go for the experience!

seriously, this is one cafe each and every person visiting agra should drop by at. run by acid attack survivors, it is a brave and wonderful initiative to make them confident and independent. the place is beautifully decorated, and the pictures of the survivors dressed and smiling beautifully are just lovely. a whole wall is filled with interesting books and another is lined with clothing and accessories which you can buy as a contribution to the cause.

the first thing that will hit you there is that the menu card has no prices! it gives you the freedom and responsibility of paying as much as you feel like. as a heads up - for a plate of paneer pakoras, finger chips and two coffees, we calculated a total cost of rs. 250 (average pune standards) and doubled it, i.e. we paid rs. 500.

the girls and women working/serving there are very quiet, modest and sweet. service is very good, and food quality is good too. despite being a social cause, quality and professionalism are not compromised upon anywhere.

it is quite an experience to visit this place and see how these unfortunate girls build back their lives. but their confidence and self respect does not make you pity them; all you feel is pride for them.

it is a place beyond food, it is nourishment for the soul.

this is not a review..i am just sharing my experience. while roaming around agra we stumbled upon this beautiful place in the afternoon. we had coffee, sandwich and french fry...it is not the food which is important here..it is the people who run this place...they are all victims of acid attack...they do not charge for the food they serve. it is just what you contribute to their cause...
the place is frequented by foreigners...there were no other indians than us...it has a library,a shop selling few artefacts made by these strong ladies and excellent ambience where u can relax...i consider myself fortunate to be in this place and would request everyone to visit this place at agra....you will feel good...the sheroes' strength and resilience will rub on you and you will feel happy..

one of a kind of place i've been to, this cafe is run by acid attack victims to get them social acceptance and an earning.
i have never seen a menu without the pricing, the concept is to give really good services to the customers and once you ask for the bill, the sweet girl smiles and says "what ever you like to give".
out of the box concept.
the staff is super friendly, these brave girls are doing wonders here.
a good collection of books will make you stay here for hours if you are a bookworm kind of person.

sheroes derives from a pun on 'hero' for females. place is dedicated to acid attack victims.

it's the world's first café chain run by female acid attack survivors.
i was recommended my this place by friend, my heart with full of respect and really wanted to visit this place at the earliest as possible.

sheroes hangout is located at the fatehabad road, sheroes is equivalent to a ray of hope, it is the ultimate example of courage and tribute to all the women who are the “female heroes” in the real sense.

now i coming back to the restaurant and its food-  restaurant is decorated as per modern requirement modern day hubs that serve equally an amazing food with excellent service. restaurant is fully air conditioned, the interior is stunning and different alike than traditional agra's restaurant.

whats make  the difference this bistro hires only the acid attack victims- an anomaly which the indian society is still fighting with it.

food: there are mixed cuisine of chinese and indian on the menu. i liked the honey chilly potato, along with grilled cheese sandwiches. it also serves tea, coffee and shakes. overall a nice place is it!

the place is more of an experience than just a hangout place. the place is run by victims of acid attack and the place has a very positive energy. the food is average at best. the cold coffee is quite good though. one can actually spend long hours here with a book, cold coffee and munchies. the pay what you want concept is new and can leave some people a little uncomfortable. but one pays for the cause rather than the food
