loved the ambiance... cool open air bar setting and u can eat peanuts and throw your shells on the floor.servicegood. food average. potato skins were good and huge!! black bean salad..was excited to order but vry disappointed - it was actually bland despite the ingredients - weird. salsa was essentially just tomatos - not what i expect for salsa, but a good quesadilla. overall, a 3.75 on a 5 scale.

really good place. this place is always packed for a reason. the food is well prepared, hot (a big deal with me), and properly priced. theserviceis has been excellent on each visit. silver spring house is one of my favorite places for just a beer or for a meal.

solid, pleasant.. a fine place for a routine lunch on a warm day, or a post-game dinner. nothing special in the food department, but you don't go there for that. just don't expect prompt seating andserviceif there are cars parked all over the lawn.

terribleserviceat the bar. if you are looking for a great place to lift a cold one and have some great wings - silver spring house is the place. located on the corner of kemper and snider rd, it's a great little getaway without having to go too far from home--you almost feel like you're on vacation. the restaurant has indoor dining and "outdoor" dining with a great little patio or in the large seating area that is surrounded by huge windows the restaurant leaves open during nice days. chicken is what is on the menu and they do it up great! the wings are a unique style - double dipped and delicious. and the pete's special - a tasty chicken burrito is one of my favorites. the atmosphere is casual & friendly. and they have the best tasting fresh popped popcorn around - just grab a bowlful on the way to your table. the only negative thing about the place is theserviceat the bar - slow, unfriendly and unaware. i have visited many times so this is not a one time situation on a busy night. in fact, the last time i visited i waited for 15 minutes for a bartender to get me a drink. once i flagged one of the bartenders down, they said i had to ask for a different bartender to get it for me. i decided to leave at that point.serviceat the tables is much better. overall, though, it's a great value and a fun place to visit.
