sheesh mahal - the leela

as the name says, the leela palace it’s in itself one of the best hotels to be in. the entire leela experience to celebrate my “first wedding anniversary” was awesome.
we made reservation at this open air lake facing restaurant, thanks to mr. ramiz (butler manager, the leela) for recommending this outlet to have dinner on our anniversary. extended thanks to mr. sagar (the restaurant manager), who had reserved the best view table for the eve and also recommended the best local specialties and the drinks from the menu. i also extend my gratitude towards mr. ajith who took care of our table, as he made sure the food served was warm in that freezing weather. each and every staff was so welcoming and smiling. altogether, it was memorable dinner with delicious food and a good staff which made the evening worth it.

first of all, what a view you get when you dine next to a lake and that too... lake pichola. you can either reach sheesh mahal by road or you make reservations to avail a boat ride. the reservation are based on time slots and the best time to enjoy the beauty of udaipur is during sunset. this place gives you a chance to see the udaipur is lights specially the city palace. although, no one can compare the view from jag mandir... but anyways, this place has its own charms and leisure. as usual, the staff is very polite and chef reaches out to you for feedback.

i have been visited to this place a week ago to have its breakfast buffet.this place is awesome and the service which they provide you is 10/10 .the food is delicious and ambience is so good here. you can have more than 25+ dishes in breakfast.overall i can say it is must visit place if you are planning to visiting udaipur.

the view is just spellbound, food is good, but once you are there you won’t concentrate on your food rather the ambience. perfect dining location for couples.
we had dhaniya chicken, murgh mokul, non veg platter everything tasted good.
may be price is on the higher side, but then who cares you are with her, in leela, along the lake side it won’t get better.

visited this place on september 12 and just loved the overall experience. it serves only indian food and is on the costly side, but every penny spent is worth of it.

veg tandoori platter - we loved the overall taste and presentation.

main course:

palak mangodi - can't ask for more authentic taste. serving size - sufficient for 3-4 people.

dal makhani - one of the best dal makhani i ever had. serving size - sufficient for 1 person

yellow dal tadka - average taste. serving size - sufficient for 1 person.

cost - approx. 5k

staff was courteous and helped us with the portion size and other details about the dish.

i would like to thank mr. digvijay and mr. santosh from restaurant team to make our dining experience so delightful.

i read an article which stated that it is one among the top 10 romantic restaurants in india 🇮🇳 and honestly after visiting it i was completely in awe of the elegance and grandeur of the place, as much as i have seen with my own eyes this is the most romantic one indeed, food 🥘 was mouthwatering although prices were on the higher side but made sense seeing the man made wonder kind of a place ... a perfect 👌 10/10

had been waiting for this one for a really long time, we had dinner and it was amazing the setup, the hotel, the service the food all of it was as spectacular as it can be, i was overwhelmed by the service, prices are on the higher side but once you are here it's all completely justified.... cost for 3 people for 3 course dinner set us back 8k but totally worth it

a world class destination dining experiences, overlooking the lake palace and the majestic city palace. the menu has some of their signature rajasthani / indian dishes, including lal maas to make selection easy. good quality and preparation but then, you are not there for food so enjoy and live the moment.

an amazing and spectacular luxury dining place in udaipur. don't miss whenever you explore the city! its an open air restaurant and it looks very awesome at night as it is surrounded by city palace, taj lake palace, jagmandir and oberoi udaivilas. all glittering lights and spectacular ambience makes the dining memorable and romantic.
the food served was delicious with rajasthani touch and fresh spices just added values to it. the staff was so good and can do anything to meet the customers satisfaction.

the best restaurant in the town. you can't deny the fact you will surely find it better than the other fine dine restaurants be it any. the perfect ambience for your date. food is perfectly blended in tastes promised in menu which is again rare to find. try their paneer in any form its succulent enough to melt in your mouth. their zafrani seekh kebab is another delicacy with perfect mix of flavours. it is worth spending every penny. and an effort enough to save to dine their.

if someone wants to experience the “city of lakes”, there is nothing better than sitting in this luxurious restaurant with the beautiful view of the lake pichola. the food is to die for. truly a majestic experience, something to cherish for ever. my experience was uplifted by the fact that it was my birthday eve and i couldn’t have asked for more.

udaipur is known as 'city of lakes' and most of the luxurious hotels are located by the lake.
leela is also located on the shores of lake pichola.

the food, staff, ambience, service, hospitality is to the perfection. when you step in this place guests are greeted with so much love and affection.

everything on the menu is so tasty. i have been here before a couple of time and had indian food. the indian food is very tasty from dal makani to their biryani everything is very tasty.

on my last visit we had continental food. the burger is served with chips and is so filling. it's enough for one person. the portion looks huge. the burger tasted nice.
we also ordered red sauce pasta, pizza and nachos. all of the food was very tasty.

the ambience here so amazing. you can see the city palace and glimpse of old city.

the place is very expensive but it's worth coming here for the taste of food, ambience and their hospitality.

you must definitely visit this place with family, friends or even a date.

a lake view table, dim lights,an elegant ambience is what you will experience the time you step into this restaurant operated by the leela hotel. 4 different chutneys are served on every table before meal which are par excellent and the pineapple chutney is to die for. the best lal maas i ever had in my life, appetizers were upto the mark, made with fresh and top quality ingredients that is what i felt in the first bite. though you may feel difficulty in finding reservation here and the bill may turn little heavy on pocket but the interactive chefs, happy stewards and a lady taking down the authentic rajasthani chapati makes this dinning a wonderful experience.
