by steam and it gets to the point where it is so steamy in here at night that the windows are fogged up and you can't see through them.

also, to agree with another poster, something is different about this particular skyline. this is the skyline to go to if you want it done right. if you are showing an out-of-towner cincinnati chili for the first time, this is the place you want to go.

it could also be that most of the people who go here are drunk and their judgment of the food is affected. or that it is the busiest skyline i've ever been to and so the food is coming out faster and is fresher than at other locations. either way, thislocationgets my vote for the best skyline in the whole chain.

great food!. it's something about thislocationthat makes this chili great!

the best of the line!. i swear the chili here tastes different (better) than the other outlets. perhaps the chili pots are older and more seasoned or it's the college memories but this is my favorite skyline. also one of the more unique locations with a great view of the bustling clifton/ludlow intersection and the fountain. and of course the onlylocation(that i know of) open until 3 am on the weekends. enjoy!
