a place run by acid attack survivors. so, it’s the responsibility of people to support it whenever one visits agra.

i visited this place when i was inagraa few days ago, after i got to know that this place is run by acid attack survivors.

i ordered veg sandwich and chai. both of them were mediocre in taste.

service is good. everyone at the cafe welcomes you with smile. ambience is chic. when it comes to prices, there’s no fixed price and it is up to the customer, how much ever he pays.

the only suggestion i could give to the management here is to improve the taste of food drastically. if food taste doesn’t improve, customers may feel it as donation instead of support.

hygiene - 4/5
taste - 2/5
service - 5/5
ambience - 4/5

overall experience - 4/5

i had read about this cafe prior to ouragravisit and had wished to experience this unique concept. its a small cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, a limited menu, books to read and a fun interior. go there to celebrate their spirit and support them (they don't have a price tag on any item, it's "pay as much as you wish"). taste and selection of menu is a routine one and seems like a homely affair rather than a restaurant/ cafe feel.

been a restaurant which is run by acid attacker survivors; people often don't prefer going there, but it is one of the few restaurants inagrawhich you should definitely visit!! the food is amaing + their hospitality too...also you'll love the graffiti walls there. there is a small section for book lovers and few clothing and jewellery items kept for selling!!

there are some places where you don't go just to eat / enjoy food but you go to appreciate and hats off to the girls who are real fighters. sheroes - as the name suggest is basically a restaurant inagranear to taj mahal (2km) run by acid victims she + heroes = sheroes
1 thing i want to tell you that there is no mrp written for any of the food / snacks served in sheroes because these girls have very big heart and they don't charge from you for the food. it's totally up to you how much you want to pay. they have a tag line "eat good! do good! pay as you wish!"

other than eating food you can buy handmade bags, key chain rings and other iteams made by these brave girls.

food: 4.5
staff and service: 5
ambience and character: 5
value for money: 5

my favourite: seasonal veg and green salad.

i ordered kali mirch paneer, seasonal veg, green salad and chapattis. order was served in 10-15min.
kali mirch paneer was tasty and a little bit sweet in taste, saesonal veg was basically - all the sesonal veg (carrot, cauliflower, onion, broccoli, potato pieces) boiled with spices. green salad was fresh full of carrot, onion, cucumber, tomato pieces along with lemon pieces. ghee was wrapped on chappatis.
my wife and me enjoed th lunch in sheroesagraand returned with sweet memories.

amazing place. great effort to rehabilitate acid attack victims. on my vacation toagramade it a point to visit here. apart from the message of women's empowerment that it gives, the food itself is also awesome. we tried almost everything from pasta, noodles, sandwiches, burgers and shake. every thing was great tasting and served with a smile. there is a pay as much as you want policy, with no menu prices. kudos to the effort and also the food.

sheroes hangout run by acid-attack victims, is a cafe which runs on the "pay as you wish" concept.
a cozy eatery where welcoming you are these beautiful and brave women who work at the outlet.
the decor is very peppy and the walls have photos and paintings of the survivors. also available is a good collection of books and magazines to glance through while one's dining here.
the menu is limited and options are basic and vegetarian.
in terms of taste and presentation, the food is good but nothing great however the greatness of the initiative of such a cafe makes up for the okayish food.
while i was in the cafe, i was also fortunate enough to see a short film that talks about the journey of the victims and how sheroes has given them a new way of living and has brought them back to the mainstream life.
this place is a must visit for those visitingagrasince i'd want each one of you to promote the good work being done here and to motivate and encourage these heroic ladies!

so this is one of the place inagrawhich has a very unique concept. opened up 2 years back, it is run and managed by acid survivors to give the world d msg and show their fighting back spirit. a cool place which is cafe cum library cum small shopping place.
the ambiance is jazzy with well decorated walls around ( you have stories of ppl working over there).
we had been on lunch over there. we ordered paneer kadhai along with rotis. ( rotis are small in size and hence order accordingly). the service is good but takes a bit of time due to rush which can be ignored. the sabji was perfect! we also ordered masala fries, pasta, veg biryani and lastly cold coffee.
everything tasted good. no complaints foodwise. cold coffee is also gr8 and a must try over there.
lastly, it is a pay what you want to give restro.
overall superb experience and highly recommended while your stay in agra.

this place does not need a review. i am so glad they are located right opposite the gateway hotel, and am sure the guests at the hotel must be dropping by at this place. it is a humbling experience to be at this cafe, makes you count your blessings and makes you want to do something for the cause of acid attack victims. like a visit toagrais not complete without the taj mahal, this also is a must visit. go there, have a cup of chai and spread the cheer.

i would say this place is a must visit place in agra. why must visit? because this place is no less than a monument, a monument of respect. this place is run by victims of acid attacks, despite they going through the trauma, they fought against the odds and stood for themselves and here they are. they operate a restaurant, more than sympathy they have respect of people. people no longer want to avoid them, they visit them. respect for the owner of the place. such restaurants should open at other parts of the country as well.

from outside it appears to be a small cafe, however it has got a play area for children. there is enough place inside to handle different type of crowds. on one side, there is a wall of fame, where the pictures of the survivors are there. adjacent to that wall, there is souvenir wall, from where you can take something as a memory. there are keychains, magnets, t shirts etc. the next wall is a bookshelf which is full of books. so you can just drop down there, with a cup of coffee, enjoy the inspirational books or a book you find interesting. there is variety of books available for you to choose from.

talking about food, they serve delicious food which are very good in its presentation, and sufficient in quantity. they mainly serve vegetarian food. the food comprises of various cuisines, such as italian, indian, chinese, etc. here you don't pay for the food. you pay for what value you perceive for the food and experience at this restaurant. so the amount you pay here goes like donation.

talking about the service, the staff here are more committed to work, they are encouraged, they do all the work, there is no division of work here. they talk to each other they enjoy their time there and that is wonderful to see.

i have two suggestions, see if that is workable:
1) instead of taking any amount for food as donation, the food should be given some number. otherwise it appears that we are paying something as sympathy. putting amount to the food will represent more of professionalism and dedication of the staff. people will come for the restaurant to generate more revenue and there will be more employment. (my personal opinion)

2) there should be someone who interacts with the customers, explains the concept of the restaurant. i am sure not all people visiting the place would know everything about the place. give some insights which are not known to public at large and let the word of mouth spread.

over all i would say it is no less than taj mahal, when inagrathis place should be visited. at least i am going to visit the place every time i visit agra.

sheroes is an amalgamation of she + heroes & that's what this place is all about! it's about taking charge despite of all the challenges....it's about how to move ahead in life & everything that you can do from what you are given so kudos to all the beautiful women out there. sheroes cafe is run by acid attack victims & what they are trying to do here is break free from the funding phenomenon & establish themselves. the one thing that will strike you with sheroes is that there are no prices on the menu & it's basically because you can pay as you wish. even though sheroes has a cause to it, in no way is the quality of food & service compromised. we ordered a butterscoth shake, cold coffee, fries & a cheese cutlet. all of it was pretty scrumptious & really yummyie.

the staff was also very friendly nd sweet...it's a nice place to sit, relax, sip & munch on. additionally you can also read books here that have been donated to the cafe by book lovers & you can buy dresses that are created by themselves. in addition to all that, i loved the graffiti on the cafe walls....it was beautiful & vibrant. all in all, it's a must visit if you are visitingagra:)
