a good fish fry. a traditional souther fish fry with good sides and a casual, almost fast-food, atmosphere. my family and i have been several times and the quality is consistant. try the fried clams, the traditional fried fish plater, and the fish sandwich (it's a must try for first timers). don't go expecting health food or if you are a veggie of the no seafood persuasion.

good food and a lot of it. for those who don't like greasy battered fried food maybe they shouldn't go to a place with "fry" in it's name....or go on tuesday and saturday and get the steamers according to the menu. went for the first time today, got 2 item combo platter and definitely could have split it with my wife. we both got the large fried shrimp which were really good, i also got the clam strips which were pretty good, each platter also came with fries, cole slaw and hush puppies....a lot of food. looking forward to going back.

get the cod or haddock. i haven't ventured to far on the menu, usually getting the "fish sandwich" which is fresh cod or haddock depending on what they can get. it has never disappointed! other than that, i get the frankfurter or coneys from hoffman. if you've never had one, do yourself a favor. you may never want another hot dog again!

great seafood and reasonable prices. if you don't like fried seafood, then you should go to skippers on tuesday night. otherwise, it is good food with reasonable prices.

best by far. been eating at skipper's for years. there is no place like it for quality seafood at the best prices! bring your appetite. portions are huge!!! lunch or dinner, never a wait and food beyond compare!! cooked just right. moist. not over-cooked. seasoned perfectly with a mix that must be a secret family blend. best eats in the triangle for a casual meals with family, friends or just cruising on your own!

love at first bite. skippers is one of those places where you can't judge a book by its cover! the exterior is unassuming but the food inside is the best in the area - the best fish food that is!

in particular the fish sandwich is terrific - and too much food for one. bring a girl friend and share!

outstanding seafood. by far the finest seafood with large portions reasonably priced. if you like fried oysters, you will love skippers. the fish taco's are off the hook. try'em once and you will crave them.

enormous piles of delicious. everything on my plate -- the fries, the shrimp, the fish -- came straight from the frier. i knew this -- i watched it happen. it smelled so good that i ate it immediately anyway and burned myself. it tasted so good that i immediately took a second bite and did it again. two lessons: first, i'm an idiot. second, the food is fantastic. highly recommended.

the best. when i first moved to this area in 2006, i saw the n&o's review of skipper's stating that they had the best fish sandwich in the triangle. for months i couldn't locate the restaurant then i happened on to it in passing. i went in and have been a devootee ever since.
james, barry, sam and steve have become friends. they always welcome you with a friendly greeting and the seafood(of all kinds) is the best fried fish i've ever had.
the portions are large and the price very reasonable. my wife and i eat there at least twice weekly and heartiliy recommend skipper's to anyone who likes fresh, delicious fried seafood.,

hofman hotdogs!!!. they've got snappy's! i'd been missing these things ever since i moved down here 10 years ago. i heard from a co-worker that they had them, so we came in for lunch today. man it takes me back. i'll be checking out their seafood next time. that fish sandwich they have looks huge, but i got to have my hofmans.

great place!. the best fried seafood in the area. very kid friendly. fish sandwich bigger than your head. we were very impressed with the quality of the food and service. it reminded me of walking into an old florida fish fry, and that's a good thing!
can't wait to go back.
