upon entry to sincerity cafe and restaurant, you'll know that you're in one of binondo's finest. framed magazine and newspaper articles featuring the restaurant tell you that this is truly a must-try for foodies like me.

we tried their signature dishes: sincerity fried chicken, oyster cake and kikiam that goes well with their sincerity fried rice. we also had polonchay, frog legs and pancit.

their fried chicken is almost the same as your typical "baon". a little variation is the perfectly blended batter, not so salty and not too much on the flour. the tender, juicy chicken make it worth a second, or even a third serving! gravy was also served, though there's nothing really special about it. you can eat the chicken by itself and enjoy the same goodness. the oyster cake, as other foodies describe, has a very thick consistency because of the cornstarch, nevertheless, it is rich in flavor, using good quality and tasty oysters. the fried rice has a generous amount of chorizo and bits of ham, it makes you say, "kanin pa lang, ulam na!". again, it is neither too salty nor oily.

according to my chinese aunt( in-law), their kikiam is close to the authentic homemade kikiams their chinese parents prepared for them. it is not the usual streetfoodkikiam that we all know. itis stuffed generously with what seemed like pork used in asado and there wasn't a hint of any extender in the filling. the sauce that came with it is a perfect match.

the polonchay cooked in garlic and oyster sauce is the same as our crispy kangkong, though these chinese leaves are a bit more flavorful, bitter even to many. good thing, the sauce made the taste even, you won't notice you already had a big serving of what was bitter initially. the crunchy stems make it even more appetizing!

i didn't try the frog legs, though the family said it also deserves a thumbs up! it tasted like chicken adobo, but the thought that i'll be eating frog legs made me chicken out (though i used to eat this when i was younger). the pancit was nothing so special. but we ordered it for my husband who was also having his belated birthday celebration, chinese tradition, of course.

the servings are small for our family of 10. when the menu says small, we have to order 3 small servings of the same viand, or 1 big serving and 2 small ones. the price though, was competitive enough in that area, and you also have to consider that the restaurant already have a name in their line.

in a nutshell, i would recommend this to foodies who want a taste of home-cooked chinese goodness. if in binondo or ongpin, this small but homey cafe and restaurant should be a stopover in your itinerary.

sincerity in lucky chinatown accepts dine-in customers, 2 per table and they also have acetate on the tables which i think is already a standard with restaurants nowadays. they also have to check your temp and spray your hands with alcohol before you enter the resto.

because its sincerity, i had to try their famous chicken of course. but...

sincerity chicken 🌟🌟🌟 - i dont really know what the hype is all about? the chicken is ok. but there's nothing special about it. serving size is good and price is cheap so i guess its average.

pork spare ribs 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - loved this one! tasty! soft and it pairs best with the yang chow rice!

yang chow rice 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - yum! serving i think is only good for 2

pansit 🌟🌟 - i think its bihon? its ok. nothing special.

---

it was just quite a hassle because ourfoodwas for sharing but we had to get separate tables haha imagine us moving thefoodto the other table 😂

service was fast, because there weren't many people.

i went to divisoria with my mom and brother and before going home, we had our lunch there. i suggested to eat at sincerity because i liked their fried chicken. luckily, there was no line yet and got seated immediately.foodwas also served quickly. but i was a bit disappointed with the chicken - it wasn't as tasty as before or even with the one i tried at their robinsons galleria branch. i felt guilty as i have recommended this place but it looked like we weren't too satisfied with the food.

sincerity whole chicken is sinply the best. it has lot of flavors and crunchy. some may find it too strong but for me it is okay. their fried oyster pancake is okay, not a fan but it has some sticky rice as well. overall it is okay for sharing andfoodtrip.

i don't make it too obvious, but, i love chinese food. i don't always say it probably because chinesefoodis integrated with filipino cuisine and it's quite common. but whenever i get the chance to eat chinese food, i go for it. i love that cuisine because it's so upfront, it doesn't use fancy titles to make it sound appetizing. when it says, "stir fried beef", that's what you get. but what i like about chinese dishes is most of them have a smoky taste because of their way of cooking: using strong flames and wok.

been here in this branch many times. we always order buttered chicken, kikiam, yang chow and sweet and sour.foodtastes good. a bit pricey for the servings. per order is good for just 2pax.
but i would still go back if i crave for their buttered chicken. 😊

me and my sister had ourfoodto go here since my mother has always been raving about their chicken. we had their whole chicken and it was very much worth it for the amount as well as the flavor. the chicken had a nice and even sort of sweet flavor to it but it was so good. it was very juicy! it's one of my faves now. i also had their shanghai rice. it's not salty at all and goes well with the chicken. i really enjoyed ourfoodhere. :)

we’re looking for something new to dine in lct when this restaurant got my mother’s attention. we were in queue because the place is quite small even though we just needed a table for two. we ordered half dozen of chicken (8pcs) and the other one in the picture with two plain rice with huge servings! the foods’ not salty at all. actually i can say that they’re umami. my mother and i think that all thefoodhere has huge servings which is very sulit in their prices (160-300+), i think. this resto is best enjoyed with big groups. your thousand will surely be sulit with huge servings of food. i love the noodles we ordered in small that actually came in big servings. the taste is great. the chicken is okay, flavorful but lacks a bit of salt or is it just me who likes to eat salty foods. anyway will come back here to taste the otherfoodin their menu. good job!
