visited this evening to celebrate a birthday dinner.
had mixed experience which i would frankly share without any hard feelings.

firstly ordered cream of broccoli soup(2nos. split into 3 serving) with golden crispy corn salt n pepper(2 portions).

- soup's consistency, flavour, taste was simply awesome and reached the soul. it was searved in kulhad which may be giving a desi theme but to be frank it was not going with the dish and theme. this would have been worked with your urban chulha theme a floor down of this lounge. another thing was the quantity which was a bit less than usuallyservedin a split order due to the serving vessel used as kulhad has its own quantitative restriction.

- golden crispy corn salt n pepper was excellent from all angles. may it be the taste, crispiness (even after a while it was not at all soggy), quantity everything was super awesome.

secondly ordered veg. hakka noodle (1 portion) & cottage cheese in schezwan sauce (1 portion)

- hakka noodle's taste was just perfect and heart touching. again the same issue which dissapointed was the quantity. i requested the chef how much noodle has been used where i quoted around half packet of noodle have been used upon which he interrupted me and said even less than half packet has been used. i would love to share that oriental chinese cuisine is always famous for offering hefty quantity of food portions andservedin big bowls and neverservedin fine dine quantities asservedmostly in european continental cuisine. chinese culture is to please the heart and belly with happiness and quantity of food served. i would strongly request to increase the portion quantity without change of rates as inr 165+taxes is reasonable if heartfelt quantity isservedspecially for oriental cuisine. continental food i have had earlier over here and the serving size is as per european standards so no issues with that.

- cottage cheese in schezwan sauce came to us with semi gravy accompanying as a main course whereas we ordered for the same from oriental appetizer category in their presented menu. we mentioned this to the waiter who completely got confused and presented wrong kot to chef. chef expressed this error and rectified it upon request. regarding the taste i was not very happy about the schezwan base. the flavour was having a pungent smell and was also lacking a bit more of garlic. as expressed by chef the same is prepared using readymade schezwan culinary sauce available in market and has not been composed inside kitchen which means a sauce conjugated with usage of industrial preservatives have been put in the dish. i humbly request the executive sous chef to revamp these things and follow haccp guidelines along with using sauce reductions prepared inside kitchen and not play around with health of eaters. oh yes noto to be looped off the cottage cheese (paneer) used was a bjt stinky and not so fresh. a mouldy pungent smell (which we were expressing as a weird fishy smell to the chef) was pretty evident and even after few corrections in the dish the same was still present. this quality control is super important and should not be compromise at any level.

i have clearly had a word with mr. sooraj whom i very well know when he used to work with ksar hospitality at greek food & beyond restaurant @db mall and expressed all these views which i have shared above.

i really look forward to revisit but i also requst to change and correct these error which we have faced.

this is all as of now and i strongly encourage all foodies to please do visit this place and share your true experiences.

never judge a book by its cover. the same way, never judge a place just by its fancy interiors.
i'm not even going to lie but my past experiences with hotel atishay's urban chulha, have been really disappointing. after the incident i got 2-3 calls from the management when they got to know about me. i never turned up on that invite but i thought i will visit again (like i always do without informing the management about it). recently, their rooftop restaurant, sky 55 was hosting sizzler festival. i had been craving for sizzlers from a really long time and so i thought to give it a try. went on a sunday, crowded place but the beautiful ambience made me forget all the other things. asked for mocktails and they had only virgin mojito. lemme tell you all, this was one of the most saddest mojito i had this year. it was spriteservedwith a garnishing of mint. no crushed ice? (some joke was played on me by the bar tender)
coming to the food, had a glance at the menu and was fantasised by it. thought to order samble oelek nutrela oriental dumplings and therefore asked the jr. manager about the dumplings if they were fried or steamed. he informed they will be fried and will beservedwith some kind of gravy. while when it arrived it was nothing more than steamed dumplings filled with soya granules on a sizzler plate. tasted sad. second came in the eight treasures with chilli garlic fried rice, which had baby corn, broccoli, bell peppers, capsicum, mushrooms in white garlic sauceservedwith chilli garlic fried rice. this one tasted awful. there is a huge line of difference when it comes to being spicy because of red chilli powder and chinese peppers with garlic. both are different. it was an indianised version of some chinese "khichdi" what they made. the vegetables were raw. merely serving it just for sake of it is not acceptable. i was highly disappointed again. my whole family was annoyed because they were just not ready to make a visit to the place after past bad experiences but, i somehow convinced them to give it another chance.
the senior manager came to our table seeing us disappointed and was apologetic about the slow service and the food. wish would have gone to any other place at least they would have guaranteed me good food worth my money. i don't understand the fact that restaurant owners these days spend huge amount of money on interiors, why don't they spend a bit on food too? after all, the interiors won't fill our tummies. 😊
just hoping like the last time that they improve. that's all i can do.
