upon entry to sincerity cafe and restaurant, you'll know that you're in one of binondo's finest. framed magazine and newspaper articles featuring therestauranttell you that this is truly a must-try for foodies like me.

we tried their signature dishes: sincerity fried chicken, oyster cake and kikiam that goes well with their sincerity fried rice. we also had polonchay, frog legs and pancit.

their fried chicken is almost the same as your typical "baon". a little variation is the perfectly blended batter, not so salty and not too much on the flour. the tender, juicy chicken make it worth a second, or even a third serving! gravy was also served, though there's nothing really special about it. you can eat the chicken by itself and enjoy the same goodness. the oyster cake, as other foodies describe, has a very thick consistency because of the cornstarch, nevertheless, it is rich in flavor, using good quality and tasty oysters. the fried rice has a generous amount of chorizo and bits of ham, it makes you say, "kanin pa lang, ulam na!". again, it is neither too salty nor oily.

according to my chinese aunt( in-law), their kikiam is close to the authentic homemade kikiams their chinese parents prepared for them. it is not the usual street food kikiam that we all know. itis stuffed generously with what seemed like pork used in asado and there wasn't a hint of any extender in the filling. the sauce that came with it is a perfect match.

the polonchay cooked in garlic and oyster sauce is the same as our crispy kangkong, though these chinese leaves are a bit more flavorful, bitter even to many. good thing, the sauce made the taste even, you won't notice you already had a big serving of what was bitter initially. the crunchy stems make it even more appetizing!

i didn't try the frog legs, though the family said it also deserves a thumbs up! it tasted like chicken adobo, but the thought that i'll be eating frog legs made me chicken out (though i used to eat this when i was younger). the pancit was nothing so special. but we ordered it for my husband who was also having his belated birthday celebration, chinese tradition, of course.

the servings are small for our family of 10. when the menu says small, we have to order 3 small servings of the same viand, or 1 big serving and 2 small ones. the price though, was competitive enough in that area, and you also have to consider that therestaurantalready have a name in their line.

in a nutshell, i would recommend this to foodies who want a taste of home-cooked chinese goodness. if in binondo or ongpin, this small but homey cafe andrestaurantshould be a stopover in your itinerary.

we tried sincerity's original fried chicken and was surprised that it was one of the best tasting we ever tried.

the fried chicken being offered in half and whole cuts are worth p160 and p320, respectively.

there's something about its breading that it doesn't even need any ketchup to enhance the taste. it's just delicious as it is. works best with rice!

thisrestaurantis also among the oldest we've listed so expect old patrons queuing for it.

i went there a few times, and was not disappointed. their dishes were well-prepared to my fukienese background taste. great variety for my selection. crispy fried chicken was very good; so were oyster pancake, bitter mellon, lumpia, 5-spice meat roll, etc. etc. thisrestaurantdoesn't disappoint.

we went here during chinese new year in the hopes of tasting the highly recommended sincerity chicken. (tip: masaya magfood hopping sa binondo kung maaga ka) there was, of course, a long queue so waitlisted and went to anotherrestaurantwhile waiting. because of the volume of customers, we had to share our table with another couple. the interiors were simple, lots of pictures and news clippings on the wall. hindi naman sobrang tagal ng food, okay rin yung naexperience namin na service. maybe we’re just not fans of chinese chicken. hindi bumenta samin yung lasa. masarap naman pero iba pa rin talaga siguro yung pinoy chicken for us. maybe for some, mas benta sa kanila. go and try it out to find out 🙂

we’re looking for something new to dine in lct when thisrestaurantgot my mother’s attention. we were in queue because the place is quite small even though we just needed a table for two. we ordered half dozen of chicken (8pcs) and the other one in the picture with two plain rice with huge servings! the foods’ not salty at all. actually i can say that they’re umami. my mother and i think that all the food here has huge servings which is very sulit in their prices (160-300+), i think. this resto is best enjoyed with big groups. your thousand will surely be sulit with huge servings of food. i love the noodles we ordered in small that actually came in big servings. the taste is great. the chicken is okay, flavorful but lacks a bit of salt or is it just me who likes to eat salty foods. anyway will come back here to taste the other food in their menu. good job!

oh my goodness.

i travel most of the time to binondo and when i actually got to eat here, the first thought that came into my mind is that "why did i not know anything about this goodrestaurantexisting here"? well, i think it is because of its small signage and references of it being actually located there. i mean, not everyone is like me who found it while walking, but to some, it may be pretty difficult to find this place. but finding this resto is worth it. the price is reasonable to it's serving. and the food, as the millennials say, "it's quality and legit af". the chicken served is very satisfying with it being served in small cuts making it very easy to chow down. the pancit... legit! i have yet to try their oyster cake because damn it looked so fine!

i'm satisfied and i'm sure you will be too!

we ordered classic chinese-filipino foods like the kikiam, siomai and the oriental fried chicken. all of them tasted sooo good especially the oriental chicken. napakalambot ng laman and sobrang malinamnam ang balat. bawat kagat mo sa meat ay heaven. seriously mapapapikit ka sa sarap and lambot ng laman. i really reccomend it!

the atmosphere of therestaurantis so calming and vibrant. there's so many chinese signs and letters na parang pumasok ka sa ibang bansa once you entered the restaurant. music was also classical chinese songs that adds to the chinese atmosphere.

i really reccomend this place if you're planning to visit chinatown. 5/5 👍

never knew about their highly rated fried chicken before dining there. ambiance aside the fried chicken is definitely a must eat. the serving is huge! even the small one is good for 3 people. and the price is affordable. although the preparation of food is kinda slow the service people are attentive, just don't expect 5 starrestaurantservice here. remember you are here for the sincerity fried chicken not talking to the crew :)

[sorry for the low quality photos, i had the food for takeout so they had no plating 😞]

my mom told me she won't be cooking tonight, and since i was in the binondo area for a meetup with a former colleague, i volunteered to buy dinner for us. i suddenly craved for fried oyster cake, so i looked for arestaurantin lucky chinatown mall that carries this yummy dish.

i remembered that they have this in sincerity, so i dropped by before heading home. my mom told me to buy 2 dishes, so i had the liberty to choose another dish. these were my orders:

✔ fried oyster cake (small - php 200) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
they have two sizes for this, and the bigger sized one is at php 250. the waiter told me that the small one is already good for 2-3 people, so i chose that even if it's just a 50-peso difference if i choose the large size. the chewiness of the oyster cake was evident, and the freshness and "sweetness" of the plentiful oysters all over the dish did not disappoint. the beansprouts gave the dish a nice crunch, too. the dish can get a bit cloying when you eat a lot, so make sure to order this for sharing! 😄

✔ bbq spareribs (php 150) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
the waiter told me that their version is more of the asado (thinly sliced pork) type, and not the usual spareribs with the bone still in it. this is also one of their best sellers (according to the menu), and indeed, it tasted so good! a more flavorful and smokey take on your usual asado, sincerity's bbq spareribs' meat is so tender and succulent, you love each bite of it. the sauce was also a nice addition. 👌 ahhh! so yummy! one thing they have to improve on is the serving size, as the 150-buck dish only has 6-7 pieces of meat!!! 😭 super bitin!

the dishes were great, but it would've been better if we ate them while they were hot. i got home at around 3pm, and we did not reheat the dishes anymore when we had dinner.

therestaurantarea was quite limited, and was jampacked even at around 2:30 pm. the waiter who assisted me was attentive and courteous. i remember looking into the store a couple of times while waiting (i sat outside), and when he caught me looking, he'd mouth, "wait lang po ma'am, __ minutes na lang po." 🙈 haha. i wasn't try to rush them, i was just worried they would not be able to see where i'm at.

overall, this is a great place to get your chinese casual dining experience, for an affordable price. 👍

one of the well-known restos around binondo, this extension of the originalrestaurantstill does a good job of bringing what was loved about it in the first place to lucky chinatown. even if the place is spacious, it can still get pretty jam-packed around lunch time. with that said, the food is still very delicious and heart-warming due to how they add their twist to chinese cuisine favorites. it's still a wonderful experience even with the less homey feel of the place. so if you don't manage to find a seat in their original place, just take a walk to here and more likely than not, you'd have a seat.

chinese restaurants serve the same basic food, but each has its own specialty dish to boast or to be associated with. as for sincerity, it is the fried chicken. for first timers in this place, i must say this is the obligatory dish. in contrast to traditional chinese fried chicken, that of sincerity are chicken parts with special coating and marinade. being a chinese restaurant, there are other classic items included in the menu such as noodle soups and main dishes. interestingly, the prices are really cheap, and the servings are huge. it is therefore a nice place to enjoy good quality chinese food with family, friends or a date without spending too much. it is a delight too that thisrestaurantis located at the lucky chinatown mall, giving customers an upscale and more comfortable ambiance.

the best fried chicken i have ever tasted was here. therestaurantwas small and we waited in line for a spot but the service was fast. we had the makot bola soup, shanghai and the legendary fried chicken. the soup was hot and delicious. it warmed my insides. the shanghai was okay but the chicken was the bomb. it was juicy, not too oily and one bite would make you want more. even the bones were tasty. the food was reasonably priced (php 440.00 for i and my hubby) we would definitely be back here. i just hope they would have more branches.

so we beg the question: how true is it that sincerity's chicken is the best tasting fried chicken recipe ever?

since sincerity was featured many times on tv and magazines, people from all over the country covet a table at any of their branches. thisrestauranthas been blown up from its humble beginnings into one of the philippines' best. its ambiance in the lucky chinatown mall branch is better compared to the oldest one in nueva street (also in binondo). from the entrance, you could see the large collage of descriptions, pictures and testimonies about the restaurant. the dining area is l-shaped, while the rest completing a square is covered by the kitchen.

service was okay. since it was exactly dinnertime, there were many people in queue to eat in the restaurant. the waiter handed us copies of the menu and he took our orders before we were seated. chairs were provided to the waiting guests. they merged the tables and brought more chairs to fit our group

while i had a good taste of its chicken in the former branch, this one was in lucky chinatown mall turned me down. it was not only me but my family didn't like the chicken served as well. it had flavorful, crispy and crunchy-coated skin and tender meat, yet it lacked something undetermined for now.

while all food here don't cost an arm and a leg, their prices are considered a little steep to me because of the little amount of serving.
